Elda watched a few people pass by. She frowned. Business wasn't picking up, worsening her mood. Normally easy going and optimistic, she was never bothered by this. Now, it seemed to bother her greatly.

She bit at her lip, lowering her gaze. It hit her confidence hard. She wondered if she'd really make anything of herself. Now with that doctor lingering about, she was half afraid that she wouldn't be able to do anything with her life.

Elda puffed out another sigh, shifting in her seat. It had been a long few days and it seemed it would continue to be the like.

She jumped, the sound of a voice calling out to her. Lifting her head, it only too her a moment to recognize Angelica. She hadn't seen her friend in days though, Elda hadn't done much of seeking her out either.

"Oh, hello." She answered, forcing a small smile. "I have. How have you been?"

Il Lupo glanced about, trying to pick out Aries from the crowds. It hadn't been so hard to track her down. He'd taken to the rooftops until he had spotted her. From there, it was simply a matter of getting back to the ground and following after.

A small smirk tugged as his lips as he quickened his pace. He kept behind a few people, watching as she looked about. Was she looking for him or something else.

Il Lupo eventually picked up his pace a little, walking behind her. Leaning forward, he grinned slightly.

"Now, what is the little lamb up to today?" He asked lightly.

Whether she jumped or not remained to be seen. He'd at least caught her stiffening, leaving him chuckle again. For the most part, she'd avoided him. She couldn't avoid him forever, not when he went looking, after all.

Elda didn't look as fine as she claimed to be. Angelica knew her better than that. The forced smile was just that, unless Angelica was reading into things wrong. Perhaps she was merely stressed.

"Oh, I can't complain!" she admitted, clasping her hands before her. "How about you?"

Angelica tilted her head to one side, her bangs falling in the way of her eyes. A moment later and she'd pushed them out of her face. Elda still looked very stressed, her complexion paler than usual. Angelica could swear their were dark circles under her eyes as well.

"You holding up alright, Elda? You look tired."

Worry flooded Angelica's chest. Had she missed out on something while sh'ed been away? I knew I should'v come sooner! she berated herself. Biting her lip she waited for Elda's response.

Around them there were few people about. This place was always like so. Few wandered this way and thus Angelica was concerned for Elda's business.

"You know all you have to do is ask!" she offered for the umpteenth time. "I'm sure father wouldn't mind lending you some coin to move somewhere more prosperous!"

Aries felt her brow furrow. She could swear someone was walking behind her. In a crowd, however, that was to be expected. Resisting glancing over her shoulder was hard, years of keeping an eye on her back making it habit. She was already being tailed by one Templar, acting paranoid wasn't going to help anything.

It wasn't a moment later that the prickling feeling grew stronger and a voice spoke in her ear. Aries stiffened, feeling Il Lupo's breath fan over her ear. She slowed to a stop, sighing and shaking her head.

"What do you want now?"

Though she'd stopped and spoken up Aries did not turn to face Il Lupo. She was in no mood to see that smug smirk on his face again. Instead she planted a hand on her hip and only cocked her head to one side, as if to look at him over her shoulder.

There was no doubt that he would not leave unless something came up now. Funny, she'd had a peaceful few days, even with everything on her mind. Aries supposed it was bound to change eventually.

Il Lupo was still close, perhaps in a bid to get under her skin again. Aries could feel her heart pounding against her ribs at this, though the pace had remained the same. What is he up to?

Elda tried to keep a steady gaze. She pressed her glasses up the brim of her nose again. It was often they liked to slip. She couldn't afford losing or damaging them.

"That's good to hear." She answered after a few moments.

Elda was a little hesitant to speak of herself. Angelica knew nothing of that doctor and she didn't want to drag her friend into the mess. Who knew what he'd do if she let her know about about it.

"I've been alright." She answered. "Just some trouble sleeping is all."

At least it wasn't a complete lie. She had trouble sleeping on occasion. For Angelica, it would appear that that had happened. Or at least, she hoped as such.

Elda shook her head a moment later. She often offered these kinds of things. Elda never felt right about taking someone else's money. In a way, it had landed her in the hot seat.

"That's generous but I have to decline. I wouldn't feel right about it. I'll be alright."

