Her head hurt, throbbing horrendously. It pushed all other concerning thoughts to the back of her mind, even if she could feel grass and dirt under her instead of a couch or bed. Monica was sure she'd gone to bed at Celia's, she hadn't drank any alcohol or gone out. They'd played some games and gone to bed, that was that.

So why was Monica fighting to avoid the sunlight hitting her eyes and making the headache worse? At the very least there was a nice breeze, keeping her cool. Monica felt too hot as it was, if only because of the headache.

Monica was sure there was something stranger as well but she couldn't place her finger on what other than the obvious. She could feel things fine, other than the debilitating headache that wasn't going away. Eventually pushing herself up Monica glanced around, taking in the strange terrain. Grassy plains were broken up by the occasional tree and Monica was sure she could spot the silhouette of a mountain range in the distance.

'Where's Celia?' Monica wondered, jumping to her feet. She had to stop, dizziness assailing her. She'd tottered backwards, feeling as if there was a strange weight there. Monica didn't put much thought into it at the moment, her hands finding their way to her head, squeezing her eyes shut.

Several moments passed before the queasiness passed. Tentatively Monica glanced around again, spotting nothing new nearby. There wasn't even any buildings around here. 'What the fuck...?' She swallowed hard, worrying for Celia. She should have been nearby, right? Celia wouldn't have just let Monica wander off to the middle of nowhere!

Unsure of where to go Monica was rooted to the spot. It was entirely possible that she'd just end up going in the wrong direction and find no one or end up finding someone who'd intend to do harm... Cursing under her breath Monica began to start off after some time had passed.

She stumbled, her balance off kilter. Monica's brow furrowed, confused at this. Sure she was dizzy and nauseus but why was it this bad? Glancing behind her she caught sight of something furry and brown. Monica jumped, spinning around only for it to disappear. She remained frozen, brow furrowed. Swallowing she glanced back over her shoulder.

Sure enough, there it was, a brown tail that was attached to her. Monica could only blink at it, stunned into silence for some time. Eventually she tentatively poked at it. She groaned, burying her face in her hands. It was hers, it had sensation. "Oh dear god, I have to be dreaming..."

It wasn't often anything of real interest caught Raditz's eye. In fact, it was so rare anymore, he often grew bored. Finding things to keep himself entertained was normally just picking on weaker species. That often grew tiring after a while as well.

Nothing provided him a challenge. No one was strong enough to go toe to toe with him. It was an annoyance and one he wanted to quash quickly. Still, no one seemed to exist to provide some form of a challenge.

A dry scoff left him, irritation gripping him as he thought about it. Too stubborn to really put it off his mind, he started forward. It was merely that of wandering, something of a dull habit. He wasn't one to clear his head, merely distract himself long enough to calm down.

In his wanderings, he expected nothing to happen. Another day passed with nothing interesting, nothing to really entertain him.

A sudden surge of power alerted him. Wide eyed, his head whipped in the direction of a surging power. Just as quickly as it had been there, it disappeared. His heart thudded against his chest with anticipation. Just what was that and why had it dissipated so quickly?

Raditz couldn't be sure, not now in the very least. He gritted his teeth, irritated by the lack of an answer. It only took him a moment to gather enough power. A simple leap off the ground and he was soaring through the air, heading toward that power source.

The flight wasn't that of a long one. He'd been rather near the area. What he found baffled him however. A girl, dazed and confused, with a tail. What was more, it appeared that she was one of kind. She was a Saiyan. Or at least, from outward appearance, that's what she looked like. The power, as familiar as it was, seemed to have completely disappeared into this girl.

Raditz snorted, landing not a few feet away. "What are you doing, girl?" He asked. His tone was not friendly, more direct. Seemed the best action he could take, irritated as he was already.

----[x]----

Her head felt like it had taken a blow, pain sheering into her skull. No longer did she feel the heat or weight of a blanket over top her or a pillow under her head. Now, all she felt was the cold, hard grown.

Celia's eyes shot open, pain surging through her head with the action. She placed her hand on her forehead. Her head was spinning and she felt cold. A shiver ran up her spine. She sat up, glancing around the area.

Celia's heart felt like a jackhammer in her chest. All around her was desolated land, buildings that had long since been destroyed. Still, she looked around, questions running through her head faster than she could process them.

That was only until she noticed she was alone. Monica was gone, despite having been in the same home together not long ago. All at once, it felt as if her heart had leapt into her throat, her stomach twisted in knots. Monica was gone! But she wouldn't leave her here, not in a place that looked so dangerous, let alone might have been.

She tried to scramble to her feet. Already wobbly as she was, she only succeeded in falling right back down. It was strange though. It felt as if there was an extra weight.

Blinking, she glanced backward, finding a long, white tail. The fur stood on end, something common for frightened animals. That's when it hit her that it was reacting to her emotions. The tail was hers.

A yelp left her then. She pushed herself up onto her feet without much thought. Head already pounding, a wave of dizziness hit next. This 'new' tail of hers made it even more difficult to balance. She tried to shove it aside, leave however it got there for something to sort out later. Instead, she focused on finding her friend.

"Monica!" She called out, unsure of whether she should raise her voice any higher. "Monica, where are you?!"

Celia was afraid. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to start forward. It would be a slow trek but what else could she do?

Monica hadn't gotten very far before something drew her attention. She jumped as another body landed near her, seemingly of the guy's own accord. How was that even possible?! There was a strange feeling stemming from her tail, almost prickly in nature and Monica could only figure that it was because the fur on it had bristled in shock.

Her brow furrowed, taking in the guy's appearance. Bushy black hair that reached down to his knees and wearing odd clothes that was more reminiscent to armor. There was something furry around his waist though Monica wasn't sure what it was. For all she knew it was just some belt to go along with the rest of his weird clothes. What was he doing, cosplaying or something? Monica cringed, burying her face in her hands. The fact that she had a tail was far less odd than that guy's choice in attire.

"Oh dear god, what are you wearing, sir?"

It was at least something to distract herself from all the weird going on. Monica was still no closer to know just where she was or how she'd gotten here and even why she had a tail. If this was a dream she shouldn't have been able to feel the breeze that passed by or when she'd poked at her new appendage.

His attitude was off putting already, sounding bossy. No doubt the fact that she hadn't answered his question was probably already getting on his nerves. Monica found she didn't care too much. Celia could very well be in the same position as her or could be worrying about her.

A moment later she peeked from behind her fingers, still looking disbelieving at anything that was happening. Her voice was muffled behind her hands though she could still easily be heard.

"Where the hell is this? And shouldn't you be introducing yourself first?"

As predicted he was getting irritated already. Monica didn't have many answers to give though. For the most part she was just confused and wandering.

----[x]----
Trunks had been out running patrols again. They'd relocated just recently though how safe the area was was anyone's guess. His mother was sure that they'd be fine for at least a little while though the androids always seemed to find them one way or another.

He took it slow, high up in the air though he was. At least this way he'd see anything coming from miles away, feel them too if they were powerful. 'So far so good,' he thought.

Trunks still made sure to keep an eye out. A lot of people grew hostile out of fear. Anyone who might still be around could be scared enough to lash out at him. Trunks didn't want to see that happen if he could avoid it.

Chills ran down his spine as he heard someone, a girl screaming for someone else. Didn't she know it was dangerous to get loud like that?! Trunks sped up, working to keep his power levels hidden. Just because he was investigating didn't mean he needed to be sloppy! Still, his heart was beating so loud he could hear it, deafening him.

