Time Spent Together (Attack on Tittan 1_on_1 RP with Atomic)

The mess hall was cluttered and tight, as usual and Amanda searched for a place to sit. She was tired from the extensive training and all she wanted to do was find a place to sit, ear, and go to bed. Unfortunately everyone wanted to talk about the titans. Ignoring everyone else she ate her bread quietly, watching the other cadets.

She had mostly kept to herself since they joined and only spoke when spoken too. It wasn't out of rudeness and Amanda certainly didn't think herself to be better than anyone here...she was just shy in the new environment. She often kept to herself and enjoyed observing the other students. Some were entertaining and others seemed too tense.

As she took a sip of water she heard one kid ask about the armored titan. She glanced at Erin. She had only herd rumors of his story and how determined he was to fight.

Jean moved the food that was on his plate back and forth as he rested his head on his arm. He listened as everyone crowded around Erin. He just had to make it through the next few years amd he would have the good life. It was people like Erin who he couldnt stand. Jean thouvht he was just a show off who thinks he jas nothing to loose. He would show him...

Jean rolled his eyes and looked at the girl sitting across from him. "what a show off. He wouldntast two seconds outside the walls .." jean took another sip of his drink. "what's the point anyway..." he mummbled. He watched the girl as his ears stayed alert to what Erin was saying.

"what are you joining?" he asked her with a frown. He wasn't acquainted with a lot of his pears and Jean tried to make small talk, attempting to avoid Erin's stupidity.

"Mind if I sit here?" Krista asked Amanda, head tilted to the side as she waited for the girl's answer. Every where else in the mess hall seemed to be taken.

The blonde girl followed Amanda's gaze to the crowd around Eren, giving a small sigh. "It must be hard on him . . . " she said in a low tone.

The audience around Eren were hanging on the edge of their seats, faces grim with the events that Eren was telling them--the events that took place at his home. This wasn't the first time he told of these events. It was rather hard to talk about to be honest. Eren felt a lump form in his throat as images of the destruction that happened at the Shiganshina district. The hands at his lap balled into fists, jaw clenching.

From the look Eren was giving, the crowd was quick to slowly disperse. He was thankful for it, but felt the heavy feeling he always felt when retelling the story. Armin placed a hand on his shoulder; Eren was quick to shake it off.

"I'll wipe out every titan." Eren declared through clench teeth, his hatred for the monsters as clear as day. Before Eren could utter more words, Mikasa shoved a piece of bread in his face, commanding him to eat since the boy hadn't taken a bite of his own food yet.

Albertina watched the crowd that gathered around Eren, silently eating her dinner while listening closely to what the brunette haired boy had to say. It was good to at least get some details about what they would be up against, right? She never seen a titan before and the description that Eren was giving was all she could go off at the moment.

Her attention turned to the boy that sat across from her--finally noticing that he was talking to her. Staring at him for a moment, Albertina could guess what his reaction would be when he heard her reply; after all that he mumbled about Eren.

"Scouting Legion," she answered, giving a small shrug and turning her attention to the food at her plate. "You?"

The urge to smirk was tempting. If he pressed more, the boy across from her would probably lump her up with Eren. Her reason for joining wasn't as noble as Eren, it was selfish. She was born within Wall Sina, it was practically a must to be selfish among the noble.

Amanda listened as Erin continued. She sighed slightly and dropped her head. "He's been through so much...They all have..." She said quietly. Hearing Erin say he'd wipe them all out caught her attention more so than anything. Finally, someone else who wanted to join the survey corps. She stood not too much longer after Mikasa stuffed Erin's mouth with bread. Sitting down in front of him her voice grew soft. "I'm joining the survey corps too. I'm with you Erin Jager. I will fight the titans too."

Jean rolled his eyes a little. 'Figures' he thought. "Why the survey corps? Do you people have a death wish?" He asked out loud. He looked back at the girl, not understanding why she even wanted to join them. "Aren't you from the inner wall anyway?" He asked curiously. With some people you could just tell they had their whole life handed to them and if he was honest with himself he would admit it made him jealous.

