| And another Nuzlocke run! This time for the new Pokemon games! I'm rather excited, though nervous as well. Given that there are more ways to interact with your Pokemon, it gives more of a reason to grow attached to your Pokemon.
So this will be a rather interesting or nerve wracking experience.
I'll try to update regularly~.
- Rules:
--Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
--The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. If the first encounter in the area is a Double Battle in dark grass, the player may choose which of the two Pokémon they would like to catch.
--While not exactly a definite rule, the general consensus is that players must also nickname all of their Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
--Also not a definite rule, but the general consensus is that a black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
--Strongly implied, though not explicitly mentioned in the comic, is the stipulation that the player can use only Pokémon they have captured themself, meaning traded Pokémon, mystery gifts, etc., are prohibited. Trading and retrading the same Pokémon (for the purpose of evolving a Golem, for example) is something of a gray area, and may fall under optional rules. As of White: Hard-Mode Episode 3, it is implied that the player can accept Pokémon that are received freely from NPCs.
--Also strongly implied is a prohibition against voluntarily resetting and reloading the game when things go wrong. Being able to do so would render all of the other rules pointless.

So far, so good. We went through and beat up the first gym leader rather easily. Calyx knowing Rollout really helped in that case. So far, I'm really liking him~.
I missed out on catching a Pikachu and a Farfetch'd, due to being too high a level. So for a while there, I had only Calyx and Opehlia to rely on. Soon after, I beat Professor Sycamore and got Charmander~.
That was a difficult choice but eventually settled on Empress. She's pretty strong and I'm hoping to keep her, along with my other Pokemon safe.
At the moment, I'm in the mansion, having found the lost Furfrou. I'm moving on afterward to catch a new Pokemon on the next route~.

So, big update is pretty big. I'd neglected to go about small details just so I don't spam this section too much.
Regardless, here it goes.
My Nuzlocke run hasn't been bad all that bad. I managed to keep the majority of my Pokemon alive and was pretty confident about continuing the streak.
That was until I got to Grant. I figured I'd be alright and started through his gym. Got to the top without much trouble, mostly due to everything being that of ground and rock type.
The minute I start battling him, Calyx starts off strong and nearly took out Grant's first Pokemon. Then, he decided to use a Hyper Potion because why not? Lands a crit and kills Calyx.
I was not pleased. Thankfully, the rest of my team managed to take out his Pokemon without much trouble. There were a few close calls though, and that's not a battle I want to look back on.
I kept going forward, no problems met. Even going up against Team Flare in the beginning didn't give me much issue. After a bit however, I had to run to the Pokemon Centers several times and level grind.
Mostly due to, when I was heading to the Reflecting Cave, Shinji was killed via a trainers Machoke. I was devastated. Shinji had been my rock for such a long time. I was planning on getting him this hair cut later on too...
- Click:
But now I can't do that! Ruined all my plans for Shinji!
Since then, my Emolga - Vex, has pretty much become my rock in the entire game. One her own, she took out all the trainers in Korrina's gym as well as Korrina herself.
I went on to get the Mega Ring and my Lucario. Now with three Pokemon who have Mega-Evo's, I'm a little more confident about continuing on. My Gible will also have a Mega-Evo after a while.
The Mega-Evolutions won't guarantee I'll be out of trouble but it'll be a big help.
Currently, I'm heading to the next gym, which is Ramos' in Courmaline City. I'm confident about being able to beat him. So look out for the next update to see what happened on that matter!

| Here to burst your bubble a little - Garchomp's mega stone is one you find only after you beat the Elite Four and do some running around in the last city before speaking to Sycamore again. | |

Ah well, I'll live either way. Don't really need it.
