Silence was all that Mimi was receiving from the entire group. Having to admit, if she put herself in their shoes, it probably sounded like a crazy ambition, a dangerous idea. Something inside fueled her - a promise to try her best to find Zena. Even though they knew little about each other, in her heart the woman wouldn't just let this all slide. The way that man had abruptly took her away, and how he might have answers to why their world was slowly transforming into what it had become.

Finally word was spoken. The beating of her suspended heart slowed to a normal pace, and the opinions from the trio were spoken. Some part of her seemed to predict the result of them speaking those words in the first place. Shoulders slumping and having a crestfallen face the woman softly sighed.

Flinching suddenly Mimi felt the patting of her head. Gazing to Leon her eyes widened slightly as he began to speak. He quashed the doubts of how the group were right in their own way in her heart, and he had just helped her. The way he smiled slightly at her caused the return of her own smile before said woman turned to the trio with a relieved aura emanating from her core.

With a quick laugh and a nod of her head in respect, Mimi felt a sense of belief and courage that she could achieve her goal.

"Thank you..."

Axel could feel the tightening grip of Zena's hand on his own. An action that signified the need for comfort, protection, and even fear. The way she kept close to him provided the signs of the emotions that emitted strongly from her heart. Mixed feelings began welling up inside of Axel. The way he had abruptly ripped her away from that girl back on Twilight Town, and her own world. It all seemed like it was a mistake now to even bring her in to speak with Xemnas.

Steeling himself the empty shell spoke up to the higher Nobody with a 'sir' to catch his attention. Number I's voice echoed through the soft white room, carrying intimidation with each syllable that escaped his lips. "Number VIII. I see you've brought the girl." he presumed as he shifted on his seat.

Gripping the woman's hand tighter he began rubbing his thumb across the top as a sign of comfort. Memories began flooding back to him once again of the time he spent with the two left in the past. He couldn't save them, and he couldn't protect them both in the end. Axel had grown 'attached' to Zena faster than he would have with other individuals. Though with the two youngest members he connected with them like he did Zena. That was why he was reminded of them.

He couldn't save them in the end.

He wouldn't let Zena suffer a fate like theirs.

"I have. She's got a strong heart. She'll be able to help." he hesitated to share. He didn't need any special senses to be able to see if Zena's heart was strong or not. He could tell himself that she was strong.

Xemnas leaned forward on his throne and coldly stared down the woman. His eyes were burning into her as if he himself could sense her strength from his high pedestal. Moments of silence passed by and Axel almost couldn't bare this any longer. Parting his lips to speak, Xemnas had interrupted the red head.

"Good, good. She's strong. I trust you will do what is right, Axel. Remember... If she falls out of line you will suffer the consequences."

With a bow of his head Axel swiftly turned his back to the higher up and began dragging his feet out of the room with Zena along. Number VIII refused to let go of the woman's hand as if she would disappear in an instant under Xemnas' control. He didn't want that; he didn't want her suffering the same fate he was suffering.

After exiting the room the 'man' closed the large door before letting out a sigh, and smirking down at Xena.

"There. That wasn't so bad now, was it?"

Luxord knew that he caught this woman's attention. The 'man' knew that this wouldn't be quite the game he planned to play. At first glance Lacie seemed like another poor soul who would've lost her soul to those Heartless. The light from any heart fed their drive - their will - to feed on any source that carried the light. No matter who or what they were the Heartless were ruthless, but what was inside the very creatures was what kept Luxord patient with them.

He had seen their many reigns of terror in other worlds. Each form of Heartless engulfed whatever they could in sight. There are ones that won't hesitate to feed on the heart once they have it in their grasp, or there are ones who will simply keep that heart close to them. Each Heartless behaved differently according to their origin. It was an interesting subject to dwell on despite how impatient Luxord had a tinge of impatience with the creatures, but he was content with the knowledge of their essences being collected for Kingdom Hearts.

Though the current situation in front of him craved his attention. Lacie scoffed at him, asking him what the outcome was if she didn't have an answer. With a cock of his lips Luxord halted the motion of his card in his fingers, and shifted his bright blue eyes to the woman. Even in the neon lights that kept the darkness from creeping in on them, the gambler's eyes seemed to carry a glow to them. It was as if an innocent being still existed inside of the empty shell.

He would never forwardly admit that.