After having his adopted sister force him to at least eat something, Eren turned his attention over to the girl that had joined their table. Hearing that she was just as determined--even if her voice was soft, Eren thought that her words were of determination (though as not much as his)--to fight the titans fired him up. Good, a fellow trainee member was also as dedicated as him to wipe out the titans!

"Nice to see someone shares the same thoughts." Eren said to her, giving a curt nod as well as a appreciated smile.

Leaning slightly on the wooden bench, Eren's full attention was on the girl sitting across from him, interested in her. "What's your name again?"

There were so many names to remember since there were a lot of people in there trainee division number, Eren was still struggling with remembering every face. Armin and Mikasa were silent, though Armin would throw friendly smiles to the girl now and then.

Hearing Jean's question about if she was from within the inner walls, wondering as to why someone so privileged like her was even thinking of joining the Scouting Legion, caused Albertina to raise an eyebrow. She wouldn't go into detail with a person she just started talking to, even if they've been through the hellish training together.

"Just because . . . " came her simple reply along with a shrug of her shoulders. "Does it surprise you that much?"

And of course it would, most people from within the inner walls would be planning on joining the Military Police, a safe spot by guarding the king than risking one's life. She couldn't really also say that she was a thrill seeker either, she already looked like a selfish inner wall citizen anyways; she doesn't need to add more wood to that.

"What do you plan on joining?" Albertina shot the question back to the boy, curiosity written on her features.

Amanda gave a small and reassuring smile. "Amanda." She told him "I'm from wall Rose..." She told him quietly. She watched Erin, admiring his determination. She wondered if his friends felt the same way. "I'm assuming you two are joining the survey corps too?" She asked curiously. Amanda smiled as they nodded and focused her attention back to Erin. "It's nice to know I'm not the only one." Amanda gave a small smile, relieved she wasn't alone. Before training had started she had been worrying about bow many of them would actually join the survey corps as well. After what happened in Shigansina, she couldn't be sure.

"Most of my life I've lived behind closed doors...even here in the walls..." Her voice was soft, as though she was careful who heard her talk.. "
For her, the curiosity of what was outside drove her to joining the survey corps. She leaned in as her voice became even softer than before. "It's not fair that they won't let us go out unless we're part of the scouts. I'm excited to see what's out there...I think it's about time we show the titans what humanity can really do."

Jean rolled his eyes as he heard what her plans were. 'Figures...' he thought to himself. He took a sip from his cup and sat it down before speaking. "I'm joining the military police. 3 meals a day isn't too bad." He said as a matter of factly. The smirk on his vace showed it was something he was proud of, but it faded quickly as he realized what the girl had said. "So you're joining them 'just because'...for no real reason?" His eyes widened in disbelief. There had to be some reason behind her decision. "What a waist." He muttered under his breath. It really was too bad, she was already starting to grown on him...she was kind of cute.

If they made it to the top 10 they could choose any place they wanted. Why would they not choose the obvious choice. This baffled him and he found himself staring at her, genuinely interested or dumbfounded, he wasn't sure. He cleared his throat and looked away from her as he rubbed his neck, a little embarrassed when he realized he was staring at her.

A grin graced Eren's lips from the words that Amanda spoke. It was nice to see that someone else shared his determination as well to see the outside world and exterminate the titans. He and Armin has always dreamed of seeing the outside world in the books the blonde boy had found, from the dazzling pictures of greens and blues that they saw.

"Exactly," Eren agreed with a nod.

"So where did you live?" Armin questioned, just making small chat and to change the conversation away from talking about destroying the titans. They all had enough talk of titans anyways and they should at least get to know a new friend.

Albertina listened to Jean talk about how he would join the Military Police, for the meals and--just a guess she was making--to get away from fighting the titans. Really, someone in Albertina's shoes would go for the Military Police, but . . . she already had delicious meals when she was back home. She wouldn't be experiencing anything new with the Military Police expect protecting royalty and people.

"I have a reason," Albertina sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. "but it's not that important for you to know."

