Worry crossed her expression as her gaze fell forward. After all of these years, why was it now that these devils were targeting her for knowing Blaze? Why hadn't something like this happened long before? This man was informed, it didn't take much to tell. She had little doubt in his words.

Still, it left her mind whirling.

In her worrisome trek, Lexia had glanced about. She double took, her gaze lifting higher at the sign above them that read Devil May Cry. She'd never seen this place before. Than again, she hadn't taken to walking this part of the city either.

Lexia didn't get time to ponder any further on the matter. She ducked as air rushed above her, a devil rushing toward the shop. The door slammed over, the devil screaming in pain as it had been quickly halted.

"You're not damaging my shop this time, dammit!" A males voice rang out.

Lexia lifted her gaze, finding a man mostly dressed in reds and blacks, a long coat tailing behind in. Like the man beside her, his hair was snowy white. He gazed down at her for a brief moment, a hard frown on his face.

"You wouldn't happen to be mute, would you?"

Lexia blinked at the inquiry, nodding her head slightly. The confirmation seemed to make the man beam. He stuck his head back inside the shop for a brief moment, shouting to an unknown person. "Found your friend, sweetheart!"

Lexia was left in a blur of confusion. She didn't have time to think much less ask a question. After the first devil attacked and had been easily killed, others started drawing closer. She shifted, unsure of the entire situation, clutching her notebook to her chest.

Blaze was on her feet, a dagger in hand that had been strapped over her boot. She had been startled by the loud bang of the doorway but otherwise seemed unfazed. She hung back, watching for an opportunity. She didn't have her firearms and was at a disadvantage with the scythe-wielding demons.

She blinked at Dante's words, however, as he stuck his head back in.

Blaze made her way to his side, keeping an eye out for more demons. No doubt there were more. In fact she could already spy them emerging from their hiding places.

"Well, we'll just have to have a reunion party later."

Vergil scoffed. He should have known his brother had set up shop in this area of the city again. Already he was unsheathing Yamato. It looked as if his brother was not to be his opponent for the time being. A shame, really.

"Enough talk," he snapped, the blade of his sword flashing in the light. "We have some uninvited guests to deal with."

His eyes flashed to his brother, catching Dante's gaze. It looked like it was going to be quite a conversation once the battle was over with. Already the woman that had emerged from Dante's shop was striding forward, a dagger held skillfully in her hand as she began to circle about a demon.

Vergil slashed outwards as one tried to get at the blonde woman. She seemed stunned at the appearance of the other female. He paid it no mind. Instead he pulled Yamato back a demon was already dissolving into ash, the scythe it wielded clattering to the ground.

"Now would not be the time to stand and gawk if I were you."

Blaze made short work of the devil before her as it engaged her. She'd kick at it, reaching up higher than most could be able to before stabbing out when she had an opening. She had to duck and weave about the blade of the scythe as she did so until it was just a pile of ash.

She found herself content knowing that she was not alone. Blaze wouldn't find herself swamped and already she could hear Dante firing at another pair of demons nearby.

Lexia's brows furrowed at his voice but tried to pay little mind to the comment. It wasn't like she could fight, not like the three of them. Before she had a chance to try and duck out of their way, she was tugged back by her jacket.

"Come'er runt," Dante pulled the shorter woman in blue backward. She nearly lost her footing but managed to regain it when she was at his side.

Dante slashed upward with Rebellion, taking out a devil quickly. It's body crumbled to ash, leaving nothing but blood and it's weapon behind. His grin seemed to widen, keeping a hold on Lexia's coat.

It wasn't like she was faring too well in the fray anyways. The least he could do was pull her away from it.

Making sure she remained at his side, he tugged Ebony and Ivory out again, shooting at a few lingering devils. Most of them were rather low leveled. He could assume that whoever had sent them heavily under estimated who they would run into.

Dante still had no inkling why his brother was here, after all, or why he had been keeping Lexia at his side. He couldn't recall a time he took interest in human's unless it was absolutely needed.

