| Garret didn’t glance back to see what Ilana’s expression might be to his answer. She was quite the expressive sort, however. He’d come to find that out steadily over the days that had passed during their travel. It was easy to see she’d warmed up to him, perhaps seeing him as something akin to a friend. Garret could not be sure however.
He tipped his head up briefly in answer to her accusation. In truth, Ilana had a point. From what it sounded like she had hardly endured the hardships that would be normal for a frontiersman. In time she might learn, assuming nothing happened to make her run off from him. Garret still had no idea how she might take news of assassins and Templars and the war between them.
“Perhaps,” he admitted vaguely. Though she would not see it there was a smile tugging at his lips. “Though I’ve taught you a bit here and there, have I not?”
Eventually Ilana agreed to continue trusting him further. He’d done his best to teach her along the way, even if it was merely what plants were safe and which weren’t. Any little tidbit could be important in the long run.
Balthos snorted as they walked, perhaps growing antsy. It would not be any longer now. Up ahead Garret could glimpse the house Edwin had taken to residing in last he’d heard. With any luck he had not yet relocated. Though the man was paranoid with two people he might be easier to find before he tried to bolt. That was if Edwin did not mistake Garret for an enemy.
----[x]---- Kōga hadn’t taken long to tend to a fire in the evening light. Soon enough the blaze’s light washed over the area and he’d rejoined Sachiko. As soon as he’d made himself comfortable, leaning back against the tree again Sachiko had leaned against his shoulder once more. She’d be lying if she said it wasn’t comfortable like this, if a little strange. All the same Kōga didn’t seem to mind her dozing off against him.
“Mmhmm,” she agreed sleepily. “This is fine.”
Briefly she wondered where Ginta and Hakkaku had gotten off to. Maybe they were having a bit of trouble out there, finding something to hunt down and skin. Sachiko hoped that wasn’t the case and that they’d be back soon.
Sachiko hummed as Kōga spoke up again, glancing up at him. It took a moment to realize what he’d said though when she did Sachiko offered a shrug. She was a scrawny woman; it was only natural that she’d have a hard time retaining heat. Even chilly weather could leave her colder than the average person.
“Maybe, but you’re pretty warm too,” she murmured.
If she were more awake this might have been more awkward for her, unused to even the idea of being in a relationship. At the moment she was content where she was. If Ginta and Hakkaku took much longer Sachiko might very well fall asleep against Kōga as it was. Something told her that Kōga wouldn’t mind that too much, not after his sudden kiss from earlier. In fact, he seemed quite affectionate, which was kind of surprising for Sachiko to find out about. | |

| Ilana glanced around, wondering if it would start to rain. She didn't hear any pitter patter of rain just yet. For that, she thanked whatever lucky stars might be watching over them.
Garret didn't respond right away. He merely tipped his head though, never faced her. She liked to think he might take some amusement out of what she said or how she acted. Sometimes it was a little forward however.
What he did finally say was true however. The things that he'd taught her were simple but they were important. Something as simple as being able to identify plants was more than enough.
"That's true," she agreed, "Saved me enough from dealing with the wrong kind of plants or berries. Still can't bring myself to gut a fish though..."
Ilana's stomach couldn't handle the smell much less the task itself. That was an aspect of fishing that she had never gotten a handle over.
She lifted her head, glancing at the cabin coming into sight. It was far out of sight of any person. Why someone wanted to live all the way out here, she could only assume.
"Is this it?" she asked Garret, silently hoping they weren't passing this place up for something further. ----| |x| |---- Kōga was a little comfortable with her by his side. It was an odd feeling but not one he didn't like. At some point, he'd wished it was Kagome. Now that things had changed, he felt oddly happy.
She was exhausted. Just the sound of her voice told him that much. They did drag her around just to have her turn back. She had no real break in between it all. In that sense, he felt a little bad about it all.
Her mumbling were brief ones but enough to make his cheeks warm a little. At least he was doing something right, even if it was just allowing her to lean against him.
"If you're tired, just sleep," he urged a little, "We dragged you around enough. I'm sure you're tired."
He kept an eye out for Hakakku and Ginta. They wouldn't be too long at this rate. Tracking something down to eat would only take so long. Between them, they should be able to handle whatever they found.
"If you want, I can wake you up when they get back. So you can eat a little too," he suggested.
Who knew if he could manage that though. There were times he couldn't rouse Sachiko from a deep slumber. Those early mornings, he just left her be until she was up and ready to move. | |

| Garret’s smile remained hidden even as Ilana mentioned a few of the things he’d taught her already through the week. She was a studious person, taking in what was said thoughtfully. It made it easy to tell when she might not understand why something was, at least.
“Hopefully you will not have to be under circumstances where you are alone, however,” he noted. He’d merely taught her those things just in case, after all. One could never be too careful.
That topic was left alone when they came upon the cabin. Garret had slowed his walk, turning to survey it for life through the few windows he could see. There wasn’t any telltale candlelight with how early it was nor was it cold enough to warrant the use of a fireplace this early in the day. Garret shook his head, turning to Ilana as she asked about the place.
“If he has not moved then Edwin should be here, yes,” Garret answered.
Only when he was sure that Balthos would not try to wander off did he move to his side, hold out a hand for Ilana to take. The blisters on her feet might have been healing nicely and fewer had appeared over the days, but if she felt better with some help off of the horse then he would provide it. Next they had the opportunity Garret would take her to find a sturdier pair of boots for travel, ones that would not leave her so blistered.
----[x]---- Sachiko found herself dozing off quickly though she did her best to stay awake. Food in her belly would be a good thing, especially so before she slept. Still, she wasn’t sure if she could manage that at this rate, finding herself quite comfortable against Kōga’s side. He was enough to combat the chilly evening air that had fallen over them.
She opened her eyes, glancing up at Kōga when he spoke up about her getting some sleep. It wasn’t exactly something that was subtle; she was already dozing off and on against him as it was. Though she would have preferred an actual bed with some blankets to cocoon herself up in Sachiko didn’t bother to complain about it. What was the point when there was none of that here?
“I’ll be fine,” she answered with a smile, one she hoped was reassuring. Considering how drowsy she was it was probably more tired than reassuring. All the same she settled against him again, eyes closing quickly after.
It seemed like only seconds before Kōga was offering to wake her up when Hakkaku and Ginta returned. Even so, Sachiko could only a utter a noncommittal hum in answer. Sleep would soon overtake her entirely, the chilly evening air forgotten about as well as what strange things had happened since arriving in this place. | |

