They have finally return to the castle, but would bringing Milla along prove to be a dangerous decision?

There was actually several more sentences to that memo of Gabby15cancer thanking several people. It was irrelevant to anything we're doing here so it's been omitted.

On another note, why would you bring a child into a dangerous situation like this? It would have been safer to have found a secluded spot that's relatively warm and well-stocked for her to hide in until such a time that you can backtrack for her. Milla would remain safe and no one would have to end up shielding her from harm and any violence they'd come across on the way.

“Chris.”

“Yeah?”

“Don’t let us die.”

“I won’t.” he murmured as he revved the snowmobile again

So much for those amazing force field or telekinetic powers. And what was all that talk in "Project K" about Karla-Sue not being able to die? Yeah, joke or not I didn't forget.

as Milla wrapped her little arms around Chris’s waist while your arms were on either side of her holding onto Chris as well.

That can't be safe. Hell, just googling what the maximum number of people on a snowmobile is leads you to Motor Toys. A question here asked "How many people can be on a snowmobile" and their answer was "Two (2) people maximum. (No matter how old.)" which means Chris and Karla are not only endangering their lives with this stunt but the life of Milla as well.

“Vhere are ve going?” Milla asked while looking up at you.

“We have to save Leon, and make sure BillyBenny is okay.”

“Okay.” She simply said while turning back to watch the snow covered road.

I love how the kid knows literally neither of those people and she's just all "Oh, okay. Meh. I'd rather watch paint dry now, okay?"

Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head? (Oh) Mr. Crowley, did you talk to the dead?

You gritted your teeth in anger as Milla turned back to you while Chris let out an angry growl. “Answer the bastard.”

You nodded and flipped the phone open, “Hello Wesker.” You replied in a cold tone.

Logically Karla would have fallen off the snowmobile by now. She's got one hand off of Chris. People hold onto the person driving to stay on the vehicle not just for the hell of it. Not only that but they've overloaded the max number of people allowed on this type of vehicle already which means Karla would have to have a death grip on Chris past Milla to stay on and not fall off.

“Did you make use of the mobile I left for you?”

“This thing is yours?”

What'd he do?! Airlift the stupid thing out to you!? Do you literally just NOT think of these things!? This is stupid! There's no reason Wesker would have left a snowmobile for them to use just because! It would have made more sense to have foreshadowed the thing there along the way


“Indeed,” you could imagine the smirk on his face right about now. “I’m glad you made use of it.”

“Are you going to antagonize me or are you gonna shut the hell up?”

Considering everything in this series revolves around you I think the answers pretty clear.

“Ms. Smith,” his voice layered with warning and impatience. “Don’t make me take that little girl away from your care.”

“Leave Milla out of this.” Your gaze looked down at her as she frowned at you.

“Then do not try my patience with you. Although before I leave you for only a moment there will be two things I would like to add; I know it was you who infiltrated my lab in Nepal along with Valentine and I’ll have a great challenge for you soon.” With that said he hung up

That was only one thing. Knowing Karla and Jill infiltrated the Nepal lab and that you're going to pay them back for it is one thing, they're directly tied to each other.

and you placed the phone back in your pocket as you used your free hand to stroke Milla’s hair.

Hair stroking? Of a little girl? Well, this is just all new amounts of awkward.


“No ones going to hurt you anymore…I promise.”

Leon awoke to the fluorescent lights above as he groaned, the pain in his torso was still sore from when Anya had punched him. He sat up carefully and held his forehead while looking around the room once more, it was the same.

While normally I'd be forgiving of the mention that things hadn't changed, it at least tells us something, it doesn't help things here. We still haven't had an adequate description of what any place looks like in this fic. Telling me that nothing has changed only works when I have an active idea of what it should look like in the first place.

His hands reached into his pocket to pull out the object that had become his daily routine since his time here in Russia. When suddenly his face paled as he frantically searched his pockets for the missing black box.

“Shit.” He murmured softly as he suddenly thought of the scenario; he must’ve dropped it when Anya had knocked him out cold so she must have it.