Lexia covered her ears as the man in red fired at the devil's. She had never cared for loud noises such as this but didn't complain this. Her worries were more on herself, being the least capable.

It seemed the devils chose to keep their eyes on those who could fight and especially on that of Blaze. Her friend was keeping toe to toe with them however. She'd been made for this life, one way or another.

Lexia now knew however what the dangers of this life really were.

Blaze spun out and away from a devil's scythe, the blue-clad twin of Dante's sliding forward and impaling it easily. This left her to stab her dagger into the skull of one of the few remaining demons. It was a surprisingly quick clean up though Blaze had honestly been expecting a tougher crowd.

Turning she lifted her heal up, slipping the dagger back into the holster before she strode up to Dante and Lexia.

She stopped, placing her hands on her hips. "Well, hadn't expected my luck to hold out but it looks like that's one less worry we've got to deal with."

Vergil watched from afar, sheathing Yamato yet again once the blade was cleaned of all demon blood. He had been hoping for more of a challenge though he couldn't complain.

He couldn't believe his own luck. Here they had stumbled upon the very woman that had drawn the eye of demons and some unknown group of people that would track her so diligently. Though he could catch the confused glimpse on his brother's face at his own presence.

Vergil remained silent, listening in. Perhaps if he stuck around he could find something new out.

A little part of him detested this idea. His brother had a habit of driving him up a wall. Would this Maddigan woman be any different?

Dante holstered Ebony and Ivory after everything seemed to quiet down. It wasn't much of a fight but part of him hadn't been surprised. They were following Lexia. Given how she reacted to the fight, no doubt, whoever had them tailing her didn't believe there would be much of a challenge.

He was surprised, however, when he went to open his mouth to speak up. The female beside him had reached for the nearest object she could find, that being a trash can lid, and sent the thing sailing at Blaze's head.

Blaze ducked out of the way just in time, the lib clattering to the ground behind her. Dante blinked at Lexia, trying to suppress any form of laughter.

She couldn't very well yell about her frustrations so she just blew up and threw things at the offender. Despite her appearance, it seemed she had some fight in her, when she was angry.

Lexia crossed her arms over her chest, her notepad pressed against her tightly. She averted her gaze from Blaze, well aware that the woman would know she was angry and upset with her.

She hadn't sent her any word through the few years that she'd up and disappeared. Up to this point, Lexia had allowed herself to believe her friend dead. Here she was, well and good. Lexia had never caught wind of it and she felt rather dejected because of that.

Despite her appearance, she had an explosive temper with things like this. After the years that had passed, she felt all but forgotten by Blaze. She knew it was an irrational thought. Still, she couldn't help a part of her being a little miffed by it all.

"You're runt has spunk." Dante stated aloud, ruffling the woman's hair hard. She slapped his hand away, straightening the hat on her head.

Dante wasn't sure who he had spoken that too. His brother or Blaze. He assumed a little of both. The matter of his brother being here in the first place unnerved him a tad but he didn't let it show.

"So," He turned his attention toward Vergil. "How've ya been?"

Dante couldn't help but smirk at his twin. He hadn't changed since the last he'd seen him; the last time they had found. Dante had spent several years believing he'd never see his brother again, yet, here he was.

Part of him hadn't been surprised. Hell and back? That wouldn't have kill the man so easily.

Blaze glanced back at the trash can lid where it had bounced and then clattered to a stop before raising a brow at Lexia. It wasn't an unexpected reaction in fact Blaze had been banking on something more violent.

"Well, alright then," she answered, turning away to view the man that had accompanied Lexia. It was easy to see the similarities between he and Dante though their differences helped to set them apart at a glance.

Lexia was angry with her and while she could see why Blaze saw no need in trying to quell it. A little anger livened things up every so often.

Vergil eyed his brother, gaze icy as it always was.

"I would like to think that I have fared better."

From what he could see Dante was as he always was. Not much had changed over the years, things still remained the same between the brothers.

