Back Story: Team Rocket has gone underground, secretly herding Legendary Pokemon; preforming cloning experiments on them to create copies that will do their bidding without complaint. With these Pokemon, they plan on taking control of Kanto and Johto, along with other regions to come.

Trainers, gym leaders, and league members alike do not know that Team Rocket still exists. They had disbanded long before and as such, has little knowledge of their plans. Team Rocket has chosen to blend with everyday people rather than boast about their plans for global take over.

Outsiders who learn of this plan intentionally or by mistake are treated the same way. They are immediately disposed up, facing these clone's wrath, used as test subjects to show the power of the cloned legendaries.

For the unaware, it will be a horrible day to witness when Team Rocket brings their plans to light. For those who know, it's a fight for their lives in a world were very few believe Team Rocket still exists.

Additional Rules

1. Please make a character sheet before you join up in this rp. It helps others understand your characters motives and gives others something to work with rather than just running in blind and hoping that everyone will agree with your character.

2. Like C O R R U P T I O N and Our Destinies, this rp could be rather dark given the situation the characters would be in. I would much prefer it if anyone joining stick with that theme. It really helps flesh out a serious form of not only an rp, but a serious story as well.

3. No Legendaries. At least, not off the bat. This is unfair to other users to use legendary Pokemon when, in this specific rp, most would be captured and or hidden away due to the threats at hand.

4. Rping canon characters is allowed. Whether these be someone else's love interest or simply inserting these characters to help further the story (because the canon character would be heavily involved in this particular rp).

5. Respect your fellow rpers. If they have a love interest, rp that character for them. Don't insult them subtly through your character. Don't ignore them. Don't make them feel left out. If I catch this going on, I will bump you out of the rp.

6. Please make sure you follow the original Role Playing rules, listed out here. They stand just as strong as these rules. Learn them and respect them if you want to stay in this rp.

Oki was perched in a tree, watching the ground cautiously. Since her time spent tracking down the legendary Pokemon, she'd managed to get herself mixed up in something she couldn't quite comprehend. A simple mystery had taken a turn in a situation that could cost her her life.

They were using legendary Pokemon, though, for what reason remained unknown to Oki. Now all she knew was these cut throats were on her trail and wanted her dead.

She didn't like battling, never had. She was far more interested in myths and legends to take much interest in battling. Still, to discover new things, she had needed Pokemon and needed to protect herself. It was one of several reasons she had gathered up her team.

Regardless of the circumstances, she was still stuck. She refused to allow these people to harm her Pokemon. They were using a legendary, after all. She recognized it as a Latios. But there was something wrong with him. He was aggressive and darker in color than a normal Latios would have been.

The Latios had every intention of harming her, never once protesting against the man who was using it. It was distressing information for Oki. She wasn't exactly sure what they had done with this normally peaceful Pokemon.

Oki bit her lip, in attempts to remain unseen and unheard. She could see the man dressed in black just above her, looking this way and that. The odd Latios hovered beside him, his dark gray and blue body continuing to disturb her.

She held her breath for what seemed like hours, waiting for this Pokemon to spot her. Thankfully, neither were thorough enough. The man ordered to continue on, glancing at the Pokemon as he did so.

Oki waited a long time before she slipped out of her hiding place, her heart hammering against her chest. She knew now, something was wrong. Whatever they were doing, it was going to change their world; she could feel it.

One question remained as she took off in a sprint, wanting to get as far away as possible.

Would anyone believe her?

Kelly wandered through the street, wondering where the man had gotten off to now. Or maybe it should have been the other way around? She had been the one to wander off for food without a word as she was apt to do. No doubt she'd get an earful about it when Surge found it. She shrugged that thought off. It was of little concern to her.

Instead the young woman dug into the fast food bag, digging out a greasy bacon cheeseburger and looking far too eager to devour it. The wrapper was tugged off quickly even as she plopped down onto a bench, setting the bag next to her.

She took a large bite of food, her cheek bulging outward as she did so. Kelly gazed around her dark eyes observing the people and Pokemon around her as they went about their lives. Not a single one of them knew about what was going on. Then again that wasn't much of a surprise. Many people didn't poke their noses into business that would allow them to figure it out - if at all.

Kelly nodded her head, debating on tugging out her music player as she waited for the man to find her. She took another overly large bite out of her burger. It was a nice day out. She wondered just what they were doing here anyways.

A trainer had just entered the city by now, a bag strapped over one shoulder. The teen was deep in thought, her gaze seeming to never waver from anything in front of her. Her eyes obscured by the spiral-lensed glasses fixed across her face, she looked around for any sign of a PokeMart.