| The topic died down a little now that they were closer to the cabin. Ilana had a bit of silent relief on that matter. It was chilly out here. The threat of rain still loomed and she'd rather not deal with it now.
Balthos soon drew to a halt. Ilana took a long look at the cabin, trying to catch any movement inside. Everything seemed still from what she could see. Maybe this Edwin had moved on.
Garret moved to her side, offering a hand to help her down. Ilana gladly took the offered hand, sliding off the saddle. Her feet still smarted in certain areas. Riding Balthos all the way here had helped but some areas were still tender.
"Edwin's a solitary guy, huh?" she inquired. From what little she'd heard of him, the most she could make out of this person was that he rather liked his time on his own.
Garret tied Balthos down for the time being. They probably wouldn't be moving on for a while. That was her hope, at least.
He approached the cabin and Ilana followed behind. She wasn't entirely sure of what kind of person Edwin was. He might have only been expecting Garret. Another guest would no doubt startle him. She'd rather avoid any trouble if she could.----| |x| |---- Sachiko seemed pretty sure about staying awake. He wouldn't begrudge her that if she could manage it. Who knew though. If she slipped off into a light doze, at least he'd be able to rouse her later.
At some point however, her breath slowed. She'd drifted off without any more prodding on the matter. Kōga hummed a bit at that. At least she was getting some of the rest she needed.
Ginta and Hakkaku returned shortly after. Both gave knowing looks though didn't comment on the situation. Kōga knew eventually they would however. He waved it off for the time being.
The pair of them tended on what they had caught. It was enough for the four of them until supplies were gathered again. No one had expected Sachiko to be traveling with them at this point.
Time passed by slowly, the evening turning to night. The crackle of the fire was something of a comfort. When the scent of meat cooking filled the air, Kōga tried to shake Sachiko from her sleep. He wasn't sure it would be enough to get her up and moving however. She'd looked exhausted. | |

| Ilana’s hand was smaller than his own, less rough as well. The brief contact was warm though once she was properly on her feet Garret did not linger before letting his hand fall back to his side. They had to find out if Edwin still remained here or not. If he was out and about they would at least be able to poke about and find clues to his choice of staying or going.
“Something like that, yes,” Garret answered.
He strode towards the steps after making sure Balthos was tied to the fence post nearby. The fence itself was broken but it would at least keep Balthos from wandering away. Besides, if Edwin saw Balthos here then he’d know who had come.
Their footsteps sounded loud against the wooden steps into the house. Garret opened the doorway carefully, unsure if Edwin was even hiding about or not. For all he knew Edwin might have heard or seen them coming and was wary of Templars having caught on to him again. Garret resisted a shake of his head at the idea that Edwin might have fled already.
“Edwin, you’d best not have moved on lest I’ll have your head,” Garret called out..
Whether Ilana was able to tell that he wasn’t very serious about the threat, he didn’t know. For the most part just tracking down Edwin was a frustration and one Garret tried to avoid when he could. Shaking that thought aside, Garret turned to Ilana, gesturing for her to come inside further as well. If it were to rain at least they would be able to remain here until it passed. The last thing that they needed was for Ilana to catch cold.
“If he is here he’ll find me once he sees Balthos out there.”
----[x]---- Sachiko had no idea how long she dozed for before someone started attempting to rouse her. It was a slow process, waking back up. Rather reluctantly she forced her eyes open, frowning around at herself while she reached up to rub the sleep from her eyes. It took a few seconds longer to realize Ginta and Hakkaku had gotten back, seated around the fire and tending to something cooking over it.
”It’ll be done soon, if Sis can stay awake long enough,” Hakkaku spoke up.
“Huh?” she said before yawning. It took a minute more to realize that it was Kōga who had been trying to wake her, still seated at her side, presumably resting back against the tree the whole time. “How long…?”
”I dunno, you’d have to ask Kōga how long you’ve been sleeping,” Hakkaku answered. If Sachiko glanced his way she would have noticed what looked like a rather cheeky grin on his face. Instead she’d merely grunted and stifled another yawn.
She sat up a little more, letting her hand fall to her lap. The smell of the cooking meat was strong in the air, noticeable more so now that she was slowly waking up than a second or two ago. Her stomach growled in response to the smell, eager for food. From the looks of it though the food wasn’t done. Whatever they’d hunted down had been large enough to feed four though, judging by the size of the chunks of meat speared over the fire. | |

| She let her hand fall back to her side, trying to ignore how cold it had felt. Ignoring the rest of the cold around her was another feat in and of itself. Ilana wrote it off, sparing a glance around the area. Edwin seemed more than content on staying out here, far from other people.
Garret's words rung out only briefly. She lingered a little behind as he strode up to the cabin. He pushed the door open, calling out for the man. While his tone was dry, Ilana thought little of that threat. Tracking down this man must have been frustrating however.
There was nothing but silence as Garret waited. In a short time, he motioned her for the follow in. She didn't mind that offer at all. The chill in the air worked through her bones as it was.
"Thanks," she said as she walked in, "So he might be out and about then?"
There didn't seem to be much of a hint of someone living here. Then again, Ilana wasn't sure of how people lived out here either. She imagined they'd have to hunt just to get by. For all she knew, this Edwin was doing just that.
"I hope he didn't move on," she brought up, looking around. She'd rather not poke around, especially in someone's home that was known to be overly paranoid.----| |x| |---- Kōga had finally managed to rouse Sachiko. She blinked around, looking as if she was lost to the world. He grinned rather widely though didn't say anything about it. Kōga sat up a little bit, allowing her a bit of room to look around.
"It was a while," he replied after Hakkaku, "A half hour or so. I didn't really keep track."
It hadn't taken either of them long to start calling Sachiko 'sis'. They had called Kagome that too, when Kōga spent most of his time trailing after her. Both would no doubt pick up on the moods now that Sachiko was traveling with them further."Well, at least you got some rest," Ginta pointed out, "You still look pretty tired though. Hope you can stay up to eat, Sis."Kōga nodded. Reaching out, he patted her back a little before rubbing it. At least she was waking up now. When she'd eaten, she could curl up and sleep again. A little food would do her some good and help her stay asleep.
"It shouldn't be too long now," he said, sparing her a smile, "Then you can get your fill of sleep too." | |

