| So, I'd been thinking about it for a while now and I've finally started a topic for such things. If you have a theory about something or other in the Okami game, share it here!
My own personal headcanon is for the Oina Tribe. I figure the reason they all have various animal masks reflects what their spirit animal is. This, I feel, is supported by Lika's mask as it looks more nonsensical, aside form the little antennae that seem to stick up out the top. Perhaps it's a stand-in mask until her spirit animal is brought to light or maybe it's something like a butterfly or the like.
Another is, that since the Oina all seem to wear their masks religiously I figure that actually seeing an Oina without his or her mask on would be a deeply intimate thing.
So what about you guys? Have any interest headcanons or theories to share?

| I had a couple regarding Waka at a time~.
I think Waka is an instigator to most people to push them away. Being as he's known to be at least two hundred years old by some, he would see many people come and go throughout his lifetime in the mortal realm. To keep any sorrow toward people who might take interest in him at bay, he pushes people away. Aside from the select few that work under him, of course.
His attitude could also be influenced after the ark had fallen. He had already considered himself above the ranks of his own people. He might consider that for mortals as well.
Or, it could just be as simple as he wants to cause mischief with anyone he meets.
Any of these ways, I think they would all make sense for his attitude.

Any of these ways, I think they would all make sense for his attitude. Speaking of Waka being 200 years old, I've got one for you. I figure he'd find the passage of time a beautiful thing, if only because things change. He would obviously keep people at arm's length if he could because of his own longevity but he might take solace in the fact that seasons change and people and animals grow older.

That's very true and one I can see being a thing as well~.