A thought crossed her mind; still no evidence of strange activity pertaining to the connection between the Legendary Pokemon's sudden migrations and the now seldom heard of Team Rocket. The mere thought of the group made her heart burn with anger, she'd never forgive them for what they did.

She continued to walk through the city, finally spotting the PokeCenter, meaning that she may be close to the PokeMart. She needed medicine if she was going to go after Team Rocket, having no doubts that they were still in operation even now. Upon finding what she was looking for, she grabbed as much medicine and other things she could possibly afford.

"You're a Trainer huh?" the clerk asked as she girl paid for the Potions, "Off to train you Pokemon for a big battle or something?"

"No," she answered simply, "I'm going after Team Rocket."

With that, she took the merchandise and left the store, leaving the clerk behind to think that she was joking. It had been the same routine for awhile now, ever since getting the feeling that Team Rocket was involved with what was happening to the Legendaries.

It wasn't often Oki chose to use her Pokegear. In fact, the device typically went ignored unless she absolutely needed it. That wasn't often to begin with. She used it to contact people in Sinnoh, only in times of emergency. She declared this particular point to be a little above emergency level.

As she wandered through town, clutching the bag she had on slung on her shoulder, she muttered 'Pick up' frantically. Her gaze darted from place to place, her expression contorted in worry. If anyone looked or cared, they would know she was obviously distressed.

She was on a look out. These people had appeared normal to her. When she was isolated, they'd attack. That's how it had been for the past few days. One thing lead to the next. It was obvious she was a target.

Each ring was suspenseful for her. She needed someone to know and the only people she trusted resided in Sinnoh. She knew of no one here. There was no one she could rely on.

She heaved a sigh when she heard the line finally picked up. He was as lazy as ever, neglecting things until the last moment.

Haven't heard from you in a while," Volkner commented through the other line. "What's up? Where are you now?"

"Johto!" She rattled the region name off rather quickly, gazing around her. Anyone could have been a danger to her now and she fully well knew it. "In...some city; I don't know. Not the point; I've gotten myself into some major trouble!"

She listened quietly as those words either sunk in or he had ignored them. It wasn't often Volkner viewed 'trouble' as a major issue or even a bad thing. When she uttered 'trouble', for him, it wasn't that big of a deal.

"And that would be?" He inquired cooly, a yawn in between words cut him off only briefly.

This man was infuriating to Oki sometimes. She could have been seriously injured and he'd still be the calmest one among those she knew. These things never rattled him. She wasn't sure if that was a gift or not. All she knew was it was a curse in her case.

"Could you, you know, not sound entirely bored with the fact that my life is on the line, yea?" She shot back, her own tone becoming thick with sarcasm.

She refused to give him the chance to speak up again; even if he was hesitant to do so in the first place. "Look, I was tracking the legendary Pokemon from one region to the next. It led me here. I stumbled onto something I shouldn't have, I guess. These people were capturing one, I believe it was what legend refers to as Keldeo. Regardless of what type it was, they were attempting to capture it. These were shady people, I should have taken off but I stayed and watched. One of them managed to spot me. That was three days ago. Everywhere I turn, there seems to be someone watching my back, waiting to make a move."

She paused, biting her lip, allowing time for the words to sink in. It wasn't a light matter; she hoped he would understand that.

"That wasn't even the worst part. Each one of these people has held onto a legendary Pokemon. But they look different. Darker in color or strange patterns on their body where there is no documentation of these patterns existing. They're also unusually aggressive and are very willing to attack given someone commands it...So, you can see why I would be liable to freak out, okay?"

Shifting nervously, her gaze danced about again. She waited silently, listening for a break in the other end of the line. He was taking his time, either thinking it over or not at all. It was hard to tell with the man.

"So why not just come home? Besides, it's not uncommon to see someone holding a legendary up their sleeves anymore. Maybe it's just a misunderstanding. "

The words were so hard for her to believe, she wasn't sure what to feel. Rage or disappoint or both; it was an odd feeling. Rage seemed to have been winning however.

"Will you pull yourself out of the idea of disbelief, please?!" She shouted over the line. "I could be dead give or take a day or more! This isn't as simple as hopping on this first ship home!"

When she took note of people stopping and staring out her outburst, she blushed, attempting to calm herself down. She cleared her throat, continuing.

"Let Flint know." She urged, her tone now flat and quiet. "At least out of the two of you, he actually feels an ounce of sentiment."