| Garret had moved towards the nearby fireplace, taking a knee as he inspected the remains of a fire. The logs were half burned though they looked like they’d been placed recently. Garret poked at it, reaching towards the nearby pile of firewood to add a log before tending to it properly. While they waited they could get warmer.
“From the looks of it,” he answered, as he worked to tend the embers. At least this way Ilana might be better off while they waited. The chilly, overcast weather wasn’t doing many favors for her after all. “This fire has been tended to recently. I don’t imagine he’d run off yet.”
Glancing over is shoulder at her, it was easy to tell that she was uncertain as to what to do with herself. She remained in one spot in the center of the room, glancing around at everything. A few pieces of furniture littered the room, some candles that had been burned for long nights scattered over the table. If Edwin had any work around he he’d hid his documents well.
“There is no need to be so awkward, this fire will give Edwin pause enough until Balthos is in his sight.” This explanation was a simple one and yet it was true enough. Garret had visited the other man enough that the horse was well acquainted with Edwin as well.
The kindling that had remained, prepares prepared for when Edwin returned, had caught fire well enough. Garret still kept an eye on the embers, hoping they would not die out before catching a log or two on fire as well. Restarting the fire entirely was never a fun process, especially when it was nippy out like today.
----[x]---- A half an hour? Sachiko didn’t think it had been that short of a time, but maybe that was just because she felt drowsy, prepared to get more sleep the moment she could. Maybe after she ate she’d go back to sleep, if the three didn’t need her up for something else.
She hummed in answer to Ginta. Words failed her at the moment, still waking up more fully. At least the smell of cooked meat was making her recall just how hungry she’d been. That alone would be enough to keep her up long enough to eat something. Still, Ginta seemed worried she’d fall back asleep in just a few minutes.
Kōga’s hand at her back drew her attention to him. Blinking at him, it took a minute to respond, sparing a tired smile in return. His hand was warm on her back, a rather comforting weight to it too.
“I think I’ll be fine, for now,” Sachiko admitted.
There was a moment that followed in which Hakkaku and Ginta looked rather proud about something. Sachiko didn’t bother to think about it too much. All she wanted was something to eat and then to go back to sleep if she could manage it. Everything else could be worried about later.
”It shouldn’t be too much longer anyways,” Hakkaku pointed out. | |

| Garret was further in the home, checking on the fireplace. She hoped they could get that up and going. It was a little chilly in the cabin though, not overly so. Being in here was far better than outside. Her gaze still wandered even as Garret spoke up.
"Well, that's a relief," she finally answered, her gaze falling on him once more, "At least all this traveling wasn't for nothing."
A good week or so had passed. Ilana didn't pretend she had counted. Now that she wasn't waking to a job every morning, she'd lost track of the days.
Ilana moved a little closer to the fireplace. He was trying to get the fire to catch on some dry wood. That would warm the cabin up nicely or at least, she assumed. She never knew too many with fireplaces in their homes.
She shook it from her thoughts before she pulled out a chair and sat down. The thing was a little rickety. Ilana didn't complain. After spending most nights sitting on a log or the ground, she was more than happy for an old chair.
"So...you wanna tell me why you had to come all the way out here to see this guy?" she finally asked.
It was a topic that she'd more or less bring up and drop several times around. She might not even get an answer this time around either. Ilana figured it wouldn't hurt to ask again.----| |x| |---- Kōga ignored the proud looks of his friends. He'd seen them before. In time, Sachiko would get the joke and learn to ignore them as well. That was if she didn't take to teasing herself.
The smile she sent his way made his heart flutter a little. Kōga tried not to let that feeling work it's way through him. It had, regardless of any attempts and he rubbed his neck feeling a little awkward. A chuckle left him afterward.
"If you're sure," he answered her.
He could see the two out of the corner of his eye, shooting him knowing looks. He waved it off, instead rising to his feet to check on the meal. It did smell good. Kōga would have to make sure no demon or other animal as prowling about, catching wind of their meal."We'll have to be careful," Ginta pointed out, "Hopefully nothing catches wind of the blood."Regardless of those brief worries, Kōga kept an eye on the fire. With heightened senses, he'd hear something moving around before he'd actually see it. They were safe for the time being.
"Don't worry so much. Focus on getting ready to eat or something," he scolded his friends playfully, "We've all done enough work today. No sense in spending what time we have relaxing on worrying." | |

| He could hear Ilana walking around every so often though never very far in any direction. The wood creaked against her weight slightly, a far cry from the way they had under Garret. He shook the observation away quickly enough. The sooner he got a fire flared to life the better, at least this way Edwin would not assume they were enemies on sight. No enemy after him would be foolish enough to light up the fireplace and provide an early warning to Edwin.
It took a bit of time and great care to light the logs finally. What little kindling remained was rather light and would only be good for an attempt or two. Eventually Garret did manage to get the embers to glow, quickly catching the kindling aflame. With any luck the logs would soon burn as well.
“Hmm?” Garret wondered, picking up the fire poker. He would keep stoking the fire until it was sufficient enough on its own. “Because there is news for him to hear of.”
It was the same roundabout answer he’d given once or twice. Ilana seemed hell-bent on getting a more detailed answer, asking time and again, but Garret was a tightlipped fellow. Merely pestering him for answers would not make him inclined to give them. Whether or not Ilana was coming to realize that or not was the question, however. For all he knew she was always just this bluntly stubborn.
A shake of the head followed this thought. Placing the fire poker down for a time, he instead reached into his coat pocket, fishing for the cigarettes he’d rolled just the last night or so. It’d been a few hours since he’d smoked one, having his hands full with leading Balthos properly. The horse had been particularly stubborn for a time, wanting to wander off to presumably munch on nearby grass. Once he’d found his container, he tugged one out, quickly lighting it with the embers the kindling had provided. It was a simple thing to achieve, if a little uncomfortable and once he sat back up he noticed the way that Ilana had wrinkled her nose.
A chuckle escaped him then. “Still against a good smoke, eh?” he prodded, gesturing for Ilana to just kick back and take a seat nearby. He’d remain near the fire, just to make sure the embers flared to life when needed, to catch the logs aflame in time.
----[x]---- Sachiko ducked her head, swiping at her eyes again to try to wake up quicker as Ginta spoke up. Kōga was already up and checking the food speared over the fire. It looked done to her but she couldn’t be sure without double-checking. Better safe than sorry, really.
”Hopefully it won’t find us either way, we skinned it away from camp, after all,” Hakkaku pointed out.
This was clearly something they’d had to contend with sometime in the past if they had precautions against it. Sachiko was glad for that, it was less to worry about even if they did keep an eye and ear out in case some animal or demon came near the camp from the smell of cooked meat.
She scooted closer to the fire’s edge, chillier now that Kōga had moved. At the very least that chilliness helped to wake her up more fully. “We’ll be fine,” she argued simply. She had to stifle another yawn again quickly after.
If anything she could try to tap into that strange power in her, recalling the shrunken demon from before. For a brief moment, Sachiko wondered if that demon had ever returned to his original size or not. For all she knew he might still be out there, running around smaller than most people’s knees. The thought was a little comforting when the burns he’d inflicted on Kōga were taken into account. | |

