No, a moment of relief was when I hopped off to go play some online matches on ORC again. This is not a moment of relief other than for the fact that it's only six pages long unsporked rather than the usual seven, eight or nine.

Separated again only this time Karla finds out her inner conscious was right all along about a certain someone...(Two chapters because I thought I owe it to you guys for waiting so long for my updates...enjoy!)

More like because you thought to torture us. Rushed chapters do not make up for lack of updates when the writing is piss poor at best especially since 'hot off the press' chapters are rife with typos and grammatical errors.

You had no choice but to board the helicopters and if you hadn’t you all would’ve died no joke.

I don't think anyone would have been compelled to laugh at the fact that they're hostages at the moment. Your "no joke" tag kills the mood you were going for.

The island had blown up into a large black mushroom cloud just as you had flown away.

That would insist the self-destruct was nuclear in nature. I doubt even Umbrella would use nuclear blasts for their self-destruct sequences.

Unfortunately, they separated you again but this time girls from the men.


Meaning that you, Sheva, and Milla were on a helicopter with Donovan as the guys were in an opposite one.

“You’re lying.” You suddenly stated through your teeth.

“Am I?” Donovan asked as he took out his cell phone and dialed a number, while holding it up his ear he winked at you. Seconds later he began speaking, “Ah yes, this is Agent M I want you to patch me through the Army base, tell them its M calling for Oscar Smith. It’s quite urgent.”

You know, this really bothers me. She establishes these characters with Personality A (Demitri and Whats-His-Nuts especially) and then the instant she makes it known they are working for Mercury Corp she instantly gives them Personality C to make them seem worse than they were to begin with and to try to get her reading audience to hate them. What this does is makes her look less than an amateur in writing. It makes her look downright incompetent at the craft.

“Karla’s he’s bluffing.” Sheva said with animosity as she laid a hand on your shoulder. “Oscar is much smarter than that.”

“Not when it involves his family,” you said not taking your eyes off of Donovan. “Oscar’s a family man.”

If you knew that than why were you so against believing Whats-His-Nuts when he told you he could endanger their lives if you don't cooperate?

“Hello again Oscar, remember me?…Ah of course you do, guess who I have right now. Here.” He handed you the phone as you grabbed it from him without removing eye contact.

You know, setting it to speakerphone would have been much more productive to prove to everyone at the same time that the threat is very real.

“Oscar…”

“Karla? Good lord what have you gotten yourself into?” it was Oscar alright, and the way he sounded right about now brought back old memories.

“The Redlight District.... Oh, wait! No! I mean They caught us, what was I supposed to do?”

For a second he stayed silent but then he exhaled loudly, “You know then that they threatened us with you.”

“And vice versa.”

“Run away while you all can. Please.”

“I can’t, I won’t jeopardize you and Bethany’s lives.”

“And we don’t want to bury another child!” he rose his voice. “Leave now!”


“Oscar-” the phone was snatched from your hand as Donovan spoke into it.

“Oscar, play by the rules or you’ll hear Karla’s death over the phone.” He then smirked before he hung it up. “See? Mercury doesn’t fool around.”

Despite Mercury not really playing all that major a role in this fic at all. Sure we have Demitri hounding Karla-Sue's steps since his introduction but Mercury itself hasn't really done anything. The same with Wesker and Hana-Sue. The focus is on the doppelganger most of the time and even then she's not doing much either.

“No we don’t!” oh how you cringed upon hearing his voice! It seemed that no matter where you went Demitri always found you.

Whats-His-Nuts' voice is not Demitri's voice. Demitri is completely irrelevant to this situation as he has nothing to do with it. And also, making all of your rival Corporation's employees act the exact same way? It doesn't make them more antagonistic, it just shows how little ability you have to characterize and flesh out personalities and motivations.

“No, not him.” You silently mumbled to yourself and then Demitri appeared from the doorway of the cabin.

Just how big is this helicopter? The cabin is open so that the passengers and the pilots can see one another. Demitri would be in one of the pilot's seats if he was in the cabin and be viewable from there and if Demitri is here than you have to specify that it was Demitri's voice above in a more direct manner. The way you had worded it made it seem as if Whats-His-Nuts was merely channeling the other man.