With that said, she hung up. She wasn't sure if Volkner would get the message to him or not. Regardless if he did, he and Flint would eventually get back to her. Still, she wondered if she'd even be alive and able to answer their call.

Kelly paused mid-chew as she caught sight of a distraught looking woman pacing and speaking on her PokeGear. She tilted her head watching this worried female as she cast occasionally glances around herself as if paranoid that someone was after her. Kelly hummed, digging into her jacket pocket and pulling out her phone. She had never invested in the PokeGear. No, she had picked up a cell phone first chance she got instead.

She flipped it open, getting to the message she needed swiftly. She paused, casting a look back at the PokeGear user again. The photo matched the one on her phone to a 'T' even if the woman Kelly had found looked more haggard now. No doubt that was because of what was chasing after her.

Kelly shoved the phone back in her pocket, calling out a Pokemon quickly after. An Emolga blinked up at her curiously before Kelly jerked her chin towards the woman. Emolga glanced discreetly her way before nodding to his trainer.

"Emol!" And with that the flying squirrel dug into the fast food bag, digging out one of the other burgers Kelly had ordered and ran off with it towards the unknown woman. Kelly let the Pokemon get a fair distance away before she bolted up, giving chase.

"Hey! Minipete! That's mine!" she called out, the ruse already in play as the Emolga, Minipete, took up hiding behind the woman's legs and digging into the wrapper for the food inside as he chattered 'angrily' at his trainer.

Kelly came to a halt before the woman, one hand on her hip, half eaten burger in the other. When she spoke it was through a half-full mouth. "Sorry about that," she smiled before swallowing. "Minipete likes to be a food thief." She tossed the Pokemon a faux-glare before inspecting the woman again. She inclined her head to the side.

"You look worried, something wrong....?" she trailed off, fishing for a name.

She'd worry about her partner who was elsewhere in the city later. For now she was onto a lead that would probably get him to stop scolding her as soon as she told him about it later anyways.

Oki jumped slightly as a Pokemon came out of what seemed like thin air. Of course, she had been too distracted, lacking the look out she should have been. She glanced down at the Pokemon, unsure of what to make of this entire thing. Regardless, she side stepped, not allowing the Emogla to hide behind her anymore.

She glanced at the woman in front of her, watching her carefully. Her instincts for the passed few days had been on paranoid and she wasn't about to become lax because this other woman appeared friendly.

A hard frowned lined her lips. She was already in a sour mood after speaking with Volkner. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she spoke up.

"That's none of your business." She muttered in return, brushing passed the female.

She couldn't trust anyone in Johto; not at the moment. In fact, she wondered how many ordinary people were affiliated with these shady characters. If they were, could gym leaders be as well? Or even those affiliated with the Elite Four.

Thinking about it made her nervous.

Regardless of who was watching, she knew she wasn't safe. Even if it was her nature to be closed off, it was now a habit that she hoped would prove useful. If they didn't know so much about her, was it possible she would okay? If she went home, would they chase her all the way to Sinnoh? What about the Pokemon she had set out to find.

All of these questions ran through her head, making her dizzy. Things weren't looking up for her; not now.

She truly wondered what mess she'd gotten herself into.

Surge tapped his foot on the pavement. Kelly had run off again to who knows where. The man had often times become impatient with her. She was always looking for some way to prove him wrong and rub his nose in it. As was her nature.

When he recieved the text, he couldn't help but feel a little feel a little peeved. The woman they'd been tracking for the passed few days had been spotted again, and this time by Kelly. It caused him to feel rather annoyed. She was trying to get one up on him, as she normally did.

He heaved a sigh, his fingers pounding the keys he would need to reply. The woman was till managing to escape them. As such, they would need to change their tact.

Get close to her; act concerned. The message would read. Maybe then, she won't slip passed so easily.

He hit 'send', waiting on confirmation that the message got through. When it did, he snapped the phone closed and stuffed it back into his pocket, awaiting anymore news on the subject.

Kelly could feel her phone vibrating in her coat pocket, the little device weighing down the fabric and resting against her hip as she spun around holding her hands up in a mock shrug, food still in one hand. No doubt it was Surge trying to get her attention but if she fished out the phone now it would only make this woman more paranoid. Minipete shuffled closer to his trainer, munching on the other burger.

"Well, if you keep acting like that people are gonna wonder just what trouble you've gotten yourself into," Kelly called after the woman, shaking her head. She knew these types all too well. No street smarts! Act like your paranoid and people are going to watch you to see what you were up to. Act like you're doing something wrong or were in some trouble it was bound to catch eyes by unsavory types.