| Once more, Garret's answer was unclear. She puffed out of her cheeks in annoyance. What was all about this secrecy anyways? She hoped to get some kind of answer out of him by this point. She didn't want to have eavesdrop just to satisfy her curiosity.
She put it to the side for the time being. If she got answers on the matter, she would. For now, she'd just have to remain a little more patient.
Garret was already say down after fanning the fire back to life. Near it felt a little warmer, something she could appreciate. Ilana hadn't really felt warm since they started this trip, especially at night.
Her thoughts were broken when he tugged out a cigarette. She tried to ignore her displeasure but given Garret was pointing it out, she hadn't done it well.
"It'll kill you," she finally said, taking the seat he had motioned to, "So we'll be here for a while, huh?"
It was only a guess. At this point, she wasn't even sure if she'd continue tagging along with Garret. The thought worried her a little bit. Whatever he was involved with, being as secretive as he was, the thought had wormed it's way into her head quite a bit.----| |x| |---- Kōga nodded in response. At least the two of them took precautions. He would have expected as such, especially with someone still rather inexperienced with them. Kōga appreciated that they had done that much.
"Good to know. At least we won't be dealing with any surprises tonight," he replied.
Sachiko moved closer to the fires edge. For a moment, she was merely silent. A confident answer finally came through however. Kōga blinked before he chuckled a little.
"At least one of us is confident, right?" he jested lightly."Jeez sis. You might not want to say that. Some of those demons out there are pretty dangerous," Ginta argued simply.
Kōga waved him off simply. Whatever came about, if they did, Kōga wouldn't worry about it. He could handle some demons. With Sachiko's strange ability as well, she might be able to protect herself just fine. He could only imagine what it would be like when she could willingly tap into that power.
"Like Sachiko said, we'll be fine," he replied, "I can handle it and if Sachiko can shrink a giant demon boar, I'm sure things will be okay." | |

| Whatever irritation she might have felt about the lack of a concise answer was replaced by the fact that he’d pulled out a smoke. He chuckled at her answer. It was blunt, as usual.
“Ah, yet it hasn’t yet,” he countered easily, cigarette bouncing with each word he said. He’d become so used to this that he barely noticed it anymore. “It seems that way, yes.”
At the very least they had a fire to sit around without fear of rain putting it out. With that overcast sky out there he’d be surprised if so much as another hour passed before the rain began. If that were the case then Edwin would probably return soon after, assuming he was still away then.
Garret gave a slow exhale away from Ilana, the smoke disappearing into the air as quickly as he’d done so. Early on he’d learned that Ilana did not so much as even like the smoke that drifted from the cigarette. He’d rather not annoy her with something she was clearly disgusted by. As such he’d taken to keeping the cigarette away from her when it was lit as well, holding it a little awkwardly in his non-dominant hand.
“Come now, a bit of waiting hasn’t hurt us yet,” Garret teased with a nod of his head. At the very least she could rest again, off her feet, without the worry of Balthos being stubborn again.
----[x]---- Kōga seemed rather pleased despite Ginta and Hakkaku’s worries. Sachiko wasn’t sure if that was his usual confidence speaking or if he was still rather happy from earlier. The thought was pushed away quickly after that, still a little unsure of how she felt about admitting to it in front of Hakkaku and Ginta. It wasn’t like she was the type of person who usually pursued a relationship after all.
Sachiko shook her head at Ginta’s wary comment but Kōga beat her to answering him. He didn’t seem deterred at all by that concern, despite the fact that the boar demon had managed to burn him badly. She didn’t bother bringing that up though.
“Not that I really know how I did that or anything…” Sachiko pointed out instead.
Ginta and Hakkaku looked more uncertain about things after that. At least, they did at first. Hakkaku soon grew thoughtful, his brow furrowing deeply. Sachiko blinked, wondering what was on his mind now. The two weren’t very broody people, pointing out what they thought when they thought it, this sometimes was followed by cringing in preparation from Kōga’s reaction though.
”Could that have something to do with how you got here though?” Hakkaku wondered out loud.
The thought, when said aloud, made some sense. It wasn’t like Sachiko knew how she’d gotten in this time period. To be truthful, she didn’t want to recall that night no matter what. The wet sounds of something being eaten and the weak whimpers she’d heard—
Sachiko lifted her head—just now aware that her gaze had drifted towards the ground in that time—and said, “Can’t say if that’s true or not…” | |

| Ilana waved his words off easily. She'd rather not go into what cancer was and the like. Garret indulged every now and again. He at least respected that she didn't care fr the smell of smoke. It irritated her nose too much.
She watched him briefly as he spoke, trying to quash whatever part of her found the way he looked as he smoked attractive. She'd been found herself thinking that quite a bit lately.
Garret's answer was simple enough. Ilana glanced outside, looking for rain to fall. It hadn't started yet but with how overcast it was, she knew it would. She was glad to at least be indoors. She couldn't stand the chill outside.
"At least we got here before it started raining," she replied.
She didn't like to admit it but she was tired. This was the first time they had settled down in days. For once, she felt a little more than effected by it.
"Well I can't protest about a little rest," she agreed, "Especially if a roof is actually over our head."
The weeks in the woods wore on her. She wouldn't mind a hot bath and a bed. Of course, she knew those things could be difficult to get to here. ----| |x| |---- Kōga nodded his head a little in agreement. He knew that she wasn't sure how she had controlled that power just yet. When she could, no doubt it would be something amazing later on down the road.
"We'll figure it out later on down the road," he said, "It's just finding where to start first."
That would be the difficult part. Whatever power she had, they would need to discover who knew about it. From there, only then could she learn how to control it a little better.
What Hakkaku suggested though, he had never considered. Maybe that was the reason. He couldn't quite say in the end of things. For all they knew, it was entirely possible."It's hard to say," Ginta replied, "I wouldn't worry too much about it, sis."It was easy to see that she felt uncomfortable with the thoughts at hand. He didn't want her to worry too much about it either. He nodded in agreement with Ginta before he spoke again, "Let's focus on something a little lighter. Like something to eat." | |