She tried to sound convincing. Elda wore her heart on her sleeve. She had to wonder if she was convincing at all.

Il Lupo wasn't so pleased with her reaction this time. It was much more subdued then yesterday. Though, he had pushed quite a bit more then than he did now. Perhaps a little more prodding would bring out that side again.

He took a step back, folding his arms behind his back. He held his head rather high, an air of confidence to him. He always seemed to have one after all.

"To pick on you, of course." He answered lightly in return. "I had no other plans, so I decided to come bother you."

He loved the annoyed look on her features. He couldn't help but pride himself, knowing that he'd had such an ill effect on this woman.

Il Lupo motioned for her to start forward again. "And what has the little lamb been up to, hmm?"

He doubted that she would tell him. Regardless, it was worth a try. Neither seemed to be doing much at the moment. At least in this way, he could provide the both of them something to do.

Angelica watched as Elda took her time answering, pushing those strange spectacles of hers back up her nose. Not a common thing by far, Angelica wondered how much Elda had saved up for them.

Her brow furrowed, watching Elda's expression. She still looked nervous though Angelica couldn't place way. Angelica folded her arms over her chest, her lips pushing out in a thoughtful pout.

"If you're sure..."

A shake of the head followed suit. Why Elda wouldn't take the extended help Angelica would never know. If she wanted to pay the family back she very well could! It left Angelica frustrated and worry still gnawed at her. What had happened the last few days?

"You're too stubborn," Angelica argued. "It's going to get you into situations you won't know how to fix at this rate!"

It was no secret that Elda struggled for money. What would she do if the flower stand failed to bring in what little it was? Angelica didn't want to see her friend homeless because she'd refused a bit of money or a place to stay.

It was with some amount of relief that Il Lupo had stepped back. Even then it was still quite clear that he had no plans of leaving her side. A scowl marred her features at this, well aware of his intention before he'd even answered.

Aries refused to look at him even then. It would only fuel her agitation, she was sure of it. It didn't stop Il Lupo from remaining. She was half tempted to ignore the way he'd motioned for her to start off again. Rather reluctantly she started off, her pace quick.

If a little childishly, Aries refused to answer. Just because he'd come to bother her didn't mean that Aries had to indulge him. She hadn't forgotten his behavior the last time, after all.

She wished for her old Assassin robes with the hood pulled up. At least in that vein she would be able to better ignore his expression. As it stood her bangs were a poor replacement.

Her pace was quick, easily moving alongside the crowds. No one spared a passing glance their way. Aries wondered if that would remain or not. Il Lupo seemed to quite like causing a scene when she was involved.

Elda shifted, albeit a little nervously. She didn't know how to explain anything to her friend. It wasn't like it was best to do so anyways. That doctor could go after Angelica and then what? Elda would just feel guilt on her shoulders.

She offered another smile, a tilt of her head following. "Of course I'm sure." She tried to reassure.

If she doubted herself, then what reason did Angelica have to believe her? Elda had always had trouble finding confidence in these kinds of things.

She blinked, the words hitting harder then they should have. She swallowed the lump that suddenly formed in her throat. That was far too close to the truth then she would have liked to admit.

"I apologize." She finally answered with a slight smile. "I just don't want to burden anyone."

Her smile slipped if only a little. The weight on her shoulders seemed to grow. What could she do? That doctor could easily try and kill Angelica as well.

Il Lupo was a little put off that she didn't respond. Her expression remained annoyed. He started a little forward, trying to walk with her. Slipping passed the crowds was a very easy thing.

He frowned, trying to figure a way to get her to speak. She was ignoring him now. Perhaps this was the only place he'd gotten. He resisted a sigh. He might have pushed a little too hard days before.

"Come now," he started, lifting his arms a little. "Surely the silent treatment isn't the only thing you can think of." His hands fell back to his side when he did not receive a reply.

Il Lupo snorted, easily falling into step with her. He spared a quick glance around, wondering where she was heading. Quieter places or would she remain near here? What was on her mind anyways? He shook those thoughts away.

"Have I picked on you too much, little lamb?" He inquired, glancing at her. "Or perhaps you're a loss for words because you've fallen head over heels for me?"