Oh, not to worry, Leon, there's no need for the engagement ring. Your "love at first sight twu wuv" moved on pretty damn fast once you went missing, you see.

“Anya.” He growled while getting off of the bed to watch the monitors for any movement at all. He smirked upon spotting her in one of the many corridors he then turned to the door and banged on it until one of the minions answered it.

How would he instantly know that it was Anya? Logically and in a place I like to call "reality" they would have searched him and stripped him of all items on his person, including the engagement ring anyways. Just because Anya had displayed some curiosity doesn't immediately mean she was the one who took it, it would be just as likely that the villains grew a brain and thought to search him.

“What?” it snarled at him rudely as he held an innocent smile.

“Bathroom.”

(Minion): "Go in the corner."

What? If I was a villain I wouldn't be stupid enough to take my prisoners out of their cells!

The meeting was bore as always, the same take over the world plan and kill any who interfere. She respected SvetlanaRosso greatly but taking over the world wasn’t part of Anya’s plans.

I don't think Anya quite understands what being an underling entails here. Her plans have no bearing on SvetlanaRosso's plans what-so-ever.

She then pouted and looked around the corridor to insure that she was indeed alone before pulling out the small box that Leon had dropped. When she opened it a ring sat inside; a silver band with a not too large but not too small topaz stone sat upon it surrounded by mystic topaz. It was a beautiful engagement ring she had to admit, the white mystic topaz stones complimented the large yellow topaz.

What's with all the topaz? Is that her favorite gemstone or something? It'd be nice if we had actually had any indication of this in the narrative.

“Beautiful isn’t it?” a familiar voice spoke from behind her as she spun around to see Leon there with an angry expression. He held out his hand, palm face up as he silently demanded the ring.

What happened to the minion who should have been guarding him? I'd like to think that any self-respecting villain would have minions at least bright enough not to let the prisoners out of their cells.

She nodded while placing it in his hand, “I meant to give it back to you vhen I vent back to the room.”

“You almost made me have a heart attack,” he joked while his expression softened and tucked the box back in his pocket. “This ring means a lot to me since I’m going to ask the woman I love the most to marry me.” He admitted.

I can only imagine how crushed this guy would be when he finds out her emotional betrayal for falling for Chris in nearly less the time it took for her to fall for Leon back in "Project K." Also if that ring is so important than why did you even bring it with you, ya dolt? This is a mission not a walk in the park! You should have left it at home or, if you were afraid that Karla would find it before you got home, then give it to someone trustworthy to hold onto for you in the meantime! Get a security deposit box! Anything would have been smarter than bringing something that valuable with you!

Anya nodded her deep blue eyes glowering behind him as he looked back to see the minion there scowling. “Bathroom huh scum?” he snarled at Leon.

So, what? The minion just kind of let Leon out and let him wander on his own? He didn't think to escort him at all?

“Calm down Dorgan, I am the one vho needed a vord vith him.” Anya defended much to Leon’s surprise.

Dorgan snorted while continuing down the hall, he had to be the most obnoxious infected slaves of them all. “Um, thanks?” he said confused while she smirked.

“You do vant to stay alive to propose, right?” she remarked while walking past him silently making him follow behind her.

Yes, Anya's supposed to be a weak link who'll turn on SvetlanaRosso. No, no one gives a damn reading this because this situation keeps dragging. No, no one will be surprised when it actually happens.

Also, is it sad that I want to punch Anya in the face solely on the basis that the whole "she's gonna turn on SvetlanaRosso" 'twist' keeps dragging?

“Karla.” Milla called to you tiredly, her eyelids drooping low as she nuzzled against Chris’s back while the three of you rode on back to Chudova.

“What is it sweetie?”

“You and Chris remind me of the cartoon vith the little boy and the vhale and the captain.” She said while yawning.

“The misadventures of Flapjack.” You and Chris said in unison.


Does Russia even air that cartoon?

“Yes,” she nodded tiredly with her eyelids closed. “I am Flapjack, you are Bubby, and Chris is-”

“Captain K’nuckles.” Chris finished with a chuckle. “You’re just saying that because we argue all the time right short stuff?”

