Ashaani woke in a strange place. Her dream was nothing more than a memory, distant, but happy. She wondered where Arthas had gone and slowly placed her feet in the ground. As she stood a sharp pain pierced her side where she had been wounded. Ashaani pushed through the pain and started to the window.
"Why would Arthas send me here..." She wondered out loud. She took a deep breath and left the room to find King Varian Wrynn. Surely he would have answers.
The throne room was empty so Ashaani took to the gardens to think for herself. She walked around the grounds and watched children playing close by. Some of them were playing hide and seek. Others had wooden swords, sparing with one another, and some of the little girls were chasing the butterflies as they laughed.
The woman smiled to herself remembering her own childhood. It wasn't as free as theirs but she had a good one when she thought about it. She walked to them and smiled. "You three look like you are enjoying yourselves." She said kindly. "Were playing a game! Whoever catches the biggest butterfly wins!" One of the girls said very excitedly. "Wanna play?" Another asked. Ashaani thought for a moment and shook her head. Soon she too was laughing along with them trying to find the biggest butterfly in Stormwind.
"I see you're finally awake and doing well."
A familiar voice struck Ashaani before she turned to greet an old friend. She smiled at him and bowed respectfully. "Varian, it's good to see you. The girls and I were catching Butterflies."
Ashaani looked around at the city as the girls kept playing. "It's beautiful. You've restored it very nicely.
"It was our people who restored it. Long before I returned." Varian gave her a smile and put his arm around her. "There is food inside. You've been asleep for almost three days." Ashaani said goodbye to the children after promising to play with them again and walked with Varian into the castle.