The prod was light. He didn't expect to get anything out of her but he could at least try.

Fidgeting. Elda was fidgeting again though Angelica wasn't sure if it was something on her mind or something Angelica had said to cause it. Biting her lip she glanced away. The crowds were so small here! Angelica was sure that Elda would do better in an area of the city where crowds were aplenty.

Her gaze drifted back to Elda when she'd spoken. Angelica returned the smile, though it was a small one. It was hard to shake her worry.

"It wouldn't be a burden at all! We want to help." With that said, Angelica shook her head. A wave of the hand after she spoke up again. "Forget I said anything! Silly me always butting right into people's business!"

She stuck her tongue out, rapping her knuckles along her head gently for effect. It was a habit Angelica had and one that drove many mad. She just couldn't help it! She liked to hear about it all and give advice and help if she was able.

"Would you like to walk about Roma with me later?" she offered. "Perhaps we can spread word of your little stall if as we do!"

Aries could only wonder what the look on Il Lupo's face might be. He'd fallen into following after her for the time being, not a word spoken. At least, for the moment it was that way. It probably wouldn't be long before he'd try and prod her for a response again, however.

Sure enough, a moment later he was instep with her pushing for an answer. Aries remained silent, keeping her gaze elsewhere. She had to resist a scoff, however. Despite his prod about it, it sure seemed to be getting under his skin.

Truthfully Aries had hoped to see Demitri again and settle things over with some of the other Assassins. They'd have to play their part and make it realistic if they ran across each other, after all. With Il Lupo there it was not a possibility. So instead she would merely take to wandering, keeping to busier areas so as to make sure that Il Lupo might better behave himself.

At his next words, Aries had to fight to resist the scoff. The wrinkle of her nose was something that happened regardless. And she'd thought he'd been arrogant before!

She could spy a few fruit and vegetable vendors nearby. Briefly Aries entertained the idea of buying him something if only to keep him quiet for a short time. It was getting ridiculous how much he was pushing.

I thought he was looking for reasons that I am a traitor, she thought to herself. This tactic isn't going to prove anything.

Elda shook her head slightly. True, there were very few people here and she had considered moving. Now however, that doctor knew her location. If she moved, she feared what he might do if he found her again. He made it clear that she remain in a place he could find her. If she fled, he could easily kill her.

She blinked, taken aback by her words. Her heart nearly leapt in her throat, afraid that she was serious for a moment. It wasn't a short moment later, she was joking about it.

Elda shook her head again, finding little relief. If she kept at it, Elda might slip up. Or would the doctor show up? She tried to shake that thought.

"It's not your fault." She responded, trying to keep her tone light. It's mine.

Elda glanced around, pondering the offer. She tried to pick out the doctor amoung the few that milled about. For the moment, he was unseen, perhaps tending to some other business.

"I wouldn't mind." She answered, glancing back to Angelica. "It might help."

Il Lupo placed his hands behind his back, cupping his helps. Once more, she remained silent. His prods weren't working, at least not for the moment. Whatever she was trying to do, it was working, leaving him a little more annoyed.

The most she had given was a few expression. He puffed out a sigh, shaking his head. It looked like he wasn't going to achieve much for his amusement.

There was still trying to prove her to be a spy as well. That was going to be difficult over time if he kept at it. As much as he liked to see these sides of her, he had to stop at some point.

"Not so talkative anymore, hmm?" He asked, the bump in his tone disappearing.

He spared a glance around. He hadn't heard any news as of late. Until anything suspicious came up, he couldn't express his suspicions to the others. Il Lupo tried to resist the sigh.

"Well, this is going to be a rather dull day." He commented, not getting any answer from her again.

He'd at least hoped for some excitement. She wasn't going to indulge, if only by her own annoyance. Il Lupo shook his head, glancing back toward her again. He had to wonder what was going through that head of hers.

Angelica leaned forward, resting her elbows on Elda's stall. She could smell the flowers around them, the stronger ones mingling together. Angelica was sure individually they smelled much better. Elda knew what she was doing with flowers, after all.

"That's not what everyone else says!" Angelica said, an almost playful tone in her voice.