No doubt this target wouldn't want that. No, she seemed too cautious for that considering she had slipped past Team Rocket's radar for three days.

Kelly began to spin around, shoving another bite of food into her mouth as she spoke again. "But what do I know? Maybe you're just an unbelievable douche on the best of days anyways."

It wasn't the best of tactics to get close to the target but it was one that would show that she was reacting normally to the other woman's horrible behavior. Most of those in Kelly's position on their side wouldn't have done such a thing - no they were far more aggressive in their actions.

It was at this point that Kelly tugged out the phone, walking a few paces away and inspecting the text. Minipete followed after, ears swiveling around and casting almost worried looking glances toward the woman that had brushed past them. The woman's thumbs flew over the keys, her mouth around what was left of her burger to free up both hands.

'Target's too paranoid. Might have to tail her.' With that she hit send, and slipped it back into her pocket and out of sight.

Oki heard the words but chose to ignore them. It wasn't like she hadn't heard similar things before. No, she had and these were the people who she quickly shut out of her life. Good or bad, it didn't matter to her. Especially here, where there was no one she could trust.

As she walked away, she released her Zangoose, Phalanx in a bid to reassure her. She didn't care for fighting but she needed the protection. She feared being caught off guard now. She wasn't even sure she would make it through to the next day.

She bit her lip, thinking back to home. She thought she was only observing the patterns of Pokemon who remained unknown to humans. It was a rash decision in her mind. Now she was regretting it.

I wonder how long it's going to take Volkner to contact Flint... She briefly wondered.

She wouldn't take the call in the city. There were too many prying eyes, too many listening in. It could have been the only reason that woman approached her in the first place. Her stomach twisted in knots at the thought.

God...he better make it fast...

Surge grunted at the words he read. At least Kelly was working and replying faster then before. Seemed she really wanted to rub his nose in it. Still, she had to bring the target in.

Make sure you keep that one alive. He quickly responded back. Word has it she has a knack for tracking and legends. Could be a help.

Hitting send once again, he messed with the phone in a bid to keep his hands busy. At least it was something to do, instead of sitting around watching the people go by.

Some days were so boring. He scoffed at this. He wanted to see some excitement again. Personally, he couldn't wait to take over the regions. It would be a battle that no one would forget.

Kelly let the woman trail far enough ahead of her before she followed through. Goldenrod City was a thriving city and thus it was easy to use the crowds to her advance to tail the target, even as she called out a Zangoose. Minipete headed up into the skies, using the rooftops to his advantage. Even if the Zangoose caught a glimpse of his shadow he would be fast enough to hide atop the roofs or around a corner. Besides Minipete wouldn't get that close. No, they had been taught better then that.

Her phone vibrated again. It was always on silent other than when she needed the alarm to wake her. Half the time she didn't even use that, instead Surge usually had to drag her out of bed.

She tugged out the device again, scoffing at the message. Multitasking was something she was always good at. Dividing her attention between keeping an eye on the Zangoose trainer and on her text she quickly filled out the text field in moments.

'Oh ye of little faith trust me on this one. (And yes I just said 'ye') The way she's acting it's not going to be long before she attracts trouble. People who act like she is always do.'

She shoved a hands in her pocket yawning and running the other through her hair momentarily. She hated tailing these people and having to keep them alive after the trouble she had to deal with with these people. They were always immense pains in the ass.

Oki bit her lip, debating. There were so many people here and she didn't know who was on who's side. She was obviously a paranoid one and as such, she might have been spotted long ago. She knew it was entirely possible she was being tailed again.

She was in a silent debate with herself. She could pull out her Aerodacty, Barba, and high tail it out via flight or stick in the city, where she was more at risk. Either way was a risk however. More would be apt to see her.

She was in the middle of debating with herself when her Pokegear went off again. She tensed slightly, pulling the device out. Volkner had finally called back. She'd doubted him. He was quicker than she would have expected.

She kept walking as she answered the call.

"Flints on the line, He explained casually. "Wanted to talk to you. You've got him worried."

She knew he was worried too. He simply brushed things off easier than others did. It was unnerving at times, but infuriating at the same time. She didn't understand him some days.

"Put him on." She muttered. "I'm afraid I might be being followed...so I need to make it brief."

Beside her, Phalanx was busy keeping an eye on things. He was hesitant and thoughtful, taking care of his trainer was always his first priority. He watched people, tried to pick out those who might be familiar and those who were simply passing by. He was observant where most weren't. If he had a chance to see it, he would.