“Yes its me, and I missed you as much as you missed me.” Demitri taunted as Donovan looked up at him.

“Cut it out Demitri, they’re not friends.”

“Those two aren’t, but Karla is.” He smirked.


“Why don’t you just leave her alone?” Sheva spoke up while glaring at him. “What is she to you anyway?”

Demitri who had been lightly swinging back and forth on his heels suddenly stopped as he walked over to her and grabbed her by her chin, tilting her face upwards to his.

Gabby15cancer must think that all helicopters have tons of room to maneuver around. This isn't always the case, especially for little passenger copters. This is why description is so important in a story.

“Sheva!” Milla cowered beside you.

“Karla is…a likable person is she not?” he then tilted her face towards yours. “Isn’t she?”

No. She's really not. She whines, bitches, and moans about everything around her including the fact that she's expected to go out and protect and save people's lives during her job as co-founder of BETA division. She consistently abuses and bullies those she deems weaker than her physically even though physical strength is not all that constitutes a person's strength. She hides behind others and makes them do her work for her. She bosses them around and demands things and attention from them constantly. She refuses to actively do anything about any horrible situation she finds herself in instead choosing to mope and whine about how horrible it is.

I'm sure I could go on but then I'd be stretching this on for pages and no one wants that.

he questioned again and Sheva nodded in agreement, obviously displeased with having him touch her. “So, I like her. She’s attractive, she plays hard to get, and…” he trailed off while joining in on looking at you. “She makes the mental side of me sane.”


You raised a brow while looking over at Donovan for an explanation; he looked at Demitri before looking back at you. And for a split second you saw his eyes hold some warmth towards you, “Demitri…was…” he didn’t know exactly how to word it correctly.

You know, considering Karla-Sue was there for when Leon's sadistic clone, Peon, stabbed Demitri in the jugular why isn't she wondering how the fuck he's still among the living? He should be more like poor Alice here who got shanked hard in the neck with a pair of scissors:

“Oh come now Don! I’m a nut case! I was put in an Asylum!” he became thoughtful for a moment before speaking again, still holding Sheva’s face.

Like most other things, Gabby15cancer proves to us that she has no idea what she's even talking about.

“In fact, it was called Arkham Asylum.”


You all remained silent for a moment before he grinned. “No, just kidding. I was in Salvatore Asylum for the Criminally Insane. Even though I wasn’t a criminal, my parents decided to send me there hoping they could “cure” my mental state…turns out it didn’t work. I had to kill another inmate just to survive, that’s how brutal it was.”


“And we’re supposed to feel bad for you?” you questioned. And in that mere moment Demitri had released Sheva and gripped you by your chin while running a tantalizing finger over your lips. “Why did Mercury hire you?”

Once again, Gabby is showing her ass. The very definition for tantalizing is this;

Which would mean that Karla-Sue does find Demitri attractive, or at least views him in a lustful manner.

“Because, he was intelligent. Like, Hannibal Lector minus the cannibalism.” Donovan answered as he watched his friend carefully.

Give me one example from the text itself in which Demitri ever showed a semblance of intelligence thus far. I dare you.

“That and I’m much handsomer.” He said while watching you.

“If you’re trying to scare me, it’s not working. My grandmother scares me more.” You spoke confidence poking through as Demitri’s creepy smile returned.


“I’m not trying to scare you Karla, I’m trying to make you see that I’m a good person…deep down.”

“No,” you shook your head. “No your not.”

Why is any of this relevant to what meager plot actually exists?!

His smile faded as he released your face with a rather rough shove, “Have it your way.”

“Don’t treat her like that.” Donovan said while once again watching him.

“Shut up!” Demitri snapped. “You’re no Saint either Donovan! You’re in this just as much as me.”

“At least I know to keep my hands to myself and not harm a lady.” He retorted in a rather calm voice.

Demitri hissed at him, “Enough talking.”

Demitri scared you in more ways than one, and now you were sure of it since he just admitted to being in the crazy bin for loonies.


