Mutation: Violetta can become ethereal, passing freely through tangible objects within the dimension and void between dimensions. To pass through an individual causes them to experience brief paralysis, hallucinations and prolonged content can result in hypothermia and eventual death. She can warp the void to become corporeal weaponry, preferring a gauntlet. The biggest side effects of her mutation are that her skin is permanently icy, easily numbing others. It is difficult communicating with her as she speaks backwards when ethereal.

Personality: At first glance and initial meeting, Violetta could be described as charming, witty and easily romanticized. In actuality Violetta has a very dark sense of humor, is very stubborn and calculated. Her cynical underlining and eccentric behavior is very off putting to those not familiar to it. However, those with a tough exterior or just pure fascination can dive past the oddities into the very ecstatic, eccentric and charismatic young woman.

Violetta is easily frustrated when she is unable to get her point across to others, something made more difficult by both her accent and bizarre thought process. She also tends to put others before herself, which leads to her taking inadequate care in her own affairs.

History:
Violetta was born to Creole/Latino parents living in France, they thought of her mutation as a curse for their ties to a long dead religion that focused on a ghastly and cruel God. Fearing for their lives, they sent Violetta back to Louisiana where she lived with an aging nana, who practiced the religion freely. She saw Violetta’s mutation as a gift from her God and loved her dearly.

After her nana passed away, Violetta became a sort of living idol to the zealots that followed the old religion. Miserable and alone, Violetta began lashing out, her mutation becoming more and more apparent. Eventually, Charles Xavier contacted her and offered her asylum within the Academy, which she accepted immediately.

Now she spends her time trying to control her mutation and give back to the man that changed her life.