“Yes…” she whispered as she finally dozed off to sleep.

“I love that cartoon, Leon hates it because its stupid.”

Which only gives you more in common with Chris here solely because we can infer that he does like it by his responses to the brat. Great. You are aware that it takes more for love to blossom and grow than liking the same cartoon, right? The answer is no.

You grinned as you gently stroke her hair while she slept.

Enough with the use of 'stroke' already, will you?! Considering all of the rape-like vibes you give off from time to time it's just coming across as creepy!

“Poor kid, she’s been through so much. Losing both parents to this virus and to a corporation, just like Sherry.”

“I know. Milla didn’t have to go through that.” Chris agreed angrily as he drove on. “What will we do with her though? Are you gonna let the government take her?”

“That’s out of the question, I’m adopting her. No way is she going to become an experiment if Wesker gets a hold of her. She won’t be safe in the Governments care.”

What's so different between Sherry and Milla? You've had no issue with Sherry going to the government in the Raccoon City flashbacks but suddenly you're going to get up in arms when it comes to Milla? Was Sherry just not good enough or something?

Also, how would that even work anyways? If the government was so eager to take Sherry Birkin then why wouldn't they want to take Milla, too? She's just as valuable as Sherry, not because she has an immunity to one of the viruses, but because her foresight could be exploited.

“Alright then,” you could hear the smile in Chris’s voice. “I get joint custody.”


“Why? We were never married.” You snorted.

“I’ve grown attached to the short stuff; let’s just say that Milla is to me what Sherry was to Claire.” You wanted to cry right then and there. Chris actually had feelings.

Why is that such a surprise?! Chris is a rather open guy compared to a lot of the cast of males in this series! We know where his loyalties lie, he's friendly, he's good-natured and cares about those around him - all indicators that he has feelings. Now, I say that but it's in terms of Chris' canon counterpart. This guy we've been reading about? He's shown about as much fatherly affection and worry for Milla as I share for this tube of chapstick on my desk. This is out of left field, at least Claire was shown to have repeatedly cared for what happened to Sherry and wanted to try and help her and even went out of her way to do just that on more than one occasion.

But in truth you were surprised that he cared for Milla as though she were his daughter, that’s definitely how you felt about her. You were positive Leon wouldn’t mind having an extra woman in his life…even though he had three already. (Note: You, Ada, and Angela.)

Oh, great! Now I have to add Angela onto that stupid flowchart even though she never actively appears! Fuck my life!

“Bitches.” You growled upon thinking about them

Once again we're shown Karla's ultimately jealous side that never fails to rear its stupid head. Speaking of, why should she be jealous in this instance? She's the one falling for another man, not Leon falling for another woman. He didn't spare any thought back in Project K to ditching any hope of ending up with Ada in favor of Karla and I can only assume that Leon and Angela's "dive kiss" didn't happen due to the rampant jealousy this author bestows into her self-insert.

Unless, of course, this is unintended brilliance in that in reality cheaters are often the overbearing, overly jealous types.

as Chris passed you a quick glance.

“Talking to me Cybil?”

“No…anyways, okay you can have joint custody…but she’s getting Leon’s surname.”

“Hyphened.”

“Kennedy-Redfield.”

“Deal.” He sighed. “How do you know Leon will be okay with it?”


“Oh I know he will, if he plans to marry me someday he’s going to have to get use to Milla. What about Jill?”

“She has a soft spot for children.”



“Oh.” Was the last of the conversation as the castle came into view once again.

Notice how neither of these assholes asked Milla what she wanted. They're deciding her entire life as she sleeps without even bothering for her opinion and acting as her parents. While I have no doubt Gabby15cancer would have made Milla's decision a resounding "heck yes!" but that's entirely beside the point. They're essentially taking away her right to choose and did you notice what else was missing from this? Karla and Chris didn't even bother to wonder if Milla had any other relatives -- a distant aunt, a cousin, nothing!

Shots missed him by a few inches as BillyBenny hid behind the wall, one the shots stopped he fired again by turning to the right quickly. As he went back against the wall he caught his breath as he heard the shooter laughed a high pitched womanly laugh.