It didn't take Trunks long to find the girl, her blue hair shades lighter than his mother's and animal ears and a tail. Trunks didn't have the time to worry about what she might be. The girl was lost and scared. The least he could do was offer a helping hand.

"Hey!" he shouted, his voice lowered as he drew near. Her tail bristled at the sight of him and he held his hands up, hovering in the air a few yards away. "Keep it down! It's dangerous and we don't know if there's anything around that will hear you!"

Slowly he lowered himself to the ground, his landing barely making a sound. The sword at his back was a familiar, comforting weight. If nothing else he'd protect them both as best that he could if either of the androids were around.

"Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" he interrogated.

Raditz watched her. Her tail easily bristled, surprised by his sudden appearance. Why she was so surprised, he could only assume. The woman had appeared startled beforehand as well. He wasn't about to ask why, at least for the moment.

He raised a brow as she studied him. In fact, she took her time doing so, not answering his question at all. Raditz felt his irritation flare up again. Didn't this girl know that he didn't have time to be playing around?

When she did speak, he snorted slightly. That was an odd concern to have considering how lost and confused she looked. He didn't point that out however.

"If you must know, it's armor." He answered simply, a bit of bite to his tone. "I asked you a question, girl."

He continued watching her briefly. This girl was rather strange. Despite her outward confused appearance, she still had a bit of bite when she spoke. She was confidence despite her disposition.

"Raditz," He introduced briefly. "And you won't be getting more of this 'polite' nonsense you seem to latch onto. Now, who are you?"

Everything else could be dealt with later. He simply wanted to know who she was and what she was doing here. He couldn't believe that this girl had caused that power surge. Still, this is where that power had lead him.

"You're strange girl." He noted. "Just how did you get here?"

----[x]----

Celia had not stopped calling out for Monica. Still, only her voice echoed back to her. She felt disheartened, unsure of what to do. What was more, lost and confused on top of it all did nothing to help her spirits. Just where had Monica gone? What was this place?

They were questions left unanswered. Instead, a voice rang out, causing her to jump. That prickly feeling in her tail alerted her that it was still there and this was no dream.

Whipping around, she nearly lost balance again. Her gaze drifted about, finding no one in front of her. It took her a moment to realize she needed to raise her head. There he was, hovering in the air. She was dumbfounded for a moment. How was that even possible?

His words didn't even register for a brief moment. When he 'landed', she took a few steps backward, cautious of him. What he said was strange.

"What are you talking about?" She asked, her words cautious. "Who are you?"

She tried to keep a favorable distance between them. At least, she figured it was enough. A moment later, he was asking questions of his own, his more of concern. She didn't know what to make of that.

Celia shook her head slightly in return. "I...I don't know where this is." She answered.

If anything, she wasn't lying. What happened and where she was, she couldn't be sure. Would he be able to clear that up for her? She hoped that would be the case.

Monica shook her head. Armor? For real? She really wasn't sure what to make of that. Where had she ended up that someone felt the need to wear armor? Or maybe she'd just run into the looney one in the area. Every place had at least one, to varying degrees of crazy, after all.

She shot the guy an unimpressed look. Sure he'd asked her a question, what about it? Monica said nothing to it, instead she asked some more questions. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea though. The guy looked as if he easily doubled her weight just in muscle.

A gusty sigh escaped her as she finally dropped her hands, only to cross her arms over her chest. At the very least the guy humored her, even if he made it quite clear he was annoyed to do so. Of its own accord her tail twitched, much like that of an old cat she'd once had.

"Yeah, I'm strange, all right. At least my name doesn't sound like a vegetable's," she scoffed. "And the name's Monica not 'girl'."

Monica found herself growing irritated as this Raditz kept pushing for answers. Her head was throbbing as it was, she'd rather get someplace she could nap that was dark and avoided all this damn sunlight. Finding Celia, of course, was also high up on her priorities.

"Hey, you tell me," she argued, "I just woke up here."

----[x]----
He wasn't quite sure what to expect from the girl. She was on edge and was clearly looking for someone. Was the other girl even around though? Trunks worried that this Monica might not be and if that was the case then the girl before him might be drawing danger to her for no reason.

"I'm Trunks," he said, "and you are?"

Perhaps if he played this right he could get her out of danger with minimal trouble. He'd hate to see someone else fall to the androids. He kept an eye out, glancing around them every so often. Still nothing, that was good. Trunks couldn't let his guard down though, that was how they'd lost the others...

"The androids might be around here, it's hard to keep track of where they are. Don't you know that?" Trunks wondered, his eyebrows furrowing.

He kept his hands up, if only to placate the girl. He'd rather not have her attack him if she had any moves hidden up her sleeves. Trunks couldn't be too careful nowadays.

A shake of the head followed. He couldn't say for sure what city this used to be either. "That doesn't matter right now. Look, if you want somewhere safe you can come stay with my mother and me for awhile. We can search for your friend later but right now it might be better to wait."

It was the best offer he could think of. The girl looked lost as it was, surely a bit of help would be beneficial for her. Mother might even be willing to make them something quick to eat. If not Trunks easily could remedy that.

Trunks spared a tentative smile, holding out a hand. "C'mon, we've been hiding out near here, actually. It wouldn't be a long trip."

Raditz couldn't be sure what to make of her. Her expression only grew more confused, even bewildered. Was this uncommon or had she lost her memory? He couldn't begin to guess and didn't try.

For the moment, she was merely a mystery. Despite himself, he felt curious, wanted to get to the bottom of it. If she was truly strong, she would at least provide some bit of a challenge in later days. That was, if she was the one who caused that power surge.

Eventually, she seemed to find some kind of attitude rather then the confusion that had overtaken her expression earlier. She crossed her arms, a gusty sigh escaping her.

Raditz snorted at the weak reply. Whatever she meant didn't much matter. He shook his head.

"Monica, then." He answered. "I'll call you 'girl' if I wish. You should watch your mouth."

Obviously, this girl didn't have any idea who she was speaking with. Whether she cared or not was not yet clear. He was sure she'd make it as such soon. Raditz didn't care either way.

Her words left him a little confused. She didn't know how she got here? That seemed as odd as she was. Raditz didn't know what to make of it. Of course, he found himself curious of her.

"Strange," he noted, motioning toward her. "Then maybe we can try to clear this up."

If anything, a little more digging might help. Of course, he could have just attacked her as well. Unsure of what would come of that, he held back for the moment. Until he was sure, he wouldn't do such a thing.

----[x]----

Celia shifted slightly. He kept looking around, like there was danger. Maybe there was. With with how broken down and desolated this place was, who knew? She obviously didn't. She felt the tail move with her, an odd sensation and one she tried not to let show. Where this thing came from, she could only assume.

He was quick to introduce himself. The name was odd. She didn't comment on it however. She simply hoped that she could keep it in mind. He asked for her own.

"My names Celia." She finally responded.

Keeping things simple seemed best, even if things were complicated. At least, for her they were. She didn't know what was going on or what had happened. It was a troubling situation, even more troubling when next he spoke.

"Androids?" She echoed, her brows furrowing.

If she could have questioned it further, she would have. He didn't allow it, regardless. Instead, he offered to find some place 'safe', offered a hand in return. Despite her cautions, he was the only one that she knew here, at least for the moment.

Celia eventually took the offered hand. She didn't know where else to go. He was her best bet.

"Al-alright." She answered. "Thank you for the help."