Vergil spared a glance up at the two women, noting that the blonde was very much agitated by the entire situation. He scoffed at this. She should just count her lucky stars that she was uninjured.

"Well, it looks like it really is one big reunion. Better order some pizza," the Maddigan woman called out, arms over her chest as she nodded sideways at the two. Her gaze turned mischievous as she glanced at Dante. "Oh, wait, you can't yet, can you?"

He turned back to Dante.

"It seems you've troubles of your own," he jested.

Dante frowned as Blaze brought up his 'situation' openly in attempts to taunt him. He ruffled his own hair, turning away from Lexia. "Shut up," he finally scoffed. "Both of you."

Dante jerked a thumb toward the shop doors. "Better head back in before we're interrupted again."

He would have liked to discuss everything that was going on in some form of peace for once. He couldn't be sure his brother would follow and given Lexia's soured mood, there was no telling what she might do.

Dante figured she may stick around despite her frustrations.

Lexia puffed out a small sigh, trying to reign in her anger. It still throbbed in her heart, leaving her in a soured mood. She knew Blaze was used to this kind of thing by this point. Part of her had hoped for something more of a reaction however.

She tugged the hat off her head, unsure of what to do. As she fixed her hair this other had messed up ruffling it, she shot a glance at his back when he moved back inside.

Lexia watched the one in blue for a brief moment, wondering what he might do. He looked none too pleased with the entire situation nor being in the presence of this other.

She still didn't know his name. Perhaps that was a good thing. He didn't seem too intent on getting close to others, as far as she could tell. Lexia shuffled a little before following inside.

If they were going to talk, she could at least listen, get filled in on what she was missing out on; why she had suddenly been thrown into all of this.

Blaze chuckled at the answer she received. She shook her head, allowing her arms to drop to her sides as he turned to Lexia. Striding toward her she placed a hand on her shoulder, steering her into Devil May Cry. Blaze couldn't very well leave her out in the open.

She spared a glance to Dante's sibling, noting how he looked a little resentful to have to enter the shop. But follow he did.

Inside their footsteps resounded loudly in the large, sparse room. Blaze let her hand slip from Lexia's shoulder, stepping away from her.

"So, lay 'em on me. What questions do you have?"

Vergil was quick to follow through on that request, keeping a fair amount of distance between himself and the others. He tossed a distasteful glance about his new surroundings. He was never certain as to how Dante could live like this.

"Why have you been targeted?"

The woman pointed at him, sliding something off of the desk and tossing it his way. It was a simple thing to catch. Vergil eyed it, the medallion unfamiliar to him.

"I'm the littlest sacrifice," the hunter explained simply. "Anything more is unknown."

He scoffed at this. There had to be more information, they just needed to find it. He spared the mute woman a discreet glance, gauging her reactions.

Dante scoffed as Blaze seemed to be making herself at home quite easily. He watched the pair and his brother reaction. He gave a shrug of his shoulder.

"May dig something up on them later," He jerked a thumb toward Lexia. "As soon as I let Morrison know one little mystery's been solved."

He took note of Lexia shifting her weight, her gaze moving about, taking everything in as carefully as she could manage. He shook his head at this. It wasn't like there was much to be impressed by in his standards. Though, it might have been a different story for her.

Dante shot Vergil a look. "What's with you and the runt here?" He didn't spare a glance at Lexia as she shot him another look. "Not like you to take interest in people."

Despite their differences, Dante did know his twin rather well to gauge when something was out of the ordinary. He might have simply been using the girl to his own advantage.

Lexia shuffled her weight, listening in on the conversation. She didn't feel the need to add to it. Lexia was used to this kind of thing, growing accustom to simply listening into the conversation.

Her stomach turned as she shot Blaze a glance at the mention of being used as a sacrifice. So that was what this was all about. It didn't take a genius to put the dots together.

Some group was looking for her, they sent devils to take Lexia and draw her out. It was a simple plan but one that would be efficient. It hadn't been a secret that Blaze was protective if her.