“You fool, vhen vill you realize that you vill not vin?!” she shouted at him.

“When you learn to speak better English.”


He retorted as he heard her growl and shoot back at him as the bullets ricocheted off the wall beside him.

He ran into this dark haired woman back in the Knight’s room as he journeyed to find Leon. She introduced herself as Nakasha and with that she began to fight him in hand to hand combat before she grew tired and pulled out a gun.

Now, I know fight scenes don't have to be long and drawn out, in fact I'm reminded of a scene in Cirque du Freak/The Darren Shan Saga in which Darren has a difficult time explaining what happens because the full-blooded vampires moved to quickly for his eyes to see. It was short but it was effective and it gave the scene the mood it needed. This is just ridiculous, I don't think Gabby even really tried!

Now here he was dodging the bullets of a woman who had temper issues, he was in really, REALLY, deep shit if Karla didn’t come right this second.

I'm getting seriously sick of this fixation on everyone depending on Karla. She rarely uses her powers either A) forgetting about them entirely for the drama of the moment or B) making excuses not to use them. She's a complete liability who only decides to upstage people and prove any amount of worth is when she's been playing damsel.

“Don’t tell me you give up Mr. ChaseHooker!” she shouted and he noted that she sounded closer than before. “I vas just beginning to like this game!” suddenly the side of the wall received a hard blow as bits of the debris came flying off, once again BillyBenny was knocked down as Nakasha stood above him.

‘Any closer and my head would’ve come clean off.’ He thought while glaring back at her on his side. She was stronger than anything, probably a real life wonder woman.

That'd be nice and all if I actually had a sense of that. I don't even really get the sense that BillyBenny is even struggling in this fight or that Nakasha is trying, there's too little detailed for us to get any of that.

“Surprised Mr. ChaseHooker?” she asked trying to intimidate him. “Vell you should be scared rather than surprised.” She spoke as she took a step towards him as he inched away using his elbows. “Ve are the evolution,

ve can easily crush you with just one finger.” She snarled while picking him up by his neck as she held him a good three feet off the ground. “I vonder vhy Karla and Chris sent someone like you to try and get Leon back.” She tilted her head to the side as her fingers pinched his neck.

BillyBenny kicked furiously as he dropped the gun to the floor; both of his hands gripped her wrist at a poor attempt to let him go.

“Don’t vorry Mr. ChaseHooker, Leon is safe vith us. In fact, he’ll become one of us.” She said while smiling evilly, her green emerald eyes gleaming with malice.

BillyBenny tried to inhale a breath but found that he couldn’t do so; he was in desperate need of oxygen. “Let…me…go.” He croaked as he closed his eyes in pain. She responded by digging her nails deeper into his neck by now she was drawing blood.

You know, I've just realized that Gabby15cancer seems to have a fixation with strangling people. Parasite-controlled!Leon strangled Karla back in "Project K", Wesker strangled Zachary and now Nakasha is strangling BillyBenny.

“No Mr. ChaseHooker, I vant you to die.” She spoke darkly but suddenly a hand gripped her arm, turning she sees Anya glaring at her. By now BillyBenny had stopped kicking as his hands dropped to his sides.

“SvetlanaRosso vants him detained.” Anya spoke calmly even though her blue eyes never released the glare. At that moment she noticed that Leon was eyeing BillyBenny’s unconscious form as though he knew the man.

Wait, Leon's there? Since when did that happen? Where is this going on in the castle in relation to everything else?

“Vhat?!” Nakasha spat as she released BillyBenny and it resulted in him falling to the ground.

“Those are her orders, and you know ve shall never question her.” Anya responded once again remaining calm.

Nakasha glanced at Leon as he looked back at her with glowering eyes, “Vhy is he out of the holding room?”

“That is my business and mine only.”

Bullshit! Mini-spitefic time!

Nakasha's eyes narrowed, flashing dangerously at Anya. "Only your business, hmm?"