With Monica suddenly gone and in a place she didn't understand, she felt far too alone to really feel safe. At least this person seemed friendly enough. She was more then glad to meet someone who wasn't going to do her harm.

Raditz didn't seem to care much about what his name sounded like. More power to him, she supposed. At the very least it didn't kick up into an argument. Monica wasn't sure if her head could take something like that at the moment. It was enough to deal with all this sunlight as it was.

Any thoughts Monica might have had as to any hidden politeness on Raditz's part was quickly tossed away. He'd seemed like he had at least some manners before he'd talked again. Looks like Monica would be hearing "girl" a lot. She shoot him a look for that.

"Lovely," she said dyrly, "aren't you charming?"

She waited for his answer afterwards as to how she got here. For all she knew Raditz knew more than she did. Maybe he'd been nearby when whatever had happened happened. Knowing Monica's luck she didn't think that would be the case though.

She had to admit she was a little surprised at the sudden offer he extended. What did this guy stand to gain by helping her? From what Monica could assume of him he seemed like the type who was out for himself.

Monica could feel the way her tail moved, the muscles new to her body and thus being fully conscious of them. It was an odd feeling, a distracting one but one Monica tried to ignore. Now wasn't the time to marvel over something like that anyways with a guy with attitude standing across form her.

"Uh-huh... And what's got you so interested?" It was a question that nagged at Monica. At least the answer might not be so weird as how he got here so quickly and seemingly by flying of all things.

----[x]----
Trunks was glad when the girl finally answered. She'd taken to shuffling about as it was, looking unnerved. He kind of hoped it wasn't because of him but he knew better. Everyone was wary of one another nowadays. It was a sad way to live but it was the way things had turned out.

"Celia," he repeated, "It's a pleasure to meet you."

He nodded. Of course the answer was androids, what had happened that she didn't know that. A frown tugged at Trunks' lips at the thought. Had she hit her head or something? He didn't see any blood on her but...

It was a relief when she accepted his offer. At least this way they could talk in hiding, away from any prying eyes. Who knew if the androids were nearby, snooping around instead of their usual attack first strategy. Trunks wasn't sure which one he preferred to happen.

Trunks nodded behind him, back the way he'd been coming. "Can you fly at all?"

If not he would carry her but he'd rather not impose if she already knew how. The last thing he wanted to do was offend Celia or make her feel uncomfortable. All manner of questions ran through his mind about her situation and why she'd been so loud and where her friend had gotten lost at, after all. Trunks would rather like the chance to ask them while she was amicable enough to him.

Raditz snorted in response. The attitude remained, regardless of who she'd been talking to. If she was one of his people, she should have known better. Still, she continued with this banter. What was it that kept her in this manner.

He shook his head in return, waving her words off. "Sarcastic as well. Well aren't you a bowl full of sunshine."

Honestly, her disposition alone seemed to back up the fact that she was a Saiyan. Yet, she seemed unaware of this fact. Did something happen with her memory or was she not aware of it at all? Despite the race being wiped out, some still survived, completely unaware of what they were. Was she one of them?

She remained cautious, even as he offered to help her. In that sense, he couldn't quite blame her. Most of his kind were rasher then this however. He snorted slightly.

"Do you have anyone else who's willing to help you, girl?" He shot back. "With your luck, you'll be killed by anyone else who stumbles across you. Something tells me that is not what you want."

Whether or not she would take him up on his offer remained unseen. Raditz supposed if she didn't, it would simply be a loss suffered and he'd move on. He could find someone else of interest, in time.

----[x]----

In the very least, he was polite. Blunt about what they needed to do, but in the very least polite about it. She was a little unnerved by this 'android' business however. What had he been talking about? Was that the reason this place was so desolated?

The way he put it, it seemed that was the case. She couldn't even begin to wonder what had happened here or just why. Perhaps that would be explained later on.

"It's good to meet you too." She responded, trying to sound at least a little friendly. Stuck in this situation, sounding and asking as such was difficult.

He seemed just as confused as she was, however. No doubt, this wasn't something that he'd seen before. Celia toyed with the idea of faking amnesia. Then again, how could she prove that? Traumatic events could cause suppression of memory, but would that work?

She blinked, her attention turning back to him. "F-fly?" She echoed. A quick shake of the head followed. "No, no I can't fly."

It wasn't as if people did. Not where she was from, at least. Wherever she was, why she now suddenly had a tail, and how people just conveniently flew, she couldn't be sure. Some answers would have been nice right about now.

Monica didn't let the sarcasm he shot back bother her. Her head hurt and she didn't know where she was, of course she was grouchy. She left that out, however. She didn't know Raditz and couldn't begin to guess as to what he was up to anyways.

She rolled her eyes, reaching up to rub the heel of her hand over her forehead briefly. It'd be easier to think without the damn headache. There didn't seem to be much to do about that for now, however.

Lost, partially ill and with a strange tail to boot Monica wasn't sure what to do. Raditz wasn't doing much to help the situation, despite his offer to the contrary. For all she knew the guy was planning something. Still, it wasn't like there was anyone else around here.

"My luck?" she echoed, tail halting briefly in it's agitated swaying. "S'oskay, you don't me."

Monica shifted, leaning her weight on one leg and bringing her hand to her mouth in thought. If he had seen something... She hated to admit it but she'd rather figure out what was going on sooner rather than later. Even still, it was obvious Raditz was being more than a little manipulative here.

"As... appealing... as your deal is you still haven't said what's in it for you," she argued.

----[x]----
Confusion was apparent on her face. Trunks certainly hoped she didn't have any sort of memory problems. Out in this place he couldn't begin to wonder how someone with that sort of condition would have survived long. The androids had quite a murderous intent, after all.

At the very least Celia was compliant, even if she was wary. She was still hesitant as she moved towards him, after all. Trunks hoped she'd come to trust him a little more. It might be the only thing that would help keep her alive at the moment and to find her friend later.

He nodded. He'd assumed as such. Most people would have been flying to seek out their lost group if they had control over their ki. Was she even able to fight? That thought worried Trunks. Many survived solely by hiding and that didn't always help...

"If you hold onto me I can get us to safety quicker," he said. "I know it's a little awkward but I'd rather get us out of sight soon."

Trunks wasn't oblivious to the way Celia had paled either. Perhaps she even had a fear of heights. If that was the case she could hide her face away if she had to. He certainly hoped that she wouldn't be difficult.

Raditz wasn't sure if he was correct in thinking it or not. She was slightly irritated and he could have sworn he felt some amount of power radiating off of her. It was a dull thing however and dissipated just as quickly.

That was a curiosity. She didn't seem aware that it was there, even as if fluctuated. If that was the case, things were becoming a little clearer.

He watched as her tail flicked in irritation. Raditz scoffed slightly. The way the conversation kept going, others would start to feel this power as well. Raditz wondered if, perhaps he knew her a little more, he could take a stab at her. If she was rather angry, she would lose control of that power.

It was simply a matter of figuring out what would upset her.

"Well aren't you cheery." He answered. A wave of the hand followed. "I'm not a patient man. Figure out what you want to do or I'll leave you to die."

Despite this threat, she appeared unfazed. He couldn't help but feel a little amused about that fact. This girl was an odd one.

A shrug of his shoulders followed. "If I'm honest, mere entertainment." He answered. "Though, it seems you're not even aware of what you are. This might become dull quickly."

----[x]----

Celia listened as best she could. He seemed to know what was best, after all. Of course, the mention of flying made her heart speed up. She never cared for heights, even less cared for the idea of falling. The whole situation made her shaky.