Lexia gnawed at her lip, fighting to keep herself from all but pacing. She had several nervous habits. Pacing was one of the worst at times. Lexia tried to put her mind at ease but it began to ache with the effort.

"You could say I've grown intrigued as to the situation," Vergil answered simply, catching Dante's eye.

Humans were not something that often intrigued him but the nature to which this was playing out was. A part of him was disgusted about this fact.

Vergil toyed with the medallion, spinning it around in his fingers. The metal was cool to the touch but was quickly warming where he held it longer.

"Besides, depending on what this group of yours has planned it could be disastrous to both of us."

Blaze waited, gauging the conversation and possibility hostility on either side for the brothers. It seemed to be going well enough that Blaze didn't see fit to wait for some kind of a fight to break out.

"That's all fine and dandy," she spoke up glancing between the two. "But it looks like none of us have any new leads that will help any of us."

She allowed this to sink in, silence following for a moment. Blaze was well aware that Lexia was listening in, as she always had. Just from this alone Blaze was able to tell that the other woman had not changed much over all the years that had passed.

Blaze, however, had. Perhaps not in many immediately noticeable ways but it had happened. In her line of work it was inevitable.

She briefly wondered how Lexia would take the new change after so long. The thought was shaken away as quickly as it came. Now wasn't the time.

"Yes," Vergil relented, eyeing the brunette. "It would seem we are all at square one."

Dante scoffed a little. He would have guessed that was Vergil's intention. Simply taking note of the situation. Part of him hated him for that fact. Even if the mute woman hadn't been so heavily involved, his twin wouldn't have stuck out his neck for her unless he had to.

At this point, she was more of a liability to him than anything.

That was where he and Dante were drastically different. Despite acting like he did, Dante did care; just in his own way. Most didn't realize it and gave him a wide birth.

Dante grunted in a silent response. "Just my luck." he muttered to himself, shaking his head slightly.

He'd have figured Vergil would have at least dug up something over the time but even he had nothing. Lexia seemed oblivious to the entire situation, only merely being dragged in through circumstance. The actual victim knew next to nothing either.

So where to start? Dante wasn't sure.

He shot a glance at Lexia. She seemed to be fighting off whatever thoughts were plaguing her mind. He could tell she was a worrisome type right away; not cut out of this kind of thing. He made note to keep an eye on her just in case.

"So...This lovely party here has no idea what's what." He attempted to jest, shifting his weight, he shrugged his shoulders lightly. "Any idea where to start?"

Dante certainly didn't know more than any one of them, it seemed. If they couldn't even get information on these people, being so direct than who was to say outside sources would.

It was easy to hide a cult nowadays, given the time and effort. One simply needed to know how to go about it and clearly, these people did.

Lexia placed her finger tips on her forehead, closing her eyes for a moment. The throbbing in her head wasn't getting any less painful. The conversation seemed to be going no where. She hadn't learned anything more than she was already informed of.

She had to wonder what she had done in the past to get her pulled into all of this. Had she done something so bad that it had to come around and bite her now?

Lexia was beginning to believe that to be true.

She couldn't very well just leave either; ignore the problem. It would leave her out in the open, easy to get snatched up or killed. Lexia figured Blaze wouldn't allow this.

Silently, she found herself a little shaken by the new persona the woman was portraying as well. She figured she would have changed but not this much. Part of her had to wonder if she had been left behind in the time they hadn't seen each other; if there was still a friendship there.

The Blaze she had known would have all but tackled her when given the chance. Something so small meant so much and now that it wasn't a form of reaction from her, she found herself a little hollow.

Lexia had never been one to deal with these kinds of feelings well, never cared to be left behind or pushed away. She wondered where she stood in all of this what would happen next. What was more, if she even knew Blaze to be the person she was anymore.

These thoughts sent her mind whirling and would not calm. Only a few more things to throw onto a heap of worries and frustrations.

It was turning out to be a fine day.

"Well," Blaze spoke up, glancing over at Dante as she leaned against his desk. "We can start by finding my truck. I still need my firearms."