| It wasn’t so surprising that Ilana felt the same way he did about beating the rain here. With any luck Edwin would be back soon, before it began to fall. The man wasn’t all that fond of drizzles, after all. If Garret could help it then he’d rather deal with Edwin when he wasn’t agitated by something so mundane.
He shook the thought away for now. The least they could do was keep the fire going and pass the time with a bit of talk. Ilana was quite the curious one, after all, always asking questions about him and the world, as he knew it. More and more he found she was curiously wary of a great many things, however.
“We can wait out the rain here for the time being,” he agreed. Going out to seek Edwin out might make the man more paranoid after all. Garret would rather not have to play an unnecessary game of cat and mouse if he could help it.
He rolled his shoulders then, leaning back a little. The fire was beginning to grow, licking at the logs. With any luck they would not fall and put out the embers below them before he could prod them back to life again.
“If you need to rest than do so while we can,” Garret agreed. “There is no telling what might happen, after all.”
He paused to take a drag on his cigarette, exhaling the smoke slowly. It left a pleasant burning in his throat, one that had once made him cough was no only a minor itch that was quickly soothed.
----[x]---- It wasn’t too surprising that Ginta tried to change the subject though Kōga agreeing to it was a little surprising. He was often so forward and blunt that he came across as a little insensitive sometimes. Glancing around at the trio, it was clear to see that Hakkaku felt a little sheepish for brining it up, rubbing at the back of his neck like he was.
”Yeah, there’s plenty of time to worry about it later anyways, sis!” Hakkaku pointed out. Sachiko wasn’t sure if she imagined the feeling of an unsaid ”when you’re ready” at the end of it or not though.
Sachiko glanced between the three, the weight that had settled over her shoulders in just a few minutes lifting. After so many weeks of just rushing after this Kagome and her friends without much concern about anything else it was a nice change of pace. It was still hard having to get used to this rugged lifestyle, having to depend on the three around her more often than not but at least she wasn’t alone. That thought warmed Sachiko and she spared a small smile and a nod.
“Yeah,” she agreed simply.
Hakkaku shifted closer to the fire then, eyeing the meat that was speared over the fire. They looked done on the outside but it was impossible to tell if the inside was still pink or not. By the frown that tugged at Hakkaku’s lips it must not have been done yet.
”Looks like we still got a while until we can eat though,” he said. | |

| Ilana blinked, lifting her head a little. Garret remained by the fire, keeping an eye on it. That was a habit that he had taken to often. Ilana often watched as he built fires out in camp. She tried to learn a little at a time, understand why he was so keen on keeping an eye on these things.
"I don't suppose looking for your friend would be a good idea," she wondered out loud, "You've told me about his paranoia."
She just hoped that her being here wouldn't alarm him at all. The last thing she wanted to do was cause any worry or discomfort. Garret had assured her that there would be no need to worry. She hoped that would continue to be the case.
He spoke up once again, informing her to rest if she needed it now. If she could find a room within the cabin, she might nap for a while. That would pass the time and she did want to sleep in a bed for once. A week and a half on the cold ground left her wishing for her old creature comforts.
"I'll do that," she told him, "Just a little nap. Wake me up when you need me."
With that said, she rose to her feet to find a room with a bed. She hoped she wasn't invading too much privacy. Ilana was tired. If someone was offended later on, she would apologize about it then.----| |x| |---- Sachiko didn't respond to what had been said. The conversation was brushed off for the time being. He'd rather her focus on better things. When they found someone who could help her with her powers, they would worry about it then.
If she seemed disappointed, he didn't catch it right away. She simply agreed with all of them. Kōga glanced at her, noting her expression. Something of a concerned expression overtook her features.
Kōga hummed briefly as Hakkaku spoke up. The meat smelled good but it would take a bit of time before it was finished. He wondered if Sachiko could stay up much later for the meal. Seeing how hungry she had been, he doubted she'd sleep through the smell.
"Hey, hey," Kōga finally called out, "Why the glum look all of a sudden?"
As if prompted by this, Ginta also glanced at Sachiko. Maybe she felt out of place here. Knowing that, Ginta and Hakkaku probably wouldn't allow that. Both had become rather fond of Sachiko in a whole."Are you alright, sis?" Ginta asked, crouching down a little nearby. He started at the human woman, waiting patiently for a response. | |

| Ilana was quiet for a few minutes before wondering if Garret should be out looking for Edwin or not. It was a simple suggestion but one that would probably only drive the man off. Garret wasn’t particularly fond of the idea of trekking out and getting caught in the rain either. While yelling for the man to come out might be a good idea it was still no guarantee that Edwin would listen.
No, it was best to let him come when the man was sure things were relatively safe for his wellbeing.
“He’ll find his way back on his own,” Garret answered finally. “There’s no need to go stomping through the woods much longer today.”
If nothing else, he didn’t want to leave Ilana here on her own either. If someone else came tromping through looking for Edwin and found her instead… The blue in her hair was still prominent, after all. Besides, she needed to keep off her feet while the newest blisters healed anyways.
When he offered that she take the chance to rest Ilana deliberated on it for a moment or two. It was with some amount of relief to Garret that she agreed to this plan. She looked as if she needed it, no doubt unaccustomed to sleeping on anything other than a bed.
“I will be sure to.” With that simple promise Ilana disappeared into a side room, perhaps seeking the nearest mattress to occupy, this left Garret to his thoughts, keeping himself warm by the growing fire.
----[x]---- In the quiet that followed Sachiko listened to the crackling fire and the nighttime animals in the distance. It did little to quell her thoughts, however. While she liked being around the three wolf demons Sachiko couldn’t help but to think about what she’d be doing at this time if what had happened hadn’t.
A warm bed, cuddled up in her blankets and a video game console turned on—these were things she no longer had. Kōga had his little troupe traveled and didn’t really seem to occupy any one place, or if they did they’d yet to stop at it and show Sachiko. Even something as simple as a matt to lie on for a bed would have bee appreciated though Sachiko tried not to complain about it.
She had chosen to remain here instead of trying to find a way back to the present. In a way, she couldn’t handle going back to her own time after what had happened.
“Ah?”
Sachiko jerked out of her thoughts at Kōga’s sudden statement. It wasn’t a second later did Ginta join in and though she didn’t look his way, Sachiko could swear she felt Hakkaku’s gaze on her too.
“Y-yeah, I’m okay,” she answered after a moment, still a little bewildered by the sudden focus on her. “Really.” | |