Still, it sounded better then just standing around. It was obvious he was growing anxious as well. She didn't want to be the cause of any trouble that might find them.

"It'll be fine," she answered, finally starting forward. "Just don't drop me..."

She could handle awkward. That was the majority of her life. Dealing with this kind of fear was an entirely different story. Whatever he could do, however he managed to fly, she just hoped it wasn't too fast. Then again, she wondered if it would be better that way.

Her heart hammered against her ribs as she wrapped her arms around him. If he got it over with quickly, she'd feel better. She preferred a no nonsense kind of action.

"How far?" She inquired before he would start off.

If anything, it would give her a judge of just how long they'd be in the air. Putting her thoughts on that might make her feel better.

It took Raditz a moment to actually answer again. It looked to Monica like he was studying her. She had no real opinion as to that. Whatever had him so curious of her kept him around for the moment. Whether that was a good thing or not wasn't something that Monica could say that she knew.

There was a scoff from him, quieter than she'd expect him to be. Raditz seemed quite outspoken as it was. Maybe he had more tact than he looked to have.

Monica remained unimpressed at his answer. It wasn't much of a surprise now. He seemed to be a fan of the death threat or at least implying it. Whatever he was capable of, well, Monica had to wonder. She'd always been scrawny but next to this guy she was a twig.

It wasn't until he actually answered her did irritation flare again. There was a strange feeling to accompany it though she wasn't quite sure what it was. There was something shift and moving in her but it didn't feel like anything tangible and real. Monica shoved the thought aside. She'd dwell on that later.

"Two things, bite me and I'm leaving."

With that said she spun around on her heel and started off, doing her best to adjust to having a new appendage. It was strange how off balance she still felt with it. Why'd she even have a tail anyways?

----[x]----
Trunks shook his head. Of course he wouldn't drop her, he was better than that! So long as nothing happened it shouldn't even be a problem. Trunks certainly hoped things would go smoothly, at least. He'd rather not have to distract and lure the androids away before doubling back.

"I promise I won't," he said.

Even as she wrapped her arms around him Celia seemed hesitant to do so. Trunks was glad that she wasn't shaking or else she might lose her grip. He'd keep an arm around her, just in case, regardless of this. Better safe than sorry.

Trunks glanced down at her. How far was it? He honestly hadn't been keeping track. At the very least he could give her an estimate though.

"A few miles at most. If you think you can stand it I'll go quick to get through it faster," Trunks answered.

Only when Celia seemed ready did he start them off. It was simple to kick off, an arm tight around her. His hair whipped about his forehead as they went though he paid it little mind. Trunks had long since grown used to it. Instead he focused on what was around them. Perhaps the androids weren't near this area. He sure hoped that was the case.

True to his word Trunks moved quickly, expelling more ki to do so. If it got them back to the hideout quicker the better. He had more than enough energy for the trip anyways.

He wondered what was on her mind as he waited for her to reply. She took her time, in the very least. Her tail lashed in agitation once more. Her expression gave that feeling away now on it's own.

If she was going to answer him, she took her time. She looked none too impressed by his words. Raditz crossed his arms over his chest, finding his patience was already wearing thin as well. She obviously wasn't aware that he was sparring her enough time as it was.

"Well?" He pressed after a few beats.

It didn't take long for a reply to come forth. Her tail flicked in irritation again. He could feel that power surging forth once more. The more he pushed, the better the result he'd gotten.

Raditz wasn't surprised by he reply, waving him off as she did so. He merely snorted in response, keeping an eye on her as she went. Already, he had plans of following after, if only to see what might come of this girls power.

She hadn't realized her potential. At least, not yet. Maybe something would come along to help prove that much.

----[x]----

She would have felt rather awkward in this position if it hadn't been for her confusion and fear warring with each other. Being bashful was the last thing on her mind now. Her heart still hammered against her chest, even as they remained rooted to the ground.

The estimate in the least was a comfort. The way he put it, he could get there quicker if need be. Celia just hoped she could handle it.

"Sure, I-I'll be okay." She answered.

It was the least she could put out. She wasn't even sure if she would really be alright or not. Celia figured it was all worth a shot in the end. If she couldn't, she'd just tell him. That was, if she could find her voice to do so.

Only when she'd spoken up did he ready himself, kicking off the ground easily. Her stomach fluttered slightly though, it wasn't something that she quite found herself afraid of. It was only when he started off at a high speed did she feel an amount of panic and fear overtake her. Her grip tightened around him, burying her face away just to ignore how high they were.

Celia simply told herself not to worry or not to look down. Anything that could distract her thoughts was a good thing. She just hoped they wouldn't be stopped.

Monica had wasted no time in leaving as she'd said she would. Whatever Raditz decided to do wasn't her problem now. She'd focus on finding some place safer than wandering about in the wild. For all she knew she'd landed somewhere with little to eat, or at least little that was safe to do so.

Overhead the sun was bright, beating down on everything with little to block it. There was only the occasional tree in the area. Monica didn't bother to rest under them. The more progress she made the better, at least she hoped that would be the case.

She tried not to think about how much time passed. It was only discouraging to do so, especially with the sun rising higher. It seemed like hours had passed but it wasn't like Monica had any sort of time piece to keep track either. So instead she wandered.

However long had passed didn't matter after awhile. Monica glanced around, swearing she had heard something, a low rumble like a dog growling but from far off. It sounded like it belonged to something bigger to boot. She found herself rooted to the spot, looking around for the source of it. She was out in the open, plateaus and other large rock formations lining the area with the sparse trees.

There wasn't any time to duck behind anything for cover. Before she could really do much of anything the thing making the noise had lumbered out from behind one of the plateaus, gazing around. It was an unmistakable form of a t-rex, towering above her and real as could be.

Monica didn't get to move but three steps before it caught sight of her, charging. Off balance, Monica attempted to dart off only to fall face first to the ground. The ground below her seemed to shake and she rolled out of the way just in time to avoid being eaten entirely. It was a simple matter to keep rolling out of the way, her heart hammering a mile a minute and unable to catch the minute she needed to get back to her feet and try to run.

In a matter of seconds she found herself trapped, one of its great feet on either side of her. Any sort of sound Monica might have made was stuck in her throat. Instead she threw up her arms as if that would somehow shield herself from being eaten, squeezing her eyes shut. Behind her eyelids she could see a bright flash of something though what it originated from wasn't something that she could begin to guess at.

There was a great roar, one that left chills running down her spine and goosebumps raising on her arms before a loud thump followed. There was something wet, hot and sticky on her, causing her to flinch. Almost tentatively she blinked, staring up at the cloudless sky. From her raised arms she could spot blood all over herself.

"Wha... what...?"

----[x]----
It didn't feel all that long to Trunks. To Celia, however, it must have been longer than it felt like. Her grip on him was tight, her hands fisted around in his clothes. Trunks didn't mind it, if it meant that Celia felt safer with the flight.

He didn't let his attention stray, however. Trunks kept his eyes peeled for the androids. There was nothing here as of the moment. If their luck held out it would stay that way for some time.

Eventually Trunks slowed, descending near his and his mother's hiding spot. Only when their feet were on the ground did he speak up, glancing down at Celia. She wasn't too much shorter than him, just an inch or so though she was gripping tightly to him as if her life still depended on it. He patted her shoulder, drawing her attention.

"Hey, we're here. Come on," he urged.