She twisted around, searching out for a scrap of paper and something to write with. She settled for an old pizza receipt, jotting down the license plate number. It was a must anymore when she was out on the job to recall the number so that she could locate it later if it got lost, stolen or if something like this happened.

Blaze held the paper out to Dante. He had connections in the city, it seemed. Blaze didn't even have her phone on her for the contact numbers of her own informants.

Vergil kept a careful watch on those in the room. When Maddigan had her back turned Vergil kept watch on the other woman. She seemed dejected, perhaps even a little distraught by the things happening around her. Vergil didn't dwell too much on it.

"Perhaps knowing where this sacrifice of theirs was to take place might be an excellent start."

He looked pointedly at Blaze as he said this. She caught his gaze evenly.

"That would be a lovely idea except that I was in such a rush to get out I didn't exactly stop to ask directions, handsome."

Vergil sniffed at the attitude. He found it rather uncalled for, really, though he remained quiet on the issue.

"I think our biggest issue now would be Lexia," Blaze continued gesturing to the mute woman. It was obvious to all that she wasn't a fighter, had no interest or knowledge in it. Lexia would be unable to protect herself for any serious duration of time.

"Any suggestions?"

Dante took the piece of paper from her. At least that gave him somewhere to start. He'd contact Morrison again given the chance. At the moment, it seemed Blaze was putting focus on other places.

Lexia seemed none too pleased by it either.

Dante wasn't sure what to tell Blaze at this point. Vergil wasn't the type to play 'body guard' of sorts and given that he was here now, dealing with the entire dilemma directly, there would be little chance he'd protect her unless it was completely necessary.

He tapped an index finger on his holster, mulling over their options.

"I'm already playing body guard," He stated a loud with a shrug. "What's one more?"

Dante knew he'd have an easier chance on keeping tabs on Lexia than he would for Blaze. At least Blaze was able to defend herself. Lexia had no inkling on how that worked, it seemed, and was left rather helpless.

Think on it more, it wasn't like she could scream for help if something came about to harm her. Keeping her close would be their best option.

Lexia opened her eyes, brows furrowing that the words she'd just heard. She shook her head, raising a hand slightly as if to try and dismiss the words. She very well knew her position, they all did. She didn't need to be remained of it much less simply be written off as an 'issue'.

Lexia quickly averted her gaze afterward, finding she wasn't so sure meeting up with Blaze now as the best thing or not. Given any other day, normal circumstance, less of an attitude if anything else, Lexia might have had the patience to deal with it.

Vergil waited, quietly, for the two to talk what they needed to plan out. Things such as this didn't concern him. Now that he had found the female hunter he didn't need to preoccupy himself with protecting this Lexia until they found her.

He spared a glance towards Lexia. Despite having run into her old friend it didn't seem as if she was too happy about it. No doubt the Maddigan woman had changed over time. Perhaps that was what had Lexia so aggravated.

Vergil sniffed at this. She should have expected as such.

"Well then, if we're all in agreement with this set up...."

Blaze stopped, glancing about at the other three. Dante was obviously alright with it, he had suggested the last course of action after all. Vergil didn't look as if he cared at all but it was Lexia who seemed dejected at the proceedings.

She was eager to find her belongings again. When she had those she would feel more at ease. On top of that she would be able to call her own informants if her phone was still in tact.

Dante tapped his finger against his holster again. Everything fell silent now. There wasn't much conversation. It wasn't like Lexia could butt into it anyways. He rubbed the back of his neck at that. She should have had a choice in the matter, even if it meant risking herself just to wander off.

He motioned to Lexia. "You alright with all of this?" He inquired. The least he could do was make sure. He wouldn't very well force her to stay if she didn't want to.

Dante only received a glance and a scoff in reply. She was quick to avert her gaze again. This left him ruffling his hair.

"Guess I'll take that as a 'yes'."