| Ilana found the first room with a mattress and collapsed on it. The bed might have not been the most comfortable thing she had ever slept in, but it was enough for her. After sleeping on the cold ground for so long, she'd even take the floor at this rate.
She tugged the quilt over top her, snuggling into the warmth. The scents were unfamiliar but she tried not to think about it. Instead, she drifted off as soon as she'd closed her eyes.
She wasn't sure how long she had slept. When she did rouse from her sleep, she could hear the patter of rain hitting the rooftop. For a long while, she lay there, unwilling to move from the warmth surrounding her.
Ilana closed her eyes again, dozing lightly. She wondered if Garret's friend had made it back yet, if they were simply being quiet. He hadn't come to the door. Maybe the man hadn't returned.
Eventually, she rose to her feet, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Pushing her hair back, she wandered to the door way. She peeked out, waiting quietly. She finally walked down the hall, hoping to find that Garret and his friend were alright.----| |x| |---- Kōga watched her expression change as she was pulled out of her thoughts. She had had such a long face, he had to wonder if she had been focusing on her other life again. The country she came from was truly different. He was well aware of that simply being around Kagome.
Once again, she denied anything being wrong. He didn't want to pry, in fear of agitating her. Kōga had learned better since their travels. Some things she seemed to deal with best on her own.
"Alright, if you're sure," he said to her, "but if you need anything, all you have to do is ask."
They were all there to listen if she needed to vent. It didn't seem like a lot but sometimes, it did wonders. He was a little inexperienced with women as it was. That was something he picked up along the way."That's right," Ginta agreed, "We'll help you out if you ever need it, sis!"Kōga offered a slight chuckle in response. Between all of them, Sachiko would have a lot to lean on when she needed it. She merely needed to take the chance.
"These guys will be persistent, you know," he teased lightly, "If you keep looking so glum, I mean."

| Time passed slowly for Garret after Ilana had left the room. This did not bother him too much, if anything it left him with time to think things over. He had no idea how Ilana would react to assassins and Templars and no doubt Edwin would wish to present the idea to her. Garret would be lying if he said he did not want to as well.
Someone with future knowledge would be a great ally to have, after all.
Eventually Edwin had come, looking sour and a little damp. It must have started drizzling at some point while Garret had been lost in thought. All the same Edwin seemed otherwise fine and cooperative, no doubt having gone about the perimeter after seeing firelight in the window and Balthos tethered outside.
They talked for awhile, mostly about the situation with Ilana once Garret explained things. They kept their voices hushed, unwilling to rouse the woman and cause her to stumble in during the conversation. There was still some tact that was required in bringing the topic of assassins and Templars to her after all.
They were no sooner to knowing how to bring up the topic than they heard footsteps. They dragged a little, alerting them to Ilana entering the room, looking a little drowsy still.
It was Edwin who was first to speak. “So, this is your little companion, Garret?”
----[x]---- It was startling and a little overwhelming to have these three so eager to jump at the chance of asking what was wrong. So used to a family that was rather accustomed to leaving each other to sort their own problems out more times than not, the change was bewildering. Sachiko didn’t see a need to mention that however.
”You’re part of the tribe now, sis, and we take care of our own,” Hakkaku added, nodding as he did so.
Sachiko ducked her head, tucking her hair behind her ear though it did little to keep her bangs in place. In truth, she wasn’t sure what to say. She’d never really been open like this with people. It was just how her family had been.
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Sachiko answered, offering a small smile.
Really, if the worst she had to worry about from Hakkaku and Ginta were that they would be persistent then they’d be all right. They had big hearts and it was clear that they cared about their friends. It was nice to see, honestly.
She lifted her head finally, glancing towards Kōga a little coyly. “Though you haven’t really said much.” | |

| She blinked, noting the other man nearby. Immediately, she guessed this man was Edwin. He didn't say too much, simply commented on being Garret's companion. They must have been talking in hushed voices, trying not to wake her.
She rubbed her arm, trying to ignore a little chill that worked up her spine. It was considerably warmer but she much rather be underneath the quilt once again. Ilana ignored it, instead favoring speaking;
"Yea. Sorry if I...intruded or anything. I was pretty tired."
If Edwin had been bothered by it, he hadn't said anything. Ilana was partly grateful for that. He didn't look like an unfriendly man but she was no less awkward. She was never confident in a strangers home.
"Soooo...did I interrupt?" she asked, glancing between the two. They had gone notably silent when she appeared.----| |x| |---- Kōga spared a smile as Hakkaku commented as well. The both of them had big hearts and would always make sure Sachiko was comfortable. Notably, she seemed kind of awkward about that however. She didn't speak a lot of her country or her family. Kōga wondered if it stemmed from that.
She dipped her head, commenting on it rather awkwardly again. Maybe in time, she would explain that awkwardness. Who knew. For all he knew, she wanted that kind of thing buried.
He blinked when she commented on his silence. In truth, he had been thinking about her. He cleared his throat awkwardly, looking elsewhere. He felt his cheeks warming though, he tried not to let it show.
"You already know what I think," he replied. He rubbed the back of his neck a little, "But if you ever need me, just tell me."
Nearby, he could swear Ginta snickered a little. Kōga tried not to let his face burn in response. It wasn't like him to blush or show this kind of emotion. Hakkaku and Ginta had seen it more often than he liked to admit."We'll take care of you sis. Kōga especially," Ginta added, almost in a teasing manner. Kōga huffed a little in response to that.