She was silent for a moment, eating her food quietly. After swallowing, she stared at the boy across from her for a moment before the corner of her lips twitched upwards and spoke, "Besides, I would be missing the action if I joined the other groups."

Amanda put down the dirty wrag she had been using to clean up with. Finally she was dinished. If it was one thig she hated doing, cleaning would be it. As she poured out the dirty mop water she looked to the stables and smiled. It was a pretty day and it would be nice to go for a ride but the higher ups probably wouldn't be happy if she just left.

Instead she made her way into the stable and found the stall with her horse. Gently patting it she looked around before pulling out an apple from her bag. "Don't tell anyone, but I brought you this" she said handing it to the animal. As she watched the horse eat she brushed the mane like a pet.

Content with the company of the horse, Amanda brushed out every tangle, becoming lost in her own thoughts.

Jean sighed when he heard her answer. "So I bet you sided with Erin...him and the rest are from Shiganshina. Most of them are talking about joining the survey corps too." Jean's voice hinted some anger as he rolled his eyes. "I don't think I got your name..."

Jean listened to the girl as she mentioned not missing the action. He sized her up pretty well. She wanted to join with the rest of the suicidal maniacs. "I'll bed your from Shigansina as well aren't you..." Jean's eyes shifted to Erin and the others before darting back to the girl infront of him.

"What's the point in fighting them anyway...it's not like thigs are getting any better..." Jean trailed off as he rested his arms on the table.

Since his unite had nothing to do and no orders from Commander Erwin came in, Levi had ordered everyone to clean around the Scouting Legion headquarters. Might as well do something to pass the time, hm? Tugging the cloth that covered his mouth down, Levi admired the work he did in one of the rooms he assigned himself to. As always, it was spotless and acceptable. With a grunt, Levi grabbed his cleaning supplies and headed out to put them away -- as well as to check that everyone was doing their fair share in cleaning.

While this was a good break from all the fighting, Levi couldn't help but feel like a big wave was brewing, waiting in the shadows to crash down upon them. However, he always had that feeling and it was expected when in the Scouting Legion. Nothing he could do anyways, Erwin had yet to come up with a plan or give out an order yet. So, it was the waiting game for now.

Just as he made it to the stalls, he stopped dead in his tracks as he caught sight of someone petting a horse. With an eyebrow raised, Levi watched the woman for a moment before making his presence known to her.

"Have you finished your cleaning responsibilities?" he questioned, eyes narrowed slightly as he waited for her reply -- a snarky remark at the ready if she dared tried to weasel her way out of cleaning. He would just assign her more cleaning chores, possibly have her scrub the floors with her own toothbrush if necessary.

Albertina tilted her head to the side, studying the boy that sat across from her once again. This boy was rather quick to judge, wasn't he? However, she couldn't help a lopsided grin from spreading to her lips at the accusations the boy was making and soon she started to chuckle.

"Didn't you just say I looked to be from within the inner walls?" she remarked, trying to hide her chuckles from behind her hand.

Calming down after a moment, Albertina studied the boy once more, grins and chuckles gone now. Once again, she gave a small shrug to him, not really wanting to reveal her motives for joining the Scouting Legion just yet. "Not all of us have the same mission in mind like Jaeger over there, you know?"

Pushing her plate away when he finished her dinner, Albertina gently wiped her mouth with a napkin. "I don't think I got your name either? Besides, what does it matter anyways? You're not going to see me since I'm 'sided with Eren' and going off to the Scouting Legion." she teased, finding amusement in this conversation.

Amanda jumped at the sound of the uxpected company. Holding her breath for a moment she watched Levi as his eyes narrowed on her. "Of course..." She said feeling her cheeks burn. She wondered if he had found something wrong with her cleaning. "I just thought I would check on the horses."

As she put a hand on the soft fur of the animal a small smile stretched across her face. She wondered how long he had been standing there before he even said anything. Her gaze followed back to Levi as she watched him for a moment in awkward silence.

When he was around it made Amanda feel a bit nervous...her mind raced for something to say but nothing would come to mind. Finally she let out a small sigh. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked curiously, wondering why he came to the stables himself. Amanda grabbed her hair that hung over her shoulder as she brushed through it with her fingers, trying not to seem so nervous.