For whatever reason, the woman was reminding him more of his twin. Maybe it was simple coincidence the two showed up; there was no telling. Part of it bugged him however. Another person like Vergil running around wasn't what he needed.

At least this woman seemed to show a little more compassion.

Dante moved toward his desk, picking up his heel and slamming it down onto it just hard enough to make the telephone fly into the air. He caught it mid air, smirking as he did so. The man was inclined to show of once in a while.

He'd make quick work in speaking with Morrison over the phone, leaving the others to their own devices.

Blaze rolled her eyes at Dante showing off. He seemed rather proud of himself though everyone else in the room was left less than impressed. As he spoke on the phone, Blaze took to observing Lexia and this brother of Dante's.

Lexia seemed agitated, still. Blaze wasn't surprised by this. She still dressed in her favorite color - blue. The only thing not matching the cool color scheme being the old goggles Blaze had given her before she split years ago. That surprised her. She hadn't expected her to keep them, much less wear them.

Her gaze traveled to Vergil, picking out the differences between he and Dante. Dressing in blue and keeping his hair slicked back out of his face were the key differences in appearance. Personality-wise he seemed much colder, more put off by others.

She frowned. She was seeing an awful lot of this man's personality reflecting in Lexia as well.

Vergil caught the Maddigan woman's gaze evenly, watching her as she observed him. He took the time to do the same, noting that, in a way, she reminded him of his brother. He scowled a little more at that fact. The last thing he needed was two of them running about.

He sniffed, stowing Yamato away under his coat so that he could walk more freely out in the streets.

"If that is all that is being discussed I will take my leave," he answered, flashing a look to his brother. Dante was still on the phone with this Morrison man.

He turned, allowing himself out of the shop. If anyone spared him a glance as he left Vergil spared it no mind. He would return later, if only to hear what they found out about this Order of theirs. If he had any information it might prove to rile Dante up a little if he rubbed it in his face a little.

Lexia watched the man in blue leave. She hadn't gotten his name much less gave her own. He didn't seem interested. Part of her knew that much; he had made it clear. The other half was a little miffed about the blatant rudeness.

When he had finally gone, she adopted pacing. She didn't know why she had denied herself the nervous act; perhaps it was simply because he seemed to voice his annoyance earlier. Lexia wasn't sure.

She needed a quiet place, secluded, to think. Lexia knew that she would not be able to indulge in that for a time. With these demon's targeting her to get to Blaze, she wouldn't be able to leave.

This left her feeling rather unsettled.

Dante barely spared his brother any form of thought as he conversed with Morrison. It was a quick thing and by the time he had finished up, Vergil had taken off. He noted Lexia pacing back and forth, the notepad clutched against her chest.

"She always do this?" He inquired toward Blaze.

Blaze knew the woman best after all. Watching her was making him a tad dizzy but she seemed intent on keeping this up, lost in her own thoughts. He rubbed the back of his neck, leaning against the desk.

"This is just great," He muttered to himself.

He would have never guessed his brother would have shown up again, much less with this woman who seemed so worried, she might fall a part at any moment. Than there was Blaze herself. He shook his head. This was all turning into quite an event.

"When she's riled up enough," Blaze answered, inclining her head just enough to indicate that she was answering Dante.

She watched Lexia pace, back and forth... back and forth.... Blaze wouldn't interrupted her. It would be best to let her pace, to work her thoughts out as long as she needed to.

Feeling her stomach rumble a little, she turned to Dante. "You wouldn't happen to actually have any food tucked away would you?"

Blaze had the nagging feeling that this was not the case. He didn't seem the type to cook for himself. Her intel had told her that he often resorted to just ordering pizza, rarely anything was changed with this routine. If that was the case Blaze might very well have to wait until her things were found - if they were still in tact - before she managed to get any sort of food.

She ignored his grumbling. Dante had a lot on his plate for the time being, even Blaze was aware of that. What had been a lazy day had been turned upside down for him in a short amount of time.

Dante hummed slightly in response. It seemed Lexia needed to think as far as he knew. He didn't disturb it. Turning his attention on what Blaze said, he scoffed.