| Ilana still looked a little tired though better rested. That was a bit of a relief on Garret’s shoulders; it was more than obvious that she had trouble sleeping out in the wild. He had little doubts that it was because of the way that she was unaccustomed to travels such as these.
“We have discussed much already,” Garret assured her. Really, most of their more important topics had already been spoken about in hushed voices while she’d slept.
Edwin shook his head following Ilana’s next comment. If he felt she had invaded any sort of privacy he had in this cabin or not he didn’t show it. Perhaps he had no attachment to this place, using it only as a temporary home. It was entirely likely at least.
”There was little left to interrupt,” Edwin admitted. He offered a shrug afterwards.
It was silent but for the crackling fire, one that blazed more strongly than earlier. In the time he’d waited he’d managed to coax a proper fire into life before Edwin’s arrival. It warmed the room nicely and kept a more comfortable atmosphere around.
“I take it that you rested well?” Garret wondered, nodding towards her. It might be best to make sure she was well off before any serious topics arose again. He couldn’t avoid telling her about assassins and Templars forever.
----[x]---- Sachiko expected Kōga to be his usual straightforward self, instead he’d turned away. Still, at least he mentioned he’d be there too if she needed him. Sachiko certainly hoped that was the case considering his declaration earlier, before she’d dozed off.
She swore she could hear Hakkaku and Ginta snickering at Kōga’s behavior though Sachiko tried not to focus on that. From the looks of it, Kōga already felt a little awkward. Still, it was a sight to see after all the confidence and bluntness that was Kōga. It seemed like there was more to him than met the eye.
Before Sachiko could say anything Ginta beat her to it. Perhaps Hakkaku might have added to it if he hadn’t busied himself with tending to the cooking meat again. From the looks of it, it might have been done. Sachiko didn’t have time to observe this further before Ginta’s words sunk in and her face felt warmer.
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Sachiko managed to say after a moment or two.
”Food’s done!” Hakkaku said cheerfully, passing one of the skewered chunks of meat to Kōga. This successfully deterred the topic from being explored further, perhaps for the best. | |

| If he felt like she'd been intruding at all, he didn't mention it. There seemed to be more important things in the air. Ilana wasn't sure if it was tension or just a sense of carefulness.
It hadn't surprised her much. Garret had been secretive of certain things. Why would now be any different? Maybe in time, she'd learn of those secrets.
At least she hadn't interrupted them as she walked out. Part of her had hoped to hear what they were talking about. She hadn't been so lucky this time around.
"Ah, well, alright then," was her simple answer.
The room was warm as she wandered back in. She appreciated that more so than she ever had before. After huddling up near a fire, trying to ignore shivers that wracked her spine or the cold at her back, warmth spreading throughout a room was a godsend.
Ilana lifted her head when Garret broke the silence. She offered a nod in answer before she spoke, "Yes, I feel much better, thank you," she paused only for a moment before she continued, "So what's on the agenda now?"----| |x| |---- Kōga tried to steady himself, clearing his throat. He had to shake the awkwardness eventually. Admitting things in front of Hakkaku and Ginta wasn't always easy. In fact, it was near impossible when they were well aware of his feelings.
Sachiko didn't prod at him this time. That playful self was subdued for the time being. He appreciated that a little bit. It gave him a moment to gather himself. At least now she knew how he felt about the situation. She could come to him whenever she needed to.
Hakkaku cheerily announced that the food was done. Kōga heaved a slight sigh of relief. Something to eat and a long rest after would be nice. It would do Sachiko some good as well.
"Good, we're practically starving," he pointed out sarcastically. He motioned for Sachiko to draw closer to the fire. She needed something the most, "Come on. You're first."
They did drag her all the way to the mutt and then turn her around. She was no doubt tired and hungry. Something in her stomach would put her right back to sleep. A long, good nights rest would leave her refreshed in the morning."Yea, come on sis. You did a lot of walking today," Ginta urged as he helped Hakkaku with the meat,

| Her answer was a simple one yet it gave away a bit. Perhaps she’d walked in so silently under the hopes of eavesdropping a little. The corner of his lip quirked a little and he restrained the smile. No need to go laughing about it, perhaps she’d grow offended if he did.
Changing the topic was the best thing for now. Delicate topics could come later, when everything was settled further and after Edwin and Ilana had become more acquainted.
“We were merely catching up now,” Garret answered, glancing at Edwin.
The shorter man nodded, his arms crossed over his chest as he did so. His dirty blond hair was pulled back out of his face though stray bangs still fell over his eyes. Garret couldn’t imagine how Edwin could stand that.”Not that there has been much to catch up about,” Edwin pointed out. “Though it is pleasant all the same to do so.”
Garret gestured for Ilana to come join them in the center of the room. There was plenty of room and it was warmer closer to the fire. She looked a little chilly over there as it was. Still, she might have been grateful just to have a bed to sleep in for a short while and for a roof over their heads. The patter of rain could be heard against the window panes along with the crackling of the fire nearby.
----[x]---- It was perhaps a good thing that Hakkaku had inadvertently changed the topic. While Sachiko was trying to break out of her introverted shell a little it had turned awkward for her as well—more so than she’d anticipated. A couple of weeks had passed since first waking up to these three but even so she wasn’t one to quickly open up to people either.
“Huh?”
Sachiko blinked, drawn out of her brief brooding by Kōga. It took a second or so for her to realize that he was gesturing for her to get a little closer to the fire’s edge. It must have been obvious that the evening chill was getting to her already if that was the case. Whether consciously or not, she shifted closer to Kōga as much as she did to the fire.
”We don’t want you falling asleep again without eating!” Hakkaku added, passing a skewered hunk of meat around to Sachiko.
It was only when she took the offered food did the others begin eating as well. Sachiko tried to ignore that fact, so used to being something of a wallflower rather than the center of attention. Pushing that thought aside she took a bite of the slightly charred meat. The taste wasn’t familiar to Sachiko though not unpleasant. She tried not to think about the possibility of it being some kind of demon too. | |

| Ilana shuffled a little nervously. She didn't quite feel comfortable with being analyzed but she figured that was going to be a given as well. Ilana was the strangest one here, after all. She was from a different time entirely.
The answers were simple enough. Whatever they were catching up on, Ilana could only figure, honestly. She didn't ask. There was no reason to get into business that wasn't her own.
She stepped into the room a little more now that she was asked to. She still felt a little nervous however. Outwardly friendly as she was, she felt like there was something more going on here.
"Ah, I suppose it would be," she finally stated, clearing her throat a little.
It was warmer in the middle of the room. She appreciated it, even more so after losing heat normally or sleeping outside for so long. A little fire did quite a bit in the enclosed room.
"So...what's next then?" she asked after a moment.----| |x| |---- Kōga glanced at her and smiled a little. At least she was up again. She seemed like she was struggling to keep herself awake. He didn't blame her, if he could be completely honest. She'd done enough as it was.
"Eat up," he finally prodded, allowing Ginta and Hakkaku to serve themselves first. He'd get something himself when he was sure everyone else was fed."You look ready to sleep where you sit," Ginta pointed out, trying not to smile.
"You'll be fine when you get something in your stomach," Kōga continued, "Sachiko will sleep like the dead."
Something told him they might get a late start tomorrow as well. It seemed like the best thing for them all. The journey had proven stressful and straining. Things had changed quite a bit. Over time, there might be more changes.
He only hoped he had a little more time with Sachiko in private. He was growing to like that time, short as it was.