Jean's eyes widened quickly as he felt his cheeks blush. She was quick on her feet and as Jean's eyes shifted away from her appoligetically he tucked his hand behind his neck. After she pointed out not all of them had the same motive his curiosity peaked.

The girl was interesting and Jean looked up at her finally. "Jean..." He told her as his cheeks still burned. "It's nice to know who I'm traning with I guess..." His voice became low as he tried to find an excuse. He became rather quiet as he rambled on about the Scouting Legion.

Clearing his throat he took a moment to steal a glance at her.

Eyes still narrowed, he let out a small grunt at her excuse before moving to put his cleaning supplies down. Levi did not mind the awkward silence, it was expected since the man was deemed unapproachable by many. He then turned to face Amanda, studying her for a moment before replying to her question.

"No, you did nothing . . ." Surely she would understand his suspicions of her half-assing her cleaning? Or maybe trying to skip out on it since a few have tried (and felt the wraith of Levi once he found out). "Though I would like to inspect what you did in case you did a crappy job."

Levi gestured for the woman to lead the way for him, not remembering what room she was assigned to clean. "Besides," he added, expression devoid of any emotion. "there is still a lot more to clean."

He had to keep everyone busy, of course. Break time was only for eating or going to the can, which they would soon get once the person in charge of cooking and handing out the rations was ready.

"Albertina," she replied back once he gave his name. She rested her cheek on her palm, attention completely focused on Jean. He was quite interesting and amusing as well . . . and maybe cute?

However, that thought quickly left her mind just as it had appeared. She shouldn't think such silly things nor had something as trivial as this distract her from her goal. Though like he said, it would be good to know who she is training with.

"Tell me, Jean," she started, slight curiosity in her eyes. "why do you wanna join the Military Police? Besides the three meals a day thing. Ya know, since you've asked me for many questions, I'll be nosy as well."

Nothing wrong with returning the favor, right?

((OOC: wow, seriously sorry for such the short replies and also for if I ever change colors? It's kind of hard to remember what colors I used ;;;;;;; ))

Amanda cursed herself in her head for glossing over the fact that Levi would have wanted to check her work. Though she was confident enough in her work being done right the first time she still wondered what Levi would say about it. Especially since she had been caught in the stables. It was a place she wondered off to often and this had been the first time she'd been seen. As levi offered her to take the lead she sat the brush down and gave her horse one last pat.

She groaned a little at the thought of more cleaning. At times she couldn't decide which was worse, all the cleaning or fighting the titans.

As she lead Levi down the hallway and into a room she held out her hand. "The mess hall is clean and ready for the next meal...also all of the kitchen supplies have been washed and put away as well as the stove prepared for cooking...I have also cleaned my own quarters as well as the showers and the hallway has been swept and mopped."

As she went through the list she didn't spare any details on what she cleaned, glancing at the captain every now an then to reassure herself that she wouldn't face his punishment if anything wasn't to his standards, though it was hard to tell with Levi.

Amanda straightened her posture as she waited for his response anxiously. "Sir?" She said a little impatiently. "I, I was hoping if that was all I might take the horse out of the stall for a while to exercise?.." Her voice was almost timid, afraid to ask the question as she almost avoided any eye contact. "Perhaps...you would like to join me?"

As awkward as it would be she felt that if maybe by some chance she asked the captain to accompany her he might be more likely to allow it. As she held her breath waiting for the answer she watched him carefully.

"Albertina..." Jean repeated quietly. It was a pretty name for a pretty girl. He smiled softly as he watched her place her cheek in her hand. His attention was quickly brought back to reality as she spoke again, inquiring why he wanted to join the Military Police. He stuttered a bit, searching for the right words. For a moment he even considered joining the Scouts, just so he could be close to her but quickly shook the idea away. He wasn't stupid. He didn't want to die...

"Uhh, well..." He put his hand behind his head and looked away from her, embarrassed that he couldn't find a better answer other than not having a death wish. "I..."