Her smile faded, however, as she caught Elda glancing around the crowd. Curious, Angelica turned to survey the people as well. Whoever she might have been looking at did not catch Angelica's eye. With a quiet "huh" she turned back.

Tipping her head to one side, Angelica grew curious. Was Elda waiting for something?

"I'm not keeping you from something, am I?" she wondered. "I can go if I am!"

Walking as she was, Aries kept their pace. Il Lupo didn't seem to have any place to be as is. Why he was so intent to bother and harass her Aries couldn't figure out. Whatever his end goal might be it successfully left her confused.

He sighed, something that wasn't well disguised. Aries wondered if that was on purpose or not, trying to fish for a reply. Aries didn't indulge him.

Aries didn't miss the way that playful tone was gone. Good, she thought. That attitude of his was grating, after all. Perhaps it would knock him down a peg, realizing that he couldn't always get his way.

When he spoke again Aries altered their path. It seemed Il Lupo would just keep talking, even if it was a one-sided conversation. Coming up towards one of the fruit vendors she passed over a few coins in exchange for a piece of his ware.

She spared the man a smile in place of any thanks before she all but shoved the fruit into Il Lupo's chest. He'd either catch it or let it fall.

"Do something more productive with your mouth," she snapped finally as she started off again. Aries noticeably didn't spare a glance his way as she did so.

Elda offered a small chuckle in response. Angelica was right on one part. Many had described her as nosy in the past. It was a bit of an uplifting feeling, being able to laugh, even if it was little.

It didn't take long before that nervous feeling crashed on her again. She had to at least keep an eye out for him. That doctor seemed to like hiding in plain sight.

Double taking, she glanced at Angelica again. Elda shook her head after Angelica looked back at her.

"N-no..." She answered, shuffling again. "It's just...a doctor has been stopping around here these passed few days..."

She wasn't sure if she should give anymore then that. Knowing Angelica, she might take it as a lighter thing.

Il Lupo watched those they passed by. Most were milling about, talking and laughing. They enjoyed their days here, completely oblivious to the war the Templar's and Assassin's were fighting. Perhaps that was for the best.

He spared a discreet glance her way again, wondering what was on her mind. She at least looked as if she'd softened. He wondered how long that would last.

Il Lupo shook those thoughts from his mind, briefly wondering why he was so bothered by the silence. It had never bothered him before. He hated the thought that it did bother him.

Eventually, she did speak up. A smirk tugged at his lips again. He couldn't help it.

"Wouldn't you like to find out." He answered. Lifting a hand as if to placate her, he chuckled. "You walked into that one. I could not resist."

It was true enough and he did get some amusement out of it. Il Lupo watched her expression again, wondering how she was going to take his gentle prodding.

Angelica beamed as Elda chuckled. It was a small sound but it was something. She'd been worried that Elda had been too stressed out. Something like that could make her sick! It had happened before, after all. Angelica would rather not see it come to that, especially when Elda seemed intent to deny any help.

That relief was soon removed, replaced by worry. That nervousness on Elda's face was back, even if she was doing her best to hide it. Angelica's brow furrowed, her head tilting to one side as Elda spoke up.

"A doctor?" echoed Angelica. "Why is he coming around here?"

A thoughtful sound escaped Angelica. She couldn't begin to figure out why this doctor had Elda so nervous. Was there something Angelica hadn't been told?

"Well, if he's so often poking around, can't you just leave him a note if you leave?" she suggested.

It made sense to her. Perhaps it was someone showing interest in Elda even! But why would that drive her to be so nervous?

Angelica took to toying with her hands. Picking the dirt out from under her fingernails, she wondered if she'd come when she shouldn't have. She'd been so worried with little word about Elda, though!

"Have I come at a bad time, Elda?" she wondered out loud.

Whether anyone around them noted the look on her face Aries didn't notice. She supposed that was for the best. Il Lupo's presence had soured things for her. The way that he'd come, acting as if he had expected her to be fine after his last stunt.

Whether he had only been playful at the time or not Aries felt she had a right to be angry. He'd made it more than clear that day and the day before that he didn't trust her. Why Il Lupo had thought it a good idea to do as he'd done Aries couldn't say.