| Ilana still looked as if she were expecting, or perhaps just wanting, answers. Her patience would be rewarded in time but Garret had to wonder if she’d even like the answers she would receive. Now was not the time for them however. For now she needed to rest and heal her blisters while they were here. Plans could be made after some improvements were seen in that area.
“For now we rest and take it easy,” Garret noted.
Edwin was quick to pitch in his two cents, nodding at the fireplace as he did so. “There is plenty of time for things to be hashed out later.”
Garret moved towards the nearby table, seating himself at it. It was only then did he remove his hat, as if to further prove to Ilana that it was indeed the plan to rest here. He ignored the thin layer of dust over the table top, hand prints and the like all over it’s top from Edwin’s use of it presumably that morning.
“Come and rest nearer to the fire,” he offered. Already Garret could hear Edwin moving around in the room as well though what he was up to Garret couldn’t say. It wasn’t too important as of the moment anyways.
----[x]---- Sachiko still felt sluggish, ready to sleep some more when she could. Still, a meal would help, quieting her stomach and making it easier to ignore the chilly night air for a time. At least, she hoped the latter would be the case. Her clothes weren’t exactly made for romping around at night in the woods like this.
Nibbling at the hunk of cooked meat, Sachiko was one again thankful for the fact that the three with her knew what they were doing. She’d never gone hunting in her life and would have had no clue how to go about it effectively. With her luck she probably would have stumbled on some angry demon again and bit the dust.
As she ate the other three soon joined in, carrying along a conversation she half paid attention to. Only when her name was mentioned did she blink up, listening in a little more fully. Had they been talking to her this whole time and she hadn’t noticed?
”She’ll need it,” Hakkaku pointed out.
Sachiko offered a sleepy smile in return. She’d have liked a nice blanket to cocoon up into as well but she’d take what she could get. Right now all there was was a campfire and she’d make due with that.
The time passed slowly though eventually Sachiko did manage to finish her meal. It wouldn’t be long after that she would try to lay down and sleep again, despite the chill in the air. | |

| Garret didn't provide much. It seemed it might be a time to relax. Ilana found she didn't quite mind that. Honestly, after spending so much time traveling, it would be nice to just sit down. She knew they would probably be on their way again eventually as well.
She took the invitation to sit closer by the fire. Ilana strode over, pulling out a chair. Nearer the fire, she felt a little better. With the evening coming on, it did feel a little chillier. The rain probably didn't help either.
"I guess I can't argue against that," she finally replied.
The man named Edwin was moving about the cabin though she couldn't say what he might have been looking for. She hummed briefly before her attention turned back to the fire. It was nice to watch though she more appreciated how warm it was.
"There's been no trouble, I assume," she brought up after a moment, shifting a little in her seat.----| |x| |---- The meal was mostly ate in silence though, none of them seemed to mind that. Sachiko was so tired, it was probably better for her to just relax. The sooner she got some sleep, the better off she'd be in the morning.
What conversation did take place was enjoyable. Soon enough however, the events of the day settled in and they all grew tired. Kōga stayed up a little later to keep an eye on things. Eventually, he settled down himself, closing his eyes.
He dozed quietly, only half awake in hopes to hear any sounds that might alert him to danger. It was still chilly out, the fire dying down as the night went on.
He blinked, startled away briefly as someone pressed against his back. Kōga blinked awake, glancing back to find Sachiko there, looking comfortable. Perhaps she was hoping to get warmer this way.
Kōga's face warmed considerably and he did his best not to move. Sachiko looked comfortable, maybe warmer, so he didn't want to wake her when she was sleeping so deeply. A little warmth spread through him as well, knowing that she was pressed so close to him now.

| She looked more content once she’d settled herself near the fireplace, the orange glow giving her a healthier appearance now that they were in out of the damp weather. Garret watched her a moment or two before he realized he might be staring. Running a hand over his mouth he shook his head. Now was no time for getting lost in thought and observation such as this.
“None that we have seen,” Garret answered.
Nearby Edwin leaned back in his own seat, the wood creaking beneath his weight. He didn’t seem to mind the sound, perhaps dismissing it entirely or used to it already. Garret wasn’t sure and it didn’t matter regardless.”Not that there is much out this far into the woods,” Edwin pointed out.
“Ah, so this is why you’ve yet to move on,” Garret teased, chuckling. Edwin merely waved his words away. No doubt such an isolated cabin such as this was a haven for the paranoid recluse. Still, Edwin wasn’t so worse off that he jumped at every little thing. Truly he was not as bad as Garret might have made him sound.
Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to Ilana for a moment, finding himself observing her for a moment. That odd blue hair of hers caught the firelight in an almost ethereal way.
----[x]---- It was chilly, even as Sachiko tried to keep herself warm. Still, tattered clothes and no shoes only did so much. It would be a relief when she had something newer to wear, especially so if they were the very furs Kōga and his kin wore. It was the chilly air that kept her half-awake even now.
She rolled, something solid halting her though it was warm. Dozing as she was Sachiko didn’t think much of it, staying near to the other body. She was warmer and had something near to cuddle. A contented sigh passed her lips as she dozed further.
If she dreamed, Sachiko didn’t recall any of them. Maybe that was for the best. How many days had passed that she’d recalled the horror that brought her here? Too many; even just one night was too much for her. As such Sachiko didn’t work to rouse herself when she began to wake, eager to keep sleeping and remain warm.
Wait… warm?
Sachiko forced her eyes open, becoming more aware of the fact that arms were draped over her, keeping her close. Black trimmed in white met her gaze, the metal warm after—what? Minutes? No, more like hours—so long of being pressed closely against the wolf boy. Her face warmed considerably even in her half-awake state. But who…? Sachiko had an idea but still she peered up to glimpse Kōga’s sleeping face. Her face grew hotter still, even as she hid it away against his armor, hearing his deep breathing.
’How long…? Sachiko didn’t know though part of her found she didn’t mind as much as she probably should. Didn’t they just decide to try a relationship between each other? This felt like a little much after only a day and yet she was warm and comfortable like this. | |