Jean just couldn't get the words out and the more he stumbled over them the more embarrassed he became. "It's safe you know....We're just fine inside the walls so why even bother with it....I'd rather live a long and happy life as opposed to being titan food..."

Jean cursed himself for sounding so stupid. If she was anything like Eren, she probably thought of him as a lazy coward. A part of him was saddened by the fact that she might think that and as he studied her face his mind once again became lost in her gaze. He stiffened up and looked away from her a bit angry with himself.

As he sipped on his drink he sighed and finally turned his attention back to her, wondering what else there was about her. The silence between them seemed to grow as Jean wondered what to say next.

"Tomorrow is sparring right?" He asked even though he knew the answer. "What do you say we partner up? Maybe I could show you a few things..." A grin etched on his face as he waited for her to answer. A ping of confidence as he hoped she would accept. If he wouldn't see her after their training he would very much like to spend as much time with her as he could.

Levi followed Amanda, expression indifferent as ever as he waited to see the rooms she cleaned. He stopped right by the door way of the room she cleaned, surveying the mess hall; arms crossed over his chest. Stepping into the spacious room, Levi ran his pointer-finger over on a nearby windowsill, inspecting the tip of the finger and was pleased to find not a speck of dust. Next he looked towards the kitchen, doing the same procedure he did to the windowsill on a counter and some pots. Again, spotless.

"I'm at awe, Cadet," Levi praised, however his expression looked far from the hint of satisfaction in his voice. "Good to see that someone is sufficient at cleaning than half-assing it."

He walked by her albeit paused when he heard her offer. Levi looked to Amanda over his shoulder; studied her for a moment before giving his reply.

"No, I have to inspect the others that are on cleaning duty." It might have been a harsh way to decline an offer, but Levi was never one to sugar coat things. Though -- aside from his team -- this was a first for some to offer that he himself should join."Also, Hange needs some help with filing. Seeing as that you're free at the moment, she could use your assistance."

And with that, Levi turned and left the room.

【Aʟʙᴇʀᴛɪɴᴀ】

Listening to Jean's reason, Albertina was rather understandable about it. Who wouldn't want to feel safe and everyone had a different view on things. So, she gave a small nod to this and let out a small sigh. "That's understandable . . . " she replied, voicing her thoughts out loud to him.

A long and happy life, huh? She had a lot of that when she was behind Wall Sina, well . . . it was somewhat happy. She was lost in thought for a moment -- expression distant -- only to blink when brought back down to reality by Jean's offer. An eyebrow lifted and the corners of her lips faintly tugged upward in amusement.

"Hm, I suppose . . . all right," she agreed, standing up from her seat and gathering her dirty plate right when Shadis walked in, announcing that it was late. "See you tomorrow, Jean."

She walked away from the table, disposing her plate into a bin before heading with the other girls to bed.

Amanda played with a strand of her hair as she watched the Captain. His expression didn't change and for a moment she worried if she had upset him. "Perhaps another time then...." She said as she watched him leave. She let out a sigh in relief he didn't assign her more cleaning.

As Amanda made her way to meet Hange she couldn't help thinking of her encounter. As she kicked on the door and entered the room she found Hange piled with files.

"Captain Levi said you needed help with filing..." She said quietly, hoping she would go on another titan rant. "Is there anything I can do?"

Amanda helped file things away as she listened to Hange's experiment stories, barely getting a word in for herself.

Jean smiled at the girl before telling her goodnight and leaving to his own bed. The next day would be an interesting day and he was very much looking forward to it. As he pulled the covers over himself he tucked his hands behind his head as he mulled over the day. Soon he fell asleep thinking about the girl he meet.

The next day Jean woke to the bright sun shining in his face. As he quickly got dressed he made his way to the training grounds to find Albertina.

As he scanned the grounds for the girl he couldn't help but grin when he finally spotted her. He walked up to her confidently as he called her name. "Albertina!" He waived as he went up to her. "Are you ready for today?" He asked trying not to sound too excited.
"Don't expect me to hold back..." He warned with a smirk across his face.