"I could have ordered pizza," He responded flatly. "But you had to block me out of that."

She wouldn't be able to expect much out of him. He felt she shouldn't have been surprised either. Given his track record, he had no doubt she knew about his issues with money.

Lexia had heard the pair converse briefly but she tried to block it out. It wasn't until Blaze made mention of food did she actually pause, allowing herself to listen.

She scowled a little at what she was hearing. The man who was now going to protect her couldn't even keep himself fed. Part of her was wondering if she would have fared better with the one in blue.

She dug into her coat pocket and grabbed her wallet before she walked over and handed it to Blaze. She didn't trust this one with her money at this point.

It wasn't until Blaze took it did she begin to write out a message for the other to read.

'What's your name?'

Dante was a little surprised that Lexia had gone about giving up her wallet to ensure they would eat that night. He didn't find himself minding skipping a meal at times. It was normal.

He blinked at the question, finding it a tad different to converse through her written words.

"Dante," he answered simply, watching as she scribbled another message on her note pad.

'And the other ones name?'

Dante scoffed at the next words written. "He didn't even give you his name? Did he ask for yours?"

As Lexia shook her head, Dante ruffled his white hair, heaving a heavy sigh. It was just like Vergil not to allow any form of attachment grow. His twin refused to reach out to humans.

"His names Vergil." He finally answered, letting his hand fall back to his side. He grunted a little. "Guy sure knows how to charm a lady," he retorted disdainfully.

Lexia shifted her weight slightly, finding no other questions coming to mind to ask. She didn't very well feel the need to converse with Blaze at the moment. She'd wait until she cooled down and hope that these emotions wouldn't rile up in her again.

Still, she knew better. Despite her calm attitude at times, she knew anger could well up in her fast and boil over. The only difference was she had to bottle up more of that anger until she could allow herself to flush it out in her own ways.

Blaze shrugged at his rebuttal, looking very much unapologetic for locking out his pizza tab. It wasn't her fault that Dante refused to call up other pizza joints.

"Hey, you're the one who wouldn't believe me when I said I have a big pay off at the end. Which, by the way, I do."

Her smile slipped as Lexia stepped forward, thrusting her wallet into her hand. Blaze stared down at it as if not knowing anything as to the item in her hand. She glanced up from the wallet to Lexia once Dante spoke up, answering her question jotted down on that tablet.

Blaze stood by, to the side, unsure. She didn't feel right about using Lexia's money after all this time. No matter how long she stared Lexia did not glance back at her, did not give her an answer.

Finally she turned to Dante again, pushing up from the desk and making her way towards him. Without answering his questioning glance she took the black firearm from him, stepping out of his reach and inclining her head to the side.

"I'mma borrow this while I go get us food," she answered simply.

No matter what Dante said or did she would hurry out of the shop with his firearm to defend herself more reliably if she was caught by demons. It wouldn't take her too long before she would be back, two pizzas in hand though she would wonder how Lexia and Dante were getting on in her absence.

Dante had barely made a lunge for Ebony. He'd trust her with the weapon for now. The woman seemed capable enough. Still, he had to wonder what might happen if she let her guard down. There was no telling what might be lurking out there.

This left him in an awkward silence with Lexia, not that she was able to do much about it. He scratched his cheek slightly, feeling uncomfortable in the woman's presence. If she was uncomfortable, she didn't really show it. The worry on her face masked any other emotion he could have read off of her.

Finally, he tried to pass the silence. "For friends, you two don't act like it,"

He received another scoff in response, a dejected expression crossing her face. This left him in a more awkward state. He wasn't used to dealing with women like this. The ones he knew were always rather blunt.

"If she's changed, you should expect it. Demon hunting isn't an easy job."

Lexia remained as silent as a mouse, not even moving her notepad to scratch out some form of writing for him. He ruffled his hair again.

"You're a carbon cut out of my brother, alright." He noted, moving around the desk. He sat back in his chair, leaning back and propping his heels on the desk top once again. "Just...a girl and worries more."