Surge heaved a sigh at the new message. This was normal and he should have been used to it but the mere sight pissed him off. This woman didn't take things so seriously when she should have.

Don't get a swelled head. He responded quickly. You never know about some people or who they affiliate with.

With that message sent, he began walking about as well. He knew what the woman looked like. If she was around and if Kelly was following, it might give them both a chance to take this woman in quickly and without issue.

That would be easy though. He knew from working this way; these things were never easy.

Flint took the device into his hand, speaking into it and trying his best not to let the worry flood through his voice.

"Hey, Oki, I hear you're having a rough time," he began, swallowing hard. "What's the situation like? Volkner on summarized it for me."

He grew silent, waiting for the woman to speak and tell him what she knew. He could hear the faint sounds of crowds and worried about missing out on important information because of this. It wasn't any secret that Oki was a paranoid one and he could just envision her flinching and eyeing everyone warily.

Kelly ignored the vibrating phone again. It'd just be Surge yelling at her. She hated being scolded but it was usually more aggravating when it came from Surge. No, she'd just let it lie and he'd get the hint when he didn't receive a message back after a few minutes.

No, her focus was on the target at hand. That was all that mattered now. Nothing else. It was a strange transformation from the usually lax woman seeing her turn into such a focused tracker.

Up ahead she could spot the woman speaking on a PokeGear again. Her lip curved up into a smirk. Her Zangoose was keeping a tight eye out on the crowds around them. From her position it looked to Kelly as if the Pokemon would leer at anyone who ventured too closely to its trainer.

'So this is commonplace,' she noted. 'Good. I like a challenge.'

Her eyes flitted up, noting how Minipete was keeping careful watch. She had had the option of turning him into a Shadow Pokemon but to her they were a liability. Too much aggression and not enough tact.

No, that wouldn't have worked well for Kelly and the way she operated.

She quickened her pace, blending in on the other side of a crowd that kept behind the woman. If she listened closely she could make out the conversation on the PokeGear in bits and pieces from here.

Oki shuffled nervously around crowds of people. Occasionally, she'd bump shoulders with another, muttering an apology as she went. She didn't care for this place or the circumstance she was under. She'd be lying, however, if she didn't think talking to Flint eased her worries just a little.

"Well, it's hard to say." She replied, though it was somewhat softer, hoping those around her wouldn't hear. "I stumbled onto some people when I was tracking the legendary Pokemon. They were up to something. Given that I've been chased by others from the same group, it seems I've gotten myself into a bit of trouble." She explained carefully, attempting to sound neutral about the situation instead of letting her emotions flood out like before. "In other words, I'm kinda being stalked..."

That seemed a simple way to put it. Of course, that alone was cause for alarm. She wasn't sure how she was going to mention the strange legendary Pokemon. That in and of itself was hard to believe.

"I don't know what they want or what I saw that was so important but...with these people trying to attack me out of the blue, I've grown...concerned to put it at it's lightest."

Knowing Flint, he'd be on the first boat toward Johto if he was able. He was an Elite member, she couldn't have him abandoning his responsibilities for this. It was too far and too much. If she had to return home, just to feel that ounce of protection, she would.

There was no telling if these people would follow however; that was what concerned her the most.

Surge scoffed, his phone remaining silent for quite some time. Chances were, Kelly wasn't going to respond. The woman was stubborn and hated being told what to do or scolded. She would ignore his texts for a while until he saw fit that he needed to speak with her.

Things like this normally bounced right off him. With her, no, it was a challenge. This woman angered him at times. Still, she was good to have around. Determined enough but also subtle. Several Rocket members lacked both, aiming for power in place of acting subtle.

Regardless, he continued on, hoping to bump into the woman and the one she was tracking. If that were the case, they could plan things face to face, instead of communicating through their phones.

Flint felt his lips draw thin, worry flooding through him even more. He didn't like this news more than usual. Oki wasn't a troublemaker and it seemed to him like there was more that she was leaving out. He spared a glance with his faithful Infernape. He looked equally worried.

"What city are you at in Johto?" he questioned. Depending on the size of the city it could be filled to the brim with anyone out to get her. "More importantly just who are these men after you? Do you know who they are?"

He had to get all the facts, find a way to help her even from Sinnoh if he had to. His friend's life could very well be at stake and he wouldn't sit around and do nothing about it if that was the case.