"Well, I most certainly wouldn't be able to help you. These creatures are called Heartless, and they will stop at nothing until they take what they want. What they desire are hearts, my dear. Now, say you're cornered and there's a horde of them staring you dead in the face. Who's going to come to your rescue? Who will be the one to release you from the nightmare?"

Luxord knew very well that this would be an interesting move on the board. "If you choose to come with me, you wouldn't have to deal with those dreadful creatures... or my own." he spoke in a persuasive manner. It seems as this woman would prove to be a huge piece to the puzzle in restoring Kingdom Hearts. It was rare for a whole group of Heartless to chase after one person - except for the Keyblade wielder and his friends.

The tall man seemed to be studying her, watching her for her reaction to him and the white ones. The whole situation was strange but it was a strangeness Lacie had long since become used to. Darkness reigned in the world, her world, and the only thing to do was to adapt. That was that for Lacie.

Now, however, she rocked her hips from side to side as she waited for him to speak up. He seemed to take his time, perhaps picking and choosing his words. The white ones keeping her in place, surrounding her, had cards of their own, almost mimicking the man before them with their movements with them.

She hummed, still rocking side to side. Lacie moved only when it felt like he was growing too close to her for comfort. She liked the distance between them. It at least would give her some advance warning if he tried something. At least, she hoped it would.

"Who's to say I'm the one in need of rescuing?" she retorted simply, well aware of her position. Lacie had never been one to just sit back and take things like this. "Perhaps I have a trick or two to play."

Her voice had been light, almost teasing. Underneath it she carried a wariness about this man, however. Lacie might have been a little strange, perhaps not all stable as some thought, but she knew when to tread carefully.

Brow furrowing she watched him carefully. Lacie still had no name to place to him. He was nameless, at least to her. Until he uttered a name it was meaningless, not important. Instead the threat was something to take into account.

"What a brute!" she scoffed. "That's no way to convince anyone to do what you want."

Still, her pink eyes darted here and there to the white ones. Already they were tensed, ready to strike her. What would happen then? Surely something happened to make these and the dark ones. Would she become something akin to them? Lacie hummed again at that.

Leon could see the worry and disappointment on Mimi's face as the trio spoke. He wasn't sure what to make of that. Miki didn't seem like a particularly stubborn one but he had just met her all the same. For all he knew she could surprise them all at any moment.

Thankfully, him pitching in made the three relent. The relief on her face was enough to tell him that she was grateful. An amused sound left him at how quickly she seemed to change. That sense of relief really must have been powerful for her.

"Then there's nothing left to do but get started," Leon pressed after the brief silence. "Who knows, maybe she'll end up better than the three of you combined."

From the looks of it, Donald didn't seem pleased with the comment. He even shouted briefly before drawing laughs from his friends. Leon shook his head, glancing at Mimi. She seemed to be doing better now that she could be involved.

"No need to thank us, Miki," Sora answered, tilting his head lightly. He placed his hands behind his head. "We'll get you through it. Don't worry!"

Leon spared a nod in agreement. He motioned toward Miki, watching her expression. She was a little happier now and a little lighter. He was sure that helped a great deal at this point.

"I'm sure your friend will be fine as well," he carried on after Sora. "I doubt they would take her without reason."

It was difficult to quash the beating of her heart. It pounded so hard it was almost painful against her chest. Being around this man, whoever he was or wherever he came from, there was a tremendous pressure ebbing off of him.

Relief settled onto her when Axel was dismissed and they could leave. She barely spared a glance backward as he started out of the room. Her own pace seemed a little quicker to keep up with his own. Only when they were out of that room, the door shut behind them, did that pressure seem to come away from her.

Her heart still pounded however and it took a long moment to calm it. She sighed through her nose trying not to be bothered by it. Still, her body shook a little, effected by the feeling in there. It was dark, powerful, and consuming. How anyone could stand to be in a place like that, she could only guess. Maybe it was because Axel lacked a heart.

"That depends on what you consider 'bad'," she answered, placing a hand over where her heart was. It still thumped hard against her chest but not as bad as it had before. She tried to spare a smile. "I'm sorry, guess I got scared."

In reality, maybe that was a good thing. She was here to explain emotions, how her heart felt when emotions struck it. She wasn't sure how she felt about that fact but she was here now. There wasn't much she could do to change her situation and as long as Miki was safe, she was fine.

She glanced at him again, studying his features. She wasn't sure if that was concern there or not. She knew that he definitely didn't feel that like she did or so it seemed. She shook her head, trying to put it behind her for a time.

"What's next, Axel?" She asked instead. "What do we do now?"