He then turned his gaze to you as you held his gaze—wait a second…are his eyes blue? No, they couldn’t be they were green. But how come they’re bright blue right now in front of you?

Squinting harder you realize then that they were blue, Demitri seemed to notice because he blinked and turned away from you. “Your eyes…they were blue.” You finally said.


“No it’s the lighting, they’re still green.” He mumbled still not facing you as he rubbed his eyes.

“No. They were blue, even in the darkness I can still see clearly.” You insisted as Sheva placed her hand back on your shoulder.

Donovan looked from you to him with a worried glance, “Demitri, let me see.”

“No. I’m going back up front.” With that he made his way back to the front to sit and converse with the pilot.

This was all just too weird. His eyes were as blue as Leon’s, you were sure of it.

Gabby, you lack the talent to write intriguing "mysteries" such as you're trying to do. It just comes across as a last-ditch to shoe-horn in some bullshit reason as to how he's still alive to antagonize Karla-Sue. He has served no legitimate purpose thus far. None at all. He doesn't advance the plot, he doesn't add to the plot - his presence does absolutely nothing for your story other than to add 35% more filler.

Needless to say that was the last you saw of Demitri before you all were taken to a place, you knew for sure that it was another facility.

I - just - wha - ju!! Huh? "You were taken to a place"? Fucking REALLY?

You didn’t see the guys at all but instead Donovan and some of the troops escorted you three to a holding cell, they placed Sheva and Milla in first before Donovan pulled you aside for a chat.

“You’re going to stay in here and not cause any ruckus.”

“Fine, but you give Sheva some medical attention, if you don’t I’ll make a scene.” You said with a furious tone.

The only thing I can imagine to that "threat" is of Karla flinging herself to the floor and throwing a tantrum that even a kindergartner would be embarrassed at.

Donovan sighed while running a hand through his dirty blonde hair, “Alright, I’ll see to it that a nurse comes down here. Until then we’re going to have a meeting, and in we I mean Demitri, and our supervisor... find out what to do with you.”

They are prisoners. Prisoners do not get this kind of information. They do not get this kind of treatment. This is solely for more convenience for Karla-Sue and it's sickening.

He finished and something in his tone caught your immediate attention; he was worried. It seemed like he was a good guy after all or it could be just a façade.

“Don,” you began. “You’re good, I know it. Do you think you’ll get anything worthwhile by playing Mercury’s little game? Do you know what they’re up to? Not only that but I have to save the rest of my friends, and by keeping me in here…people are gonna die.”


“I’m well aware of that,” he answered while placing a hand on your wounded shoulder. “But…I just can’t let you go.” And with that he shoved you backwards into the cell as gently as he possibly could.


“Keep attention on them at all times, especially Smith.” Donovan said before looking at you and walking out of the holding cells.

“Damn him.” You hissed, as you began to pace back and forth. “I don’t believe this! We got caught again and to boot we’re separated from Leon and the others!” you raised your hands up in the air in exaggeration.

Sheva was standing near the metal bars of the only entrance and exit

As is standard with a goddamn cell, you twit!

as she watched you with a serious look on her beautiful brown face. Milla was sitting on the bench swinging her legs as her amber eyes looked over at you, “It is ok Karla, the man won’t be back for another two hours.” She suddenly said.

You looked at her but didn’t stop your pace, “Premonition?” you questioned softly as she nodded.

“They never lie.” She smiled.


“Like she said Karla, we have two hours to figure out how we’re gonna find the others.” Sheva told you while rubbing her arm.

“Shut up in there.” One of the guards spat.

“Bite me!” you snapped back just as rude and from there the guard took it as a hint to not piss you off.

This is not how prisoner situations work! You would have been reprimanded, possibly threatened if your idea of your antagonists is anything to go by, and told to just shut the fuck up again. You do not get free reign at all. And since these people have you all without anyone else knowing about it that spells disaster for you. They could kill you for shits and giggles and no one would be any the wiser just because you pissed them off. But of course, that never occurs to "I just act like ME" Karla-Sue. No, because everything in this shitty universe revolves around and conveniences her to the nth degree.

