| Taking a leaf out of Oki's page, the rules for this Nuzlocke run are as follows: - Spoiler:
--Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
--The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. If the first encounter in the area is a Double Battle in dark grass, the player may choose which of the two Pokémon they would like to catch.
--While not exactly a definite rule, the general consensus is that players must also nickname all of their Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
--Also not a definite rule, but the general consensus is that a black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
--Strongly implied, though not explicitly mentioned in the comic, is the stipulation that the player can use only Pokémon they have captured themself, meaning traded Pokémon, mystery gifts, etc., are prohibited. Trading and retrading the same Pokémon (for the purpose of evolving a Golem, for example) is something of a gray area, and may fall under optional rules. As of White: Hard-Mode Episode 3, it is implied that the player can accept Pokémon that are received freely from NPCs.
--Also strongly implied is a prohibition against voluntarily resetting and reloading the game when things go wrong. Being able to do so would render all of the other rules pointless.
--NEW No Duplicates Clause; if the trainer runs into a duplicate of a pokémon that was previously caught on another route the trainer may ignore it and catch the next 'new' pokémon that appears in the new route.
This will be updated as I play though it depends on how badly I wish to play Pokémon or if I'm busy with other things in life. Updates may end up being sporadic because of this. | Not gonna lie, I almost had the same problem with Hugh! Though, I didn't get as low as your own Pokemon did, I was getting nervous there.
And now you know how I feel about my not being able to have a Riolu! XD
Ah, but I do hope that your run goes well~. Gonna keep mine up and running here soon~.

| 9/17 THOUGHTS: Just made it to Striaton City after beating Bianca. Picked up my Pansear from the NPC and now I'm already bored. I hate level grinding around this area but I really don't want to lose anyone to Cilan if I don't. Might jump over to White 2 after prepping that up for a Nuzlocke Run though... We'll see how bored I get. | |

| 02.08.2014 Being unable to sleep at all last night, I popped in Black version and started grinding out levels to take on Cilan. While I've made some progress -- battled Cheren at the Trainer School and the two NPCs in the gym -- I'm going to grind a few more levels out before taking him on. The goal is to have Mako and Amber evolved before I get at it, or to have Aina at least at level 14 or 15 to take on his Pansage.
Cheren's battle at the the Trainer School was an easy thing, Aina took out his Purrloin and Snivy easily enough. I've had some close calls with Timon against wild pokémon and need to buff him out a little better or risk losing him before he can show any real potential.

| 02.08.2014 part II I'd cut my plans short a little before tackling Cilan - I evolved Amber and got Aina up to level 14 before hand. Patience run out by that point I'd tried my luck at it and came away with my team still whole. Amber versus Lillipup and Aina versus Pansage left us with minimal damage to my team. With the Trio Badge in my possession I moved to Route 3, saving the Daycare's trainers to level up whatever pokémon I caught.
The first pokémon I encounter on Route 3 was an adorable Purrloin... which Mako then decided to crit-faint rendering Route 3 a bust for me in terms of team additions. I'd moved onto Wellspring Cave, miffed about this, to fight Team Plasma with Cheren. After the grunts were taken care of I captured a Roggenrola which I nicknamed "Banna-Anna". No, I have no idea why I named her that.
Moving past Nacrene City I find myself on the outskirts of Pinwheel Forest, steadily getting Banna-Anna up in the levels. Capturing a Tympole I name him "Froggart". He is promptly lost against a friggin' Youngster trainer and his Roggenrola! Froggart didn't even get a chance to gain any exp!
I'm currently grinding levels out around challenge rock with Mako finally evolving here.