Kelly kept her gaze straight forward, only sneaking peaks at the woman from time to time from the corner of her eye. The Zangoose hadn't seen her earlier, wouldn't know that she had bumped into its trainer prior to going the same way. So even if it did spot her there was no reason for it to raise the alarm on her so long as she kept her cool.

She always kept her cool on tracking missions.

She analyzed the bits she could hear of the conversation, growing aggravated with those near her. They were far too loud, far too noisy! Their words were a distraction and a needless one at that.

Minipete followed high in the sky keeping a bird's eye view up above.

To her it sounded as if this woman had allies. Excitement rose up in Kelly's chest. It had been far too long since she had had a meaningful chase! Perhaps now she could one worth talking about.

She bit her lip, attempting to keep her gaze fixated forward to not draw anymore attention on herself. She knew she was making simple mistakes but they were big ones. Doing these things could cost her her life.

"Ummm...A big one." She responded. She'd meant to be funny but it didn't lighten her mood. "I'm not exactly sure. I slipped passed on of those people chasing me earlier and just ran here. I thought it might give me time to collect myself but...now I'm beginning to regret it."

She tried to think back on anything distinctive about these people who had chased her. Nothing came to mind; they had looked like normal people, all but the fact that they had the strange legendaries.

"I'm not sure who they were." She continued. "I didn't exactly stop to ask. The Pokemon they used were vicious, so I wasn't planning on sticking around..."

She was growing nervous, casting a glance on Phalanx. He was still keeping a look out on things, those, his ears twitched on occasion, listening in on his trainers conversation.

Surge heaved a sigh, pulling out his cell phone. He flipped it open, allowing the screen to light up. On the screen was a map and a blinking yellow dot. This was Kelly's location.

She hadn't known it but she was always being tracked. She was a shifty on at times and as such, she needed to be watched. A tracking device had been placed in her phone to keep an eye on her whereabouts. It had to be done.

Pin pointing her location, he headed off in that direction. They needed to get the job done soon. The leader was becoming impatient and as such, his anger would be directed on him for not keeping Kelly on a tight enough leash.

She was a handful and a headache. Why he kept her around, he wasn't sure.

"Vicious Pokemon?" Flint frowned deeply at that, a sense of dread swirling in his chest cavity. It mixed and melded with the worry already planted there casting a heavy weight on his chest. He scratched at his head.

"What kind of Pokemon was it? Can you say right now?" It was his way of asking if Oki thought she was being listened into or if she couldn't chance telling him. Flint hoped she was safe and that her paranoia was unfounded for the moment.

"Can you get to a safer spot and call me when you do? I worry you're be caught by these people talking about this in broad daylight in a crowd, Oki."

She could hear it. Kelly's excitement grew at this. The man on the other end was asking her to hang up.

She could almost feel herself vibrating with the excitement that spiked in her. It caused her heart to leap and her her smirk to widen.

All she had to do was wait....

Wait for the PokeGear to turn off....

For the alleyway just up ahead to get a few yards closer....

Kelly shifted past the group, onto the other side.

The target was just ahead of her, just a few feet. A burst of speed would be all it would take to catch up, snatch onto her and drag her into the alleyway. Her Zangoose would be immobilized before it could react....

All she had to do was wait....

She paused for a moment. She'd considered that she could be listened to at that moment. In fact, she knew it was a very plausible situation. She needed to find a safe place. She simply didn't know where 'safe' was anymore, especially this far from home.

"I'll find another place." She responded carefully. "And call back. It might take a while. I'm afraid I don't know the area well enough."

She gave a moment to listen to his reply before turning the Pokegear off. She'd have to make this quick; she didn't want to leave them hanging for long. Of course, they were probably both worried; she'd done enough to make them worry. Still, it concerned her to hear Flint so worried. He was the laid back type, like Volkner but at least he had more feeling. She knew when something was wrong with him.

She heaved a sigh, letting her hand fall back to her side as they went. Finding a way out of the city was top priority now. If she had to call Barba at this point, she would. She couldn't care who saw now. She needed to move, and quick.

Flint nodded, aware that she could not see it from her end. It was more for his own validation than anything else.

"Take your time if you have to. Be careful," he stressed. He flashed Infernape another look as the PokeGear's call clicked off. He turned his gaze back to the device, staring at it for a moment as if able to divine Oki's situation from the little screen in his hand. It remained still, showing his contacts list.

Both of them knew, if they had to they would travel to Johto to protect Oki if she needed it.

"Maybe we should get prepared, just in case, huh, buddy?"

"Infer!"