“Karla…” Sheva began but was lost for words as she hesitated.

“No Sheva, its ok don’t try and calm me down. I’m just trying to figure out how this whole crap started!” unbeknown to you the power of your telekinesis was rapidly starting to flow towards your hands. Sheva’s brown eyes followed the flow of energy and she found out that it was indeed building up in your hands.


“Karla…”

“No, I gotta find a way to get out of here, find the guys, then kill Demitri once and for all…” you said with malice as you continued to pace angrily and once again Sheva looked down at your closely tightened fists. Fear began to strike her since she didn’t know what was going to happen once you lost control over your power.


“Karla…” she began to say again desperately trying to get your attention.

“Sheva I’m fine,” you say as you spun around on heel and stomped over towards the metal bars. “I’ve had it with Demitri and his games, and I’ve had it with stupid, asshole sons of bitches MERCURY!!!” you just wanted to throw your hands forwards in exaggeration but instead a large and powerful blast erupted from your hands and the door flew off its hinges.


You stood there, mouth agape as your hands were still in midair fingers outwards. Sheva placed a hand on her mouth trying hard to suppress her laugh and Milla simply looked pleased. “I tried to tell you, but it’s a good thing you didn’t listen.” Sheva said but before she could walk out the guards were already blocking the entranceway.


“Put your hands up!”

“Put em’ up now!” the second one screamed, both guns drawn on you two.

“Karla do it again!” Sheva urged as you shook your head still in shock.

“No! I don’t want to blow them up!” you shouted.

“Karla just do it!” she shouted.

“Put your hands up we won’t tell you again!” the first one shouted.

“Fine.” You growled as you held your hands in tightly closed fists before opening them up quickly, once again the invisible powerful blast of telekinesis sent them flying across the room and ultimately knocking them unconscious. “Reminds me of Piper Halliwell from Charmed.” You muttered. “But how is it possible that I have another power?”


Sheva walked out and inspected the place before answering your question, “When you were ranting on in anger I saw the power build up in your hands since you had them in tightly closed fists. Once opened though, I believe that your force field power and telekinesis combine together create a powerful blast that can blow up things and/or people.” She finished while turning to you.


“Scary.” You said as you went over and picked up Milla.

“Not really Karla, it was rather helpful.”


“Hey, to me it’s scary.” You said while handing her Milla.

No, it damn well isn't, you lying piece of trash! You're perfectly content using it all willy-nilly and making Sheva look like the bad guy here by insisting you use it. You had NO qualms against it! NONE! You more than happily went along after only one try to dissuade her! That does not equal fear or hesitaance!

“We’re gonna sneak into a medical room and get you cleaned up first, and then we’ll find Leon and the other men.”

“Karla, my wounds are fine.” She said but the blank face she had on didn’t fool you, the lacerations were rather deep.

Which is exactly why she's all slumped over and unable to move and looks pallid and deathly. Oh, wait....

“Sheva. Shut up and let me take you to the medical room. Jeesh, did you do this with Chris too in Kijuju?” you questioned jokingly.

“Yes No.” She answered simply as you frowned.

“Should’ve known better.” You muttered before the both of you stepped out of the room and proceeded with caution since you didn’t know for sure if Donovan had truly left or not.

This whole thing was like a big game, a game you couldn’t seem to get out of. And now, you had a new power when if upset, can become very dangerous. You had thought your powers stopped with telekinesis, turns out that was way wrong.


You looked around the corner before spotting the medical room not far away; problem was there were security guards around there.

“I hate blowing up people…” you muttered quietly before doing the actual deed, well you didn’t really kill them you just made them hit the wall and they probably received minimal to moderate damage. Oh well, that’s what they get for standing in the way.


“You’re good with this new power.” Sheva mused as the both of you rounded the corner and headed towards the room.

“So far, I haven’t killed anyone.”


“Yet.” She said with a smile as you frowned.

“Thanks for the reminder.”

You both entered the room and quietly closed the door before disabling the camera;

How did you disable the camera? And you do realize that the instance security notices a camera is out they send armed guards down to inspect why it's out, correct?