Leon grew nervous at the way Nakasha's lips lifted into a smirk and her head tilted to the side giving her a rather deranged appearance. "But dearest Anya, don't you know? We follow Svetlana's orders. If he is out of the holding area than it is of everyone's business. Especially if you're thinking of going against Svetlana."

Anya's blood went cold and her eyes widened. She had been caught.
“Fine. I’ll imprison Mr. ChaseHooker.”

“No, Dorgan vill. SvetlanaRosso vants to see you.”

Looking back down at BillyBenny one more time she shoved past Anya and Leon as she continued onward while silently mumbling to herself. Leon furrowed his brows and finally realized that this was the man that saved you from those things back at the prison.

“I suggest you pretend that you don’t know him. It’ll be safer for him.” Anya spoke softly as Leon nodded.

“Hang tight spider monkey.” You said as Milla’s little legs were secured around your waist while her arms were around your neck loosely but firm. Chris smirked as he held onto your shotgun while Milla nuzzled her face tiredly into your neck.

Why is the child hanging off of Karla? What safety would that bestow upon the brat? I'm also suddenly reminded of the way Renesbrat hung off of Bella in the piss-poor excuse of a climax in Breaking Dawn.

“I am sleepy.” She whispered as Chris opened the door for you two to enter.

“I know, but for now until we reach a safe point you need to be my second pair of eyes sweetie.”

“You can count on me Karla!” she said suddenly energetic as she giggled.

“Oh you are so adorable!” you said as she pouted.

“I don’t like adorable.”

“Okay decent.”


I left that in tact so everyone can sort of get a feel for Milla and what we're going to be dealing with from her.

“Yay!”

“Quiet a minute short stuff.” Chris suddenly whispered as you and Milla stood quiet while peering around the large place.

Oh, now you tell her to quiet down? Just because she's a kid doesn't mean you can let her do whatever in certain places and not in others when noise in any of them could have drawn enemies to you.

“What did you hear?” you whispered as he inched closer to you so close that his arm was touching yours.

“A growling sound. I think they let these things roam around here.” He said while looking at Milla and he gave her a smile. “Don’t worry short stuff, we’ll protect you.”

She nodded while smiling, “I vill do anything I can to help.” She whispered softly.

Yes, because a child who just lost her mother, who didn't even realize she'd heard her mother's death, is going to be this calm in the face of danger. Dude, I know she's infected but that doesn't mean you can wisen her up past her years when you feel like it! She's still a child and one you intend to be a child! She should be wondering where her mother is and what happened!

He nodded while motioning you to follow him. You did so and you were very proud of Milla; she was brave and she wanted to help even though she wasn’t big enough to hold or operate a gun. Chris walked ahead your shotgun raised as his eyes scanned the long corridors; you were holding the duel pistols as Milla was keeping alert.

Chris held up an arm as you stopped, you peeked around his shoulder to see a puddle of blood on the ground. Oddly though it was dripping from above, slowly you and Chris looked up to see a creature crawling on the ceiling. You inwardly cursed as you noticed its long tongue dripping down to lick at the blood.

‘Shit, shit, shit not a goddamn licker.’

I'm totally rooting for the Licker in this scenario.

Suddenly it let out a sharp screech as its tongue wrapped around Chris’s ankle and it made him fall to the ground while dragging him upwards. Milla gasped as you held up the pistols to aim, “Chris!” she shouted and before you could pull the triggers a Jackal came and attacked you from the front and it resulted in Milla falling off from your back a couple of feet away and you falling to the ground as it jumped on you and proceeded to attack you.

“No! Get avay!” Milla shouted as she took off one of her shoes and threw it at the thing. It let out an angry shout before it opened its mouth letting the bloody drool escape, its red eyes turned on Milla as it readied for a crouch. She wasn’t scared at all; in fact she was glaring at it menacingly.

Bullshit! No kid acts like this! No exceptions!

“Milla no!” you let out more of a croak since it was still on top of you, slowly crushing as it let its full weight sit upon you. You heard gunshots and knew that Chris was too busy fighting the licker to help out.

The Jackal let out an evil laugh before jumping up and going towards the now shocked little girl inching towards the wall as it was falling towards her.

“MILLA!”