Kelly jerked her head up a silent order to Minipete. In a moment's notice he had launched an Electro Ball, sending the attack skittering off into a building nearby. Pieces and chunks of concrete, mortar and steel girders rained down on the city, scattering the crowds and causing a distraction a safe distance away from Kelly.

She lunged forward taking hold of the target's shirt into her fist and dragging her into the alleyway. Before her Zangoose could do a thing to stop it Kelly had slipped two Pokeballs out of her pocket on the way into the alleyway. A Manectric and a Galvantula would pin the Pokemon down, leaving it unable to help its trainer.

Kelly pinned the woman to the wall, smirking wildly at her. Minipete soon rejoined her, landing on her shoulder and sparking at the cheeks as a silent warning to their target.

"I'd be quiet if I were you or your friend there -" Kelly inclined her head towards the Zangoose. "- might find himself in a rather fragile state of being."

Kelly smiled here, momentarily, before she dropped it for the smirk again. "Before you ask anything stupid I've got a proposition for you."

Oki was indeed startled by the turn of events. She should have known it was coming but she'd been too nervous to really watch her back; far too distracted. She bit her lip, recognizing the face in front of her. Yes, she knew it. Now she regretted not realizing it sooner. It was far too convenient beforehand after all.

Her conviction to remain silent, a hard frown on her lips. She wouldn't speak; that much she had decided after this woman had made the previous comment. She had nothing to worry about from that notion.

She glanced Phalanx, struggling against these two other electric types. She'd grown used to the sight of them, hanging around Volkner for so long. Still, she knew they could pack a punch if they wanted to. She feared that they very much wanted to.

She gaze a shrug and a nod. She would listen but she would remain silent. As was her nature. This woman was shut out; the only reason she didn't ignore her completely was because she couldn't. She was here, threatening her after all.

No, the most she would manage was listen. It was the only thing she could offer in her stubborn convictions.

Gwen woke up to another beautiful summer's day. The morning rays bursting into the small cave. She gently shook the green pokemon next to her. "C'mon, Chikorita, sweetie, it's a new day."

Chikorita peered up with one eye open to see her trainer's bright smile, she was quite tired but she listened to her trainer. "Chiko." she whined yet arose anyway.

Gwen took a brush out of her backpack and began to brush her long blonde hair down before tying it back up in a french plait using a small white ribbon and tying it into a bow. She then placed her brush back and threw her backpack to one side and began to prepare some pokemon food for Chikorita and the others.

The raven-haired trainer stopped as she heard a few shouts from the crowd. Suddenly, a Emolga emerged from the mass of people, running away with something in its mouth. She blinked behind her spiraled glasses; that was certainly odd to say the least.

Seeing that the Pokemon ran by her without really noticing her, the girl decided to follow after it. After all, this Pokemon had to belong to someone, right?

Still, the Emolga was hard to keep up with. Having to maneuver herself through the crowd was a big enough task as it was, trying to follow the fast Pokemon only added to it. Still, she just barely managed to keep it in sight, yet she wasn't expecting to see a Pokemon's attack hit a large building when she got there.

She hid away, trying to see through the now chaotic crowd as people fled the scene. She could see a glimpse of a Zangoose through the dust and chaos, and decided to wait before making a move.

"What in the world is going on here...?!" she muttered under her breath, beginning to wonder if this was Team Rocket's doing.

"Okay, come on out everyone!" She launched the pokeballs into the air as five other sleepy pokemon emerged from them. "Pi." Her Pichu groaned, walking over towards Chikorita where he found the pokemon food. His expression changed to one of happiness, "Piiiiiii~!" he beamed, running to the bowls. The others soon followed.

Gwen pulled a few berries from her bag and began to snack on those. She wasn't really hungry, just thinking. Thinking about leaving the cave soon, they had all already been here 3 nights. They needed to move on. Maybe heading towards Goldenrod City should be their next move, she didn't know yet, but wasn't as if she knew of anywhere else to go.

She turned her gaze to her pokemon. Only had she looked away for a few minutes and already, Pichu was causing mischef with her unsuspecting Poliwag. She sighed heavily. At times, looking after these pokemon could be a chore. "Hey, Pichu, stop that!" He turned to her knowing he'd been caught. "Pi." He sighed and retreated to his own bowl.

Kelly smiled again as the target didn't scream. That was good. Yet with all the chaos out in the main streets it wouldn't have done much good for her anyways. People were too concerned with themselves, worried about some sort of attack on Goldenrod that didn't exist.

Not as of the moment anyways.

Still, the lack of a struggle was disappointing. Perhaps this wasn't the chase she was seeking....