Sheva set Milla down on the counter as you began looking for the betadine.

“Are you sure that Donovan and Demitri won’t be back?” she suddenly asked as you hooked your thumb towards Milla.

“Don’t doubt the infected.” You said in a jovial tone as Milla giggled.


You began to clean up Sheva’s wounds since you knew Donovan wasn’t really gonna send anyone down, all the while she watched you intently.

NO. THAT IS NOT HOW THIS WORKS. WHATS-HIS-NUTS IS NOT SECURITY, HE IS NOT IN CHARGE OF SECURITY. THOSE WHO ARE WATCHING THE CAMERAS CALL FOR DISPATCHES OUT TO AREAS WITH SUDDENLY MISSING CAMERAS. YOU WOULD BE CAUGHT. THIS IS BEYOND CONVENIENCE. THIS IS JUST YOU AVOIDING ANY AND ALL FUCKING REALISM JUST TO GET TO THE END YOU WANT.

“Was it hard for you?”

The sudden question surprised you since you were focused on treating her wounds; you scrunched up your eyebrows while continuing the task at hand all the while not meeting her gaze. “What was?”

She hesitated you could tell by the way she took in a deep breath, “Zachary’s death. Was it hard for you to handle?”


You answered quickly, “Yes. He and I were close for not being really related and all…but that didn’t matter to us. We still loved each other like siblings should.”

Sheva nodded and smiled gently while looking off into the distance, “I remember when I first saw him, I knew he was way older than me but it didn’t matter at the time…he was so filled with respect and he loved his job I could tell by his smile…he won me over at first glance…I knew, I knew that I wanted to get to know him I wanted that so much…but then when Chris and I found him…lying there in his blood…I lost faith that he would make it…” she trailed off while blinking back tears furiously. “…and I lost all hope for him…I felt so guilty for doing that, I blamed myself saying that maybe…just maybe if I had had hope, he would still be alive.”


You didn’t realize that you had stopped dabbing the cotton on her already dried blood; you did realize though that you weren’t crying like she was or the way Milla sniffled. No, you weren’t crying at all. Maybe it was because you already had made amends with his untimely death, or maybe it was because you accepted that he was dead and now it was time to move on.

You didn’t know why though, you just couldn’t cry.


“Sheva,” you began your voice bringing her to look at you. “The one at fault here is a demon not you not me. I use to blame myself for his death too but then I realized that you can’t keep on holding onto the ‘ifs’. IF I had been there for him, IF I hadn’t been infected, IF I was strong enough…its time to let go and move on. We all know Zachary was selfless, so we need to be too.” And with that said you continued on cleaning her wounds, silence filling the room.


After finishing up you proceeded to leave along with them when a laptop across the room caught your eye, at first you were confused but then you remembered Chris’s flash drive.

Oh, my God. Karla-Sue has ADHD. She has to. She puts so much importance and emphasis on stupid shit and then forgets about them for chapters at a time and then suddenly recalls them for not fucking reason other than the author just suddenly remembered the thing existed!

Sheva was almost about to leave along with Milla when she turned around and saw you going for the computer, “Karla what are you doing?”

“I found Chris’s flash drive on the ground back at the ruins in Egypt; I’ve been curious about what he found there and saved it onto here.” You replied while bypassing the security and password check.

“But we have to go before someone comes.”

“Give me a sec.” you said just as you were about to plug it in a certain file caught your eye, you bit your lip and decided to click on it anyways.

Maybe that was a bad idea, a really really bad idea. Because the information you found on there was disturbing and ironically it had a lot to do with “Demitri.”


“Karla? Is something wrong?” Sheva urged with a worried tone.

With a grim smile you unplugged the flash drive after downloading the new acquired information on there first, “Oh yeah, big time.”

Just as you nodded at Sheva to turn the handle it started to turn itself and instantly the color drained from your face. The door opened hastily and a gun was pointed directly in your face; you looked from the gun to the person and with a raised brow you smiled.

Sheva was still recovering from shock and currently Milla had on a confused but happy smile. You raised your hands up in defense and the smile was still present on your face, “Nice to see you too Chris.”