It might take her a moment or two to get her bearings back, Trunks was aware, but he'd rather not stay out here. Just a a street down and into a building and they'd be safe again. Perhaps his mother had made some progress on that time machine. At least, he hoped nothing had happened to it. Time and again they'd encountered several problems with it that delayed it's use. Trunks was beginning to wonder if they'd ever get it finished.

He shook the thought away, taking Celia's hand and hurrying them to the hiding spot. There was no need to hang around here if they didn't have to. No, it was safer for them both this way.

Raditz tailed the girl. He didn't worry about her sensing him at all. The woman clearly didn't know what she was doing as it was. There was something in her, he knew it. That surge of power was amazing. Still, she was unaware that it existed, more unaware that she was seemingly the source.

He was quiet, pondering what she was up to. On and off, it almost looked like sh was looking for something or someone. Raditz didn't question why. Perhaps she really was trying to find someone.

Several minutes passed. He wasn't sure how much time really ticked by. It wasn't so important to him. Her next move was, however.

Already, he'd spotted the large animal stalking her. A smirk tugged at his lips, wondering what would become of this. Would he have to save her? Would he even bother? Raditz wasn't the type. Still, if she was simply too weak to fend of the creature, why waste his time?

Only moments passed before the large creature started it's attack. The way Monica reacted was laughable at best, more akin to a humans than a Saiyans. What was more, she was panicked and quickly cornered.

Raditz figured she was finished. A scoff left him, ready to turn his back. A sudden fluctuation in her power level drew his attention again. His head whipped back to where she stood, wide eyed at what he'd witnessed. So he had been right after all!

Blood rained down, the beast obliterated. She appeared in shock, even as he stepped forward.

"Well, have you figured it out yet?" He inquired, crossing his arms over his chest. "Or are you going to keep standing there, looking like a fool. You were the one who killed that beast, after all."

Whether she accepted that fact or not remained to be seen. She seemed one who would deny it. Regardless of what she did, it was the truth. She couldn't run away from it. Not with that kind of power untapped and uncontrolled.

----[x]----

Celia wasn't sure how long they fly through the air. She didn't care to count minutes. It seemed like too long of a time and her heart didn't calm, even as her feet hit the ground.

That alone was a comfort. Her stomach was twisted in knots and she felt sick, but at least they were on the ground. He tapped her shoulder, speaking up. Slowly, she opened her eyes, loosened her grip.

The area looked just as desolated as the last. As pulled herself away, she only glanced around briefly. It was so quiet, eerily so. Nothing made a noise, though it felt as if she could hear things clearer.

She ran a hand through her hair, blinking when her fingers brushed passed something on her head. She hid her alarm. That was something she could investigate that later. Or at least, she hoped so.

The thought was put to a halt. He took her hand and started toward a building. Celia allowed it, glancing up the tall, old building. Was this really a safe place to hide?

Celia was otherwise silent, afraid of attracting something. Inside, perhaps she would speak again. She figured Trunks had questions, after all, ones she wasn't sure how to answer.

It didn't take him long to lead her inside the building. Where he would lead them next, she wasn't sure. For the most part, it just looked like a normal, old building. Maybe there was more to it then what she saw.

Monica took several long seconds to snap out of her shock. She was covered in the dinosaur's blood, the coppery scent filling her nose. Her stomach rolled a little, her head still throbbing horribly and making it hard to think straight. 'What the hell is going on?' For the life of her she couldn't figure it out.

She blinked, irritation flaring in her and driving some of the shock away. Monica should have guessed the guy would be cocky enough to follow her. She'd had yet to get up, still on her back and trying to get her heart rate to slow back down. Even the fur on her tail had yet to stop bristling.

Reluctantly she pushed herself up. There were several scratches and cuts on her exposed arms from rolling around to dodge that dinosaur. Monica tried to ignore what remained of it, the remnants all over.

Pushing herself to her feet she felt shaky on them. Whatever she'd done left her feeling drained in a way she couldn't quite explain. She was tired but not because she'd overtaxed herself physically or anything... Nonetheless she ignored it, scoffing as she tugged off her shirt. The very least she could do was try to get some of this blood wiped off with the parts that weren't drenched in it.

"Shove it! Unless you got some place I can take a bath I don't wanna hear it!"

She was finding it difficult to get the blood off. With only a small portion of her shirt relatively clean she couldn't get it all off, instead it smeared and spread further. Eventually she gave up, tugging it back on, despite the fact that it was soaked and reeked of it. Behind her her tail lashed this way and that, both out of agitation and confusion.

Besides, Monica wasn't even sure what Raditz was going on about. What was she supposed to be figuring out? She hated guessing games.

----[x]----
It didn't escape Trunks' notice when Celia looked surprised as her hand passed her ear. What was that for? He kept the question in mind for later. For now they needed to get her settled in. It wouldn't do anyone any good to jump to interrogating each other.

She was quiet, maybe getting her bearings back. Trunks wouldn't begrudge her that. Everyone needed it some time or another. It was best that way, able to gather her thoughts when she could.

In the mean time Trunks lead them carefully through the building. It was just a matter of getting to the door and heading down to the lower levels. It was there that he and his mother remained hidden. He wondered what she would say when he brought Celia in with him. Trunks supposed they would find out soon enough.

"My mother might be a bit surprised," he said as he made his way down some steps.

Once he reached a door he rapped his knuckles on it a few times before slipping in. Only after Celia entered as well did he close it behind him. It was a simple thing afterwards to gesture for her to follow. His mother was around here somewhere.

"If you don't mind me asking, who were you looking for out there? A friend?" he wondered as they wandered the halls. Some were poorly lit but that was because most of their efforts were in other rooms, where work was actually being done.

She didn't respond to him, not at first. More or less, she was focused on the blood. No doubt, her stomach was rolling. She didn't look like one who had seen any combat. Even if it was just animal blood, the scent alone would send those with weak stomachs running.

He sniffed, not at all bothered by it. Given his record, blood and gore had become a norm in his life. For her, that didn't seem to be the case. It was written all over her face.

A moment later, irritation replaced that shock. Her tail bristled again, her expression less then a cheerful one. She pushed herself up from the ground, despite the blood pooling around her.

It was strange. Most would have been more effected. If anything, in shock at the very least.

"Well, you've certainly shown some promise." He said, trying to jab at her a little. "Maybe you're not an wasted effort after all!"

She was tending to herself, trying to get the blood off. It didn't take her long to snap at him. He snorted slightly in response. A quick temper to boot. Now that was something he was used to seeing.

Eventually, he motioned to her to come with him. One more try wouldn't kill him.

"I know of a place." He answered. "Though, if you can't fly, I'll have to carry you."

It was obvious that her power was uncontrolled. In time, if she was really willing to learn, he could help her with that. Still, Saiyan's were stubborn and it appeared she was no different. Training her could be more difficult then he knew.

----[x]----

Now that she'd discovered them, she felt those strange ears twitch every once in a while. Sounds were a little easier and clear to hear. She blamed that of the silence around them. Everything was so quiet. No other voices, no other people.

Just what had happened to this place? Androids had caused this? Was that even possible. These were things that she wanted to ask. Still, for the moment she kept those questions silent.

She blinked, glancing at him again. The words were brief and quiet. It didn't take him long to find a place that led into lower levels, leaving her to ponder those words. She guessed visitors was rare.

"I take it there aren't many people around?" She inquired back.

If the woman was startled, Celia could at least come to understand it a little. Part of her was unsure if she really would come to understand. It seemed that he lived through all of this, after all.