Lexia shot a look at him but otherwise left it be. He smirked at it however. At least he'd gotten some rise out of her.

In the time it took for Blaze to get back, Dante had settled himself in his chair again, eyes closed but listening. He could hear Lexia wandering about the shop and left her to her own thing. If what Blaze said was true, she had some sorting out to do on her own. He'd leave her to it and relax a little himself.

Blaze had to balance the two boxes of pizza in one arm while she tugged open Devil May Cry's door with her other hand. She slipped in easily after, allowing the door to swing shut behind her. Blaze ignored the silence that had settled in the shop after she had left.

Her footsteps were just as heavy sounding on the floors as they had been before, much to her detest. She slide the pizza on the desk before moving around it to properly holster the firearm that she had borrowed without a word.

With that done she tugged out Lexia's wallet, tossing it to her as she dug out the change and receipt.

"Here," she said, holding out the items once she was close enough. Lexia looked a little agitated at having her item thrown at her.

Blaze was quick to turn to the pizza, pulling out a piece, to take a bite in.

"If anyone complains about what I picked there's a bitching fee to be paid," she spoke up between bites. "Just a heads up."

Lexia barely caught the wallet in her hand, nearly dropping her notepad in the process. It was a tad inconvenient for her and Blaze very well knew that. She wondered if the woman was miffed by the lack of response Lexia was giving.

She ignored it for a time, stuffing her wallet back into her coat pocket. Her stomach felt no need to eat, her worries and fears quashing any form of hunger she really had. Lexia figured she mind as well force herself if she had to.

She moved toward them again as Dante began poking about the pizza box.

"There are olives on these," he stated in a matter of factly kind of tone.

Lexia rolled her eyes at that, taking a slice for herself and nibbling on the food. She hated it when people were picky over irrational things. She had grown up rather poor and would try any food once. Most she had found she rather liked.

If Blaze was the same person, she'd go about chewing Dante out for that comment. She and Blaze had grown up rather alike. Complaining about food wasn't a thing that took well for either of them at times.

Blaze stopped mid bite, flashing Dante a look at his observation. He was inspecting the pizza slice he had picked warily, as if expecting to jump out and bite him at any moment because of those olive pieces on it.

"Do I have to charge you the ten dollar bitching fee?" she questioned, swallowing her bite.

Even despite this Dante looked hesitant to bite into that piece of pizza. Exasperated at this, Blaze rolled her eyes accompanied by a shake of the head.

"Oh my god, just pick them off and give me them to me, you big baby." She ignored any looks she received for pronouncing baby as 'bah-bee', instead taking another large bite of her own slice.

Blaze spared a discreet glance at Lexia. She was glad that she was eating something. She knew at times she would forego it because of certain circumstances. Even if she was really only nibbling at it, it was better than nothing.

She retained a sigh at this. Over the years Lexia had not changed much where areas Blaze had. No doubt this had Lexia's head spinning a little.

Dante scrunched his nose at her words. The mere suggestion seemed tedious to him. She should have just forgotten the olives all together. How either of the woman could really stand the stuff, he wasn't sure.

He caught a smile on Lexia's lips as Blaze berated him however.

Dante began picking off the olives, letting them fall onto the open pizza box, discarded before he allowed himself to take a bite. If he had to do this to every piece, it would drive him nuts.

"Why did you get olives. What is wrong with you two?" He pressed. "No normal person likes olives."

He paused at that. Given what he had noticed of Lexia, he instantly didn't consider her 'normal' of sorts. She was more normal than others but she was too much like his twin.

"No, never mind," He pointed at the girl in blue. "You're too much like Vergil to be 'normal'." He ignored the look sent in his direction. "And you?" He pointed toward Blaze. "I don't even know. You're just not normal."

Dante had to admit, the air was a little lighter now. That much was a relief. He didn't quite care for tense air. He liked to relax, after all. There was no way he'd get that with all of this worrying and tension about.
