Dressing in lighter colors since arriving in Wep'keer she can most often be seen dressed in pale blues, pinks, browns and whites. Fur trims her clothes and lines it, at least the outer clothes she sews herself, in order to keep warmer in the harsh environment.
Scars, Tattoos and Piercings
Mari has the divine markings of a god, the replacement for Yumigami after something happened on the Celestial Plain after Amaterasu's return to it.
———————————✘Personality Information✘———————————
Rather cynical, Mari has a hard time getting close to people. Usually slipping into a snarky, sarcastic attitude to cope with anything she doesn't understand she can be quite easily frustrated. The more distressed she grows the more Mari lashes out until she comes to the point where she’ll burst into tears and withdraw away from others.
Unsure of how to really express herself Mari can come across as cold more times than not. She doesn’t mean to come across this way and in fact does crave affection. Because Mari is uncertain about how to initiate any sort of a relationship, perhaps a little too timid to actively start any such thing, she’s become convinced that it’s not something for her. Because of this she often finds herself lonely, filling her time with anything that might keep her preoccupied or else she grows broody.
Foul mouthed, Mari has a habit of putting people off because of it. In a way she’s come to use it as a mask. So many have grown used to this attitude that they’ve come to expect it and any change of pace leaves them looking at her oddly. Hating those looks as she’d grown Mari stopped attempting to communicate what she might really be thinking or feeling. It is partly this that has left her unable to express herself properly in recent years.
Nonetheless she does have her heart in the right place. Seeing people helpless leaves a bad taste in her mouth, despite who they might be. To those she actively likes Mari has a hard time saying ‘no’ though she hates this about herself. She feels that it makes her something of a pushover in the long run. Under the mask she's put on for the world Mari is quite gentle and has a big heart, oftentimes giving what she has to another even if she tries to make it obvious that it wasn't her who did it. When she does come to care for another she is fiercely loyal and protective of them.
Likes
She enjoys wandering and seeing new places and things as well as stargazing. Her hair being played with is also a feeling she quite likes though rarely gets to experience. When feeling particularly playful Mari will gladly roughhouse with someone she's close to though this is few and far between after her brother moved out when they were younger.
Dislikes
Mari hates being told what to do, especially when she feels that she is making the right choice herself. Likewise she despises being pestered over and over about things she already knows or has been told before, feeling it unnecessary to keep going on about it in the first place. She has no patience or love for anyone who is not willing to give what they can to help another, even when she herself cannot bring it in her to give advice to others leading to some amount of self-hate in the end of it.
The cold is also high up on Mari's dislikes though in Wep'keer she attempts not to complain too much about it to avoid becoming a broken record and to complain endlessly about a situation she had no control over.
Talents
Mari has a penchant for drawing and now works to grow accustomed to using a brush and ink in place of more traditional methods she'd grown up using before waking up in a strange new place and culture. She likes to sing though she also thinks that she has little ability in it, oftentimes reserving it for singing to herself while she is alone.
Shortcomings
Foulmouthed as she is, Mari has a tendency to chase people away with her off putting demeanor. Because of this she often thinks of herself as a horrible person who can't do many things correctly, especially when she needs to work with others. She has very little self-confidence in herself, oftentimes brushing aside any compliments she receives over her work because it's not as good as someone else's. Because of this she has a hard time taking action when it concerns directly helping others, at least in most cases, because Mari has no confidence that she is making the correct choices. Despite this she has something of a hero complex, unable to run and save herself if there is danger and someone else needs help. Without a second thought she will rush in and do her best to help even at the threat of being injured in some way.

History
Only close to a fair few in her adult life hobbies and work were what made up much of Mari's life. It left her with a sour taste in her mouth, knowing very little happened to her that could be considered important or life-changing. She always did her best not to dwell on it, throwing herself into fictional words via books and video games.
Estranged from her family she rarely visits them, feeling the need to support herself. Growing embarrassed when she has to ask for help Mari grew steadily into more and more of a shut-in as the years passed. Outwardly she didn't seem to mind, however.
It wasn't until she and Cedar stumbled upon an old beaten up scroll did anything come to change. Only then did she wake up in a time and place not her own. | |