Eventually, he'd led them to a door, rapping his knuckles against it a few times. A moment later, he motioned for her to step in first. She did so, sparring a quick glance around. The inside was a bit of a mess though, she doubted in this situation being tidy wasn't a priority.

She blinked, glancing back toward him when he spoke. She shook her head a moment later.

"Monica, she's my friend...more of family now...I woke up and she was gone."

Celia couldn't explain it anymore then that. How she ended up there, where she was from. He was liable to write her off as crazy if she rattled on about that. Instead, she would keep that information to herself.

Her worries mostly remained on where Monica's whereabouts were anyways. Now that she knew this place was dangerous, she hoped that her friend had found a safe place to hide. That was, if she was here in the first place. She couldn't even be sure of that.

Monica didn't want to think about the fact that she should have been more freaked out by all of this. Somehow it felt a little too natural that this had happened even if she wasn't sure how or why it was. What had she even done? It wasn't like she had any answers. Whoever Raditz really was it seemed he had the answers she needed.

For the moment she pushed those thoughts away, focusing on trying to get cleaned up. The overpowering smell of blood wasn't helping, already feeling ill to begin with. Now her stomach was rolling all the more. Monica tried to ignore the carcass nearby.

"Oh, ha ha," she snapped sarcastically.

Nonetheless she'd stopped what she was doing. She wasn't getting much cleaned off with it now. It wasn't like she had any sort of spare change of clothes around either. Her tail continued to thrash, not at all thrilled about the situation.

Monica still wasn't sure about going with Raditz. Celia could be around here still, if at all. What if leaving meant leaving that Celia was out here alone in danger? Eventually she heaved an agitated sigh, shaking her head. He didn't seem at all bothered by the bloody mess around her, in fact he just looked downright amused by it.

"Why the hell would I know how to fly?" Monica shot back. Nonetheless she warily stepped closer.

----[x]----
Trunks shook his head, their foot steps seeming to echo around them. The hallways were always this empty, lit up only so that they could see when they moved room to room. He figured his mother must be busy at work yet again. It seemed to be all they did anymore.

"Not really, no," he said, "it's just my mother and me. Everyone else we knew died..."

He didn't feel the need to say more. It was painful to recall as it was, especially that of Gohan, his mentor. He tried to shake the feeling. Now wasn't the time to dwell on it all...

Just up ahead were the most used rooms between the two. It was there that his mother could be found. Trunks certainly hoped she hadn't left, she never had before, at least not without telling him. It always made him anxious when his mother left, especially without him. It wasn't like she was a fighter, after all.

Trunks blinked, glancing at Celia. "I'll patrol later, hopefully your friend will be all right."

It was the best he could do to ease her worries for now. She certainly looked like she needed it. Trunk would do his best to find Monica for her. The more the merrier and he certainly didn't want to see anyone else falling prey to the androids.

There was a brief bit of silence. Trunks wasn't sure what to ask next. There was a lot there but it was all buzzing around in his head. What one might be best to ask? He found it difficult to decide.

"How did you end up around here?" he finally said. As he asked he pushed open a door, one where he heard sound coming from behind. It was here they would find his mother.

She was recovering quickly. That was natural though, if that fact dawned on her, it was probably shoved aside. In her irritation as it was now, perhaps she simply didn't want to bother with the thought. Raditz didn't try to reason what she did or how she thought.

Instead, he focused on her once more. The power level had dwindled to almost zero now. Perhaps the only thing keeping it up was her current annoyance. It seemed as good as guess as any.

Once more, sarcasm left her. This was becoming something of a norm and one he would tuck away to remember. Someone so irritated now was easy to prod, after all.

Eventually, she stopped tending to the mess. Sticky as the blood was, it wasn't going to come off so easily. An irritated sigh left her before she spoke.

"Most who know how to control their Ki can." He answered. "Or were you not aware of that? It's not as uncommon as you would think."

Did something really happen to this girls memory? True, some were weaker then others but with time and training, it was an easier feat to obtain. So why didn't she know that?

"What, would you like me to prove that too?" He inquired further. "Or did you hit your head at some point? Lost your memory?"

The jab would no doubt be enough to make her snap at him, if not more. Raditz didn't care either way. Getting a rise out of her was all he really needed.

----[x]----

She had felt a little bad for asking. The thought of everyone being dead and gone was a shock enough. For him, he probably lost family and friends. She hadn't meant to open any old wounds but judging by his tone, it seemed that might have been the case.

"I'm...sorry." She answered.

Celia knew it would never be enough. It wouldn't bring his friends and family back. Still, she hoped that he could take some kind of solace out of it. If anything, it was a topic she wouldn't be bringing up again. That was unless he wanted to speak of it on his own.

He lead her forward. The place was remarkably larger then she would would have expected. She tried to take it all in while she could. There would probably be time to look about a little more later.

"That's what I'm hoping." She answered. "She can be...stubborn, more cautious then me but a bit more forward about it. It'd probably just be best if you tell her I was here."

If anything, there would be no trouble. She didn't want either of them getting hurt for something that could have otherwise been avoided. A misunderstanding, it seemed, could easily lead to death in this place.

The question that came next was one she expected and one she couldn't explain. She didn't really even know how she got here, just that somehow, she had.

"I'm...not really sure." She answered. "If I really did know, I would have told you."

The most she could think was that she wasn't lying. The thought was shoved aside when he pushed the door open, revealing another woman and a room full of machinery. She looked up, blinked a couple of times as if surprised, then glanced at Trunks.

"You managed to find someone out there," She started. "That's a bit of a surprise. You're not hurt?"

A hasty shake of her head followed. At least it was a start. It seemed this woman was nice enough. Still, she felt awkward, almost as if she was intruding on them. It might have simply been her. She wasn't quite sure.

Even as she tried to tend to herself she could feel Raditz watching her. She tried not to let that bother her but it seemed to be what she could expect. The thought wasn't very comforting though she shoved it aside. Monica would have to worry about that later.

Instead she'd turned to Raditz, more than eager to get all this blood off of her. It was sickening, the sticky mess still filling her nose. She didn't quite like the smell, her head throbbing further. All that noise the t-rex had kicked up had only made it worse.

She blinked, head tipping to one side. Ki, what was that? It sounded like something she'd hear out of an old fighting game. Monica didn't mention that bit though. Raditz was already picking at her and he showed little intent to stop. That was another thing she tried not to let bother her, to varying degrees of effectiveness.

"You say that and yet you're probably the first one I've seen to fly," she admitted shortly.

Monica scoffed, stepping closer. Now he was beating around the bush? All she wanted was a bath! Whatever Raditz was trying to accomplish wasn't something Monica could figure out.

"If it means getting a bath sooner then suuuure, I totally hit my head," she answered. There was that faux playful tone of voice in use, if only to better mask her irritation.

----[x]----
He shook his head, waving a dismissive hand. "It's not your fault," he said simply.

The trek down the hallway was relatively quiet after that. Perhaps Celia felt as if she'd crossed a line. Trunks didn't bother to speak up just yet, mulling over the questions in his head. It wasn't until he settled on the friend she'd been seeking did conversation strike back up.

Trunks glanced at Celia, filing away what she told him. At least the very least it would be something to go off of. Maybe she'd be able to give him a physical description later just in case. Some people could be difficult to find, after all, even in desolate places.

"I'll keep that in mind," promised Trunks.