Oh, well, too late not to try, she decided.

"Now, here's the plan -" behind her Raiden spit out an Electroweb, doing his best to ensnare the Zangoose and make it easier to pin. Truth be told neither of those Pokemon were pulling their best punches against that Zangoose. "- you're going to have an hour to run out of Goldenrod and on your merry little way. Now, here's the catch, after an hour is up I'm coming after you. It'll be a little game."

She paused, brooding over something.

"Let's see, every game has rules so let's establish a few for ours; the first being if you're on your own than I won't bring in reinforcements. The second is that any open area -" Kelly jerked her head towards the open street where crowds were beginning to calm down with the lack of a follow up attack. "- is a 'safe zone' of sorts. No attacking each other in them but alleyways and the like are open game."

She spared a glance to Minipete who was finishing up the burger he had snatched from Kelly. "Anything else?"

"Emolga emol 'mol ga."

"I think about covers it. What do you say?" She paused, inclining her head to one side. "Do we have a deal or am I going to just take you in right now?"

Oki's breath hitched, unsure if she should breath or not. This woman was obviously an alley to the people who had been chasing her. Not one however, made an offer such as this. In fact, the others were keen on simply capturing or killing her. She had no idea why, just that it had to be done, it seemed.

She wasn't sure what she thought of this 'deal' or it's rules. She had planned on going home when she discussed things over with Flint and Volkner. Now it seemed that if she did, she would have to keep as far away from the pair as possible, less this woman bring in more to chase after her.

Her mind was on so many things and she didn't have much time to think them over. Regardless, if she could make it out of the city and call Flint back, perhaps he could walk her through it.

She was no good at these kind things, after all.

She bit her lip, glancing over at her Pokemon. It seemed there wasn't much they could do. She didn't want him hurt and three against one wasn't exactly fair.

Hardening her gaze, she gave a brief nod. As soon as this woman let go, she'd take Barba and get out of the city as fast as she could. She wouldn't be able to call Flint back, not until they had landed. Who knew how long she'd be flying as well.

"And what if this game ends?" She finally broke her silence. "How do I 'win', so to speak."

There had to be an end in every game, even if it included death. She certainly hoped it wasn't that drastic but in her position, she knew it could be anything.

Kelly's smirk remained. The target sounded so hesitant, as if unwilling to even speak to her. No matter. She had no time to worry about that.

"An excellent question, indeed," Kelly answered with a nod of her head.

She stepped away from the woman, eliciting a short whistle. At once the Manectric and Galvantula stepped away from the Zangoose allowing it to get back on its feet. They were quickly recalled and the Pokeballs placed back into her pockets for safekeeping even as Kelly began to stroll out of the alleyway without a care.

"Let's just say the end of the game is... open for debate." Kelly paused in her step then, lifting the sleeve of her jacket up over a watch. "And I'd get going if I were you. Tick tock, tick tock."

And with that she was gone, disappeared into the crowd with the ease of years of practice. One moment she was there and the next she was gone, hidden amidst the people.

Oki held her breath until the woman had disappeared. Only then, did she manage to exhale. She wasn't sure what to make of this situation now. She wasn't given much thought in the first place and now hundreds of questions were swirling in her head. A feeling of dread planted itself in her chest, her stomach twisting in knots.

She glanced at Phalanx, her Pokemon ready to give chase. She quickly pulled his Pokeball out and called him back before he could do anything rash. She had to play this game now but that didn't mean she was looking for a fight right away. She hadn't been looking for one at all in fact. She simply got one against her will.

She pulled another Pokeball out, that being Barba's. Walking out of the alleyway, she released the large Aerodactyl. He flapped his wings, content to stretch them though, didn't seem to care who was in the way. People gaped at the Pokemon, unsure of why it had been released in such a small space.

Oki didn't have time to explain nor did she care to. She quickly mounted his back, not willing to whisper any words to the Pokemon yet. With a little kick in his sides, the Pokemon gave a flap of his mighty wings. Lifting himself off the ground, he beat his wings a few more times, pulling himself further and further into the sky until they were above the city.

"We're going home." She called to Barba, her voice fighting that of the wind.

Barba only gave a brief nod and nothing more. He didn't question his trainer, only followed the order she had given. Still, he had to wonder just why she had been so urgent. She had intentions to stay in Johto for quite some time. Now they were leaving.

Oki's anxiety and fear left him nervous. There was nothing he could do however; not until they landed.

As the city was becoming a distant memory behind them, he had to wonder; just what trouble had they gotten themselves into.