A frown twisted his lips. She wasn't sure how she'd ended up here? That wasn't exactly what he'd wanted to hear. He hoped that it wasn't anything serious, that he'd just gotten lucky and found another survivor. They were so rare anymore...

Pushing open the door he was greeted by his mother. She was toying with something or other, the large time machine in the back corner abandoned for now. Or perhaps she was working on smaller pieces of it. Trunks didn't think too much into it past that.

"This is Celia. Celia, this is my mother, Bulma," he introduced, sparing a small smile. "No, she's not hurt. I don't think the androids are around here or they might have heard her before I'd found her."

Raditz waited on her to speak. Whatever she tried to tend to with the blood seemed a wasted effort. If he had to guess, she probably looked a little pale underneath all of it. At least she wasn't one to faint. That much was a blessing.

It took some time before she gave up trying to wipe the blood away. That much wouldn't simply be wiped off. Thinking on it, he'd have to fetch her new clothing as well.

A long moment passed before she actually spoke. The look of confusion was apparent on her features. A sarcastic reply soon followed, one that didn't surprise him.

No, the only surprise he really felt was the fact that she had never heard of Ki or witnessed anyone flying before. These had become normal sights, even for regular people, he'd come to learn.. How was it she didn't know? It just seemed impossible.

"Well, that's certainly strange." He responded, a little more baffled, no bite to his tone to really back it up. "Where are you from?"

He had doubts that question would actually be answered. Still, it wasn't from a lack of trying, in the very least. Maybe given time, she'd speak up about it. His patience wasn't so thick, however.

A brief snort left him as she finally stepped forward. Another sarcastic remark left her. It seemed this was a general humor she rather liked using. He wondered how long his patience would last with that. Eventually, if he turned it around on her, things would be fine.

"At least you're cooperating." He noted in response.

It only took him a moment to grab her wrist, tugging her closer. Keeping an arm at her waist, he waited briefly. She hadn't panicked but she did appear slightly alarmed. A smirk tugged at his lips at that. A little fun couldn't hurt her.

A simple kick off the ground and he was in the air. He shot forward a moment later, wondering if she was prepared for it or not. It didn't matter to him. Getting this done and over with was in his best interest. Finding out who she was and where she was from seemed priority now.

----[x]----
Celia was glad for the change in conversation. She didn't want to be asked anymore about how she ended up there. That wasn't something she could exactly explain. The expression that had crossed his face was enough to tell her he was unsure about it, after all.

"I-it's nice to meet you." She responded, a small smile tugging at her lips.

It was a quick introduction. The woman named Bulma nod briefly in response. She was glad that the woman was friendly. Perhaps only so because other people were 'rare', as they claimed.

"Heard her?" She echoed. "What were you doing out there anyways?"

Celia felt a little awkward at that. Of course, for these people her move would have been considered stupid. She hadn't known, even if everyone else did. Now that she thought about it herself, given the area, it wasn't a good move at all.

"I was looking for my friend...Kind of yelled a few times."

Bulma appeared shocked by that reply. Celia cleared her throat awkwardly in turn. She didn't care of explain anymore then she had to. Something told her that both might push for answers at some point.

"Well, sounds like you got lucky." She responded. "You're alone, then?"

Celia nodded in response. She didn't like to think it. Monica had to be somewhere out there, right? Still, a worry gripped tightly. What if she'd been killed or what if she was hurt? She felt a little guilty for not looking either. She could have been near, for all she knew.

"Well, you're free to stay here if you don't have anywhere else to go. We wouldn't mind the company."

After she'd spoken, a brief wink followed. Whatever concern or shock had been there washed away into something a little more friendly. Celia managed a smile at that.

"I appreciate the gesture." She answered. "As long as you don't mind having me."

Monica didn't care much for this Q and A session. It just kept putting off the time she could use to get herself cleaned up. The blood was drying already but it still felt thick on her, even smeared as it was. Her hands found their way to her hips, annoyance causing her tail to twitch all the more.

Besides, what did it matter where she was from? Monica couldn't begin to figure Raditz out. Whatever was going through his head was a mystery to her and she wasn't sure if that was a bad thing or not.

"I'm from the middle of nowhere. What does it matter?" she shot back.

For his part he didn't sound as condescending as she'd have expected. Was it really such a strange thing that she didn't know? Monica pushed the thought aside as another particularly bad throb ripped through her head, or at least it felt that way.

There wasn't much conversation after that. Monica scoffed at his comment of cooperating. It wasn't like he'd made himself out to be someone trustworthy before. In fact, Monica still had reservations about even trusting him just a little. What were her options though?

Monica started as he grabbed her wrist, drawing her out of her thoughts. A quiet sound escaped her out of surprise as she was tugged against his side. The fact that she was covered in blood didn't seem to bother him at all, even as he kept her to his side. Monica wasn't sure that she wanted to know why that was.

A moment after and they were in the air. Monica blinked down at the ground, her arms around Raditz to better make sure he wasn't just going to let her fall. With the armor he wore it as hard to keep a good hold on him. Monica certainly hoped he wouldn't let her fall.

There wasn't much time to get her bearings back. By the time she'd began to glance around Raditz had shot off without warning. The movement caused her stomach to lurch and for Monica to jump, in one sense or another. It took a moment or two before she could get her bearings back but when she did Monica braved a peek down below. It was rather awe inspiring, and it helped to take her mind off of the fact that she was still covered in blood.

----[x]----
As expected his mother grew curious of Celia, especially when Trunks had spoken up on her behalf. Celia didn't seem inclined to share much about what she'd been doing before. Trunks had to wonder if there was a reason for that or not. Perhaps Celia just wasn't a talkative person.

He looked to Celia as his mother prodded for more information. It wasn't his place to answer, after all. Besides it wasn't something that Celia seemed to want to hide.

"I'll be going out later to look for her friend, see if she's nearby," he told his mother.

Trunks was glad that his mother was being so friendly to Celia. At times she had a temper though from what she'd told him once it had calmed over the years. Perhaps having him or maybe it was the threat on everyone on Earth that had tempered it.

Trunks chuckled, patting Celia's shoulder. "Hey, we all have to stick together around here anymore."

Besides there was plenty of room for everyone here. At least this way Trunks could have someone new to speak to. There were just some things he couldn't talk to his mother about. He wondered if it was the same for all kids or not. It wasn't like he had many others to compare to.

He turned back to his mother then. "Do we still have any food left?"

Despite his question, he never received an answer. It might have been her impatience or something more. Maybe she was hiding something? Despite himself, he grew curious of that matter. Most who had some form a memory loss where dazed and confused, after all. Aside from the minor confusion due to certain events, she was otherwise fine.

It was a thought he shoved into the back of his head. He would figure it out, one way or another. Raditz was a determined man, made things work the way he wished them to. Monica, however, seemed to be the same case, in and of herself.

"Great answer," he shot back. "You're really one to help me out here. Suppose I'll figure it out myself."

It was a bit of a challenge, if anything at all. Raditz was always up for them. Mental games were a tad tiring though. However long he could last this one out remained unseen. Regardless, he was a tad determined with this one.

That was all shoved aside in favor of finding a place for her to clean up. It wasn't as if he was a local to this planet. He merely had a job to do. He'd merely run into her first.

He snuck a peek at her, finding her glancing around herself. She was much braver then most would have been. The fear of heights was so common, it was ridiculous. She almost seemed to enough it. This wasn't as hard as most people thought.

"I could teach you to control that power." He brought up, turning his attention in front of him again. "Yours is uncontrolled. You would be able to do these things and much more."

If anything, the offer was there. If he had to, he would find a way to force her. That power, left as it was, could do more damage then she could ever come to know.

----[x]----
Celia found herself relaxing a little bit more. In the very least, both seemed more then welcoming. If she guessed, it was more then likely because of so few people around. In that sense, she couldn't blame them from wanting different company. It was hard to imagine being stuck here, like this, with so few people about.

She sparred a smile toward Trunks, thankful for the words and shelter. Really, she hadn't known the dangers and wouldn't have been able to help herself. She wasn't one who liked to fight.

In the very least, she could afford to hold out some hope that Monica was out there and alright. She'd hate to face it otherwise.

"That's right. So don't worry about it. Staying here will be best." Bulma added. Already, the older woman was getting to her feet, brushing of something or other that was staining her clothing. "I think we might have something. I'll whip something up here."

Celia sparred a slight nod as Bulma wondered somewhere else. It gave her some time to study the room.

"What is all of this stuff?" She inquired, glancing back toward Trunks.

She'd never seen anything like it, even in a world that was advancing so quickly. This was far beyond what anyone was building then. Just what kind of place was this and what technology did they hold? She found herself growing rather curious about it all, replacing some of her fear and caution.

Monica didn't put too much stock into his answer. It wasn't like she had any records around here, at least she shouldn't have any. She wasn't from a place where there was 'ki' or people that could fly because of it. Whatever this place was it wasn't the world she knew.

Instead of focusing on all of that she instead continued to look around as Raditz flew. The area was completely new to her, there was nothing like the plateaus in the area she'd previously lived in. Wherever she'd ended up it was far from what she'd called home.

Briefly Monica wished she'd pulled her hair back before, her bangs kept making it hard to be able to concentrate on the ground below. Every so often she could see larger creatures like that t-rex roaming around. What kind of place still had dinosaurs anyways?

She blinked, turning her attention back to Raditz. Whatever he had planned it wasn't obvious. In fact he wasn't even looking at her, instead keeping an eye ahead of them. Wherever he was taking them it didn't seem to be in the direct area.

"Is that right?" she said. Monica wasn't so sure about that offer and yet the appeal of being able to actually fly was one that had her attention. "And what has you so interested in teaching me?"

Really, he was bossy and bad-tempered, surely he didn't have much patience for other people to play the part of teacher. If Monica had to guess he seemed much more self-centered than to do something out of the kindness of his heart. What did he stand to gain from it?

----[x]----
Trunks was glad that his mother didn't argue going out to find Celia's friend later. The more people they had the better chance they might have at surviving, so long as the androids didn't find them. If Celia's friend could fight then they were better off as well. So far it was just Trunks that had any experience doing so.

He shook those thoughts away. It always seemed to be the same now, where worries would assail him no matter what was happening around him. Trunks figured it was just the way things were now.

"Are you sure? I could find something," but his mother had already started off to the other room. Trunks ran a hand through his hair, shrugging it off. His mother must have needed a break from working if she was so easily torn from it today.

Turning back to Celia he smiled, attempting to reassure her. It looked like she could use it. Any little bit might help or so Trunks figured.

"This would be my mother's work," he answered, gesturing around them. "She's always building something or other, had been since before I was even born!"

Celia was looking around, a look of fascination on her. Had she never seen anything like it? Trunks supposed with the world as it was that could very well be the case. Capsules and other such technology couldn't exactly be used freely anymore. A lot of it could bring attention to the users.

She was silent for a while. Whatever was on her mind or kept her as such was a mystery to him. It wasn't as if he was asking anyways. The woman was free to her thoughts. He wouldn't begrudge her something like that.

Her focused remained on the scenery. It was obvious she'd never seem anything from this height. He silently commended her for actually looking about. Most would have closed their eyes or tried to ignore it the best they could. There was no fun in that.

Her curosity mostly laid on the creatures. He wondered why that was. They were merely beasts, after all. Dull and large, all brute strength but nothing more. They were so fun toying with.

Eventually, her attention drifted back to him. A smirk tugged at his lips at that. An offer seemed to be all he needed to give. That surprised him. Still, he didn't let his guard down. Seeing how she acted earlier, he figured the girl was a clever one.

"Call it a favor." He answered. "Or maybe I'm just bored. No one else has had a power level such as yours escalate so quickly."

If anything, he was being straight forward about that much. True, she might not believe it but his intentions here were not to lie. She was an interesting Saiyan who knew nothing of her power or race. There was some form of entertainment in that.

----[x]----
Celia blinked, glancing at his expression. Worry was prominent on his features, a feeling she knew all too well. It was strange, seeing that expression on someone else's face. Given the situation, maybe he worried quite a bit. It would only be natural to.

Eventually, he snapped out of it. Whatever was on his mind was left a mystery. Celia wouldn't ask. If he wanted to tell her, in time he would. It wasn't good to bottle things like that up anyways. She knew that all too well.

Celia stepped into the room a little more fully. She felt the end of her tail twitch, an odd sensation. It just didn't seem natural, wasn't in fact. People didn't have these kinds of things at home. It was something she decided to fuss with later.

"Made all of this?" She responded, glancing back toward him. Something twitched at the top of her head. Those ears were reacting too? This was something she would need to get used to. "By herself? I've never seen anything like it. That's very impressive."

Celia wasn't sure of what they did or what purpose they served. Regardless, between she and her son, it was obvious she'd gotten a lot done. Celia wondered how long they'd been down here, if they had to move and how they did it. Questions that wouldn't receive answers for quite some time, she was sure.

"Do you make these things too?" She pressed further, wanting to know a little about what went on in these dwellings.

Monica took to studying what she could of Raditz as he answered. It was difficult, her bangs whipping around and in her face and the fact that he was turned to face forward as it was. She could wear he might be smirking but it was only a guess. The guy certainly was the type to.

Yet again she wasn't quite sure of his answer. It was blunt enough but it didn't tell her much of what he intended. The talk of power levels wasn't one she could say she was familiar with either. So on top of ki there were levels in power? Seemed make believe to her.

"Uh-huh," she said noncommittally, "we'll see."

Almost immediately after she began to look down again, studying everything that passed. No matter where she looked there wasn't anybody else wandering around down there. In a way it was both a relief and worrying. Where was Celia, was she safe in her bed? She pushed the worry aside in favor of observing everything else that passed by beneath.

She'd never had the opportunity to fly anywhere and now seeing everything from so high up for the first time was something Monica was finding she quite enjoyed. In a way it was better this way, the wind tugging at her hair and clothes, even if it was chillier up here.

"Where are we going?" she asked eventually, keeping her eyes below them. She kept her grip on him tight, as if not fully willing to trust his own around her.

----[x]----
Trunks nodded, a little amused at Celia's reaction. His mother was something of a genius when it came to things like this. He'd once been told that she'd been the daughter to those that had owned Capsule Corp, too. Trunks wondered how much better his life might have been if not for the androids sometimes.

"That's right, she's always building something new when we have the parts," he told Celia.

He chuckled, shaking his head. His hands found their way to his hips if only for lack of anything else to do with them for the moment. He'd gotten so used to helping his mother out that it was strange not to be doing so now. With Celia things might change a little in the coming days.

Trunks rubbed the back of his neck, shaking his head. "No, I just help out when she needs it. I don't have much mechanical knowledge for this stuff."

Usually he was just following whatever his mother told him to do. It was a simple process for him and it helped his mother along with what she had in mind. It killed the days where they were forced to remain down here for their own good, too.