When she did finally speak up Il Lupo wasted no time in replying it. Agitation flared up in her and she stopped, spinning around to glare at him. Before she'd even gotten a word in edgewise he'd already spoken up yet again.

A look of disbelief mingled with her obvious agitation. For a moment she remained quiet, shaking her head. How he'd managed to drive so far under her skin so quickly left her baffled. Even the softer tone of voice he'd used did little to placate her, despite whatever intention he might have had. Instead it only fueled the fire in her belly further.

"You know what? No," Aries started. "You make it clear that you don't trust me at all and now you come and act as if we're friends?! You can't have it both ways!"

She lowered her arm, slapping against her thigh. It was only a moment more when she shook her head, feeling hot with anger. Already she was finding it hard to sit still, spinning that Templar ring around her finger.

Aries spun on the ball of her foot and started off, her pace quick to accommodate how she felt about the entire situation. If she had to be truthful, this entire situation was her fault. If she hadn't chosen to delve into the Templars like this then she would not be in this position at all.

Elda wasn't sure how far she could explain these things to Angelica. She feared the doctor might catch wind of it, after all. Unable to really understand his movements, she had to wonder if Angelica would suffer for that. Perhaps even Elda would be punished.

She shook those thoughts as quickly as they had come. They left her cold to the core, unsure of what her best move was now. The passed few days were like this.

"Business." She answered. "I suppose."

She gnawed at her lip, wondering if he was hiding about. Elda shook her head a moment afterward, glancing at Angelica again. The words left her sighing, feeling guilty. Eventually, she spared one last glance around before motioning toward her. It wouldn't be long before she motioned toward the back.

Only when they were safely in the back did she spare a glance outside again. "Look," she started, motioning toward the woman. "This doctor...he did something and I saw it, alright? And because of that, he's been lording it above my head in a bid to act as his...delivery girl, I suppose."

Elda shook her head slightly after that. "He's dangerous. So please, keep this to yourself."

Il Lupo was a little taken aback by the outburst. Of course, he expected this sooner or later. Such a weak prod however; that was what left his mind whirling.

He shook his head, folding his arms over his chest. He ignored those who passed them by. Some stopped and stared, wondering what had happened. He ignored them, just as he knew Aries was doing.

It didn't take her long to turn away from him again. He tried to follow after, figuring out something to say. He wasn't sure why this was so important to him. A tinge of worry was there, a tinge he tried to quash quickly.

"Perhaps I wish to be your friend." He shot back, trailing behind her. "That is obvious if you wish for it."

Il Lupo knew that this was a break neck change. If he had to make up some excuse to why, he would. He still had his suspicions but he couldn't deny wanting to be around her, as a friend as well.

He mentally cursed himself for prodding her so much yesterday. It gave him time to get to know her, good or bad side. He was still learning of some part of her. That was a mistake, he was all too aware.

Angelica waited, patiently as she could as Elda took her time answering. She seemed troubled, the way she gnawed at her lip always gave it away. This caused the worry to settle back on her shoulders about Elda. Had something happened?

"What kind of business...?" she ventured.

For a long moment Angelica wasn't sure she was going to get an answer. Elda was fidgeting in that way again, looking around at all of the crowds. Finally Angelica was motioned to follow, back behind the counter and away from any curious folk.

Brow furrowing, Angelica followed, glancing over her shoulder. Was there something seriously wrong here?

When Elda began to explain, Angelica could feel her eyes widen. It took a long moment before she could find the words, her head tipping to one side.

"But if that's the case, would he really do something to you?" she wondered. "Seems like a lot of trouble to get you started and then just... not."

It seemed like the best way to put it, though Angelica didn't know the full story. She wondered if she ever would. Fear began to swell in her chest. Would she lose her friend during all of this?

"My lips are sealed! Promise."

With how closely he'd been following at her side it was easy to see the surprise on his face. The shadows only did their job from afar, after all. Up close as she was, Il Lupo couldn't hide it from her, caught off guard as he'd been.

Those who'd stopped to watch what argument might play out did little to register to Aries. They were merely people who made up at the crowd at this point and nothing more. It was only a moment before she'd started off, still seething. She hadn't been this angry since her time as a new Assassin recruit, when Demitri had prodded her in the wrong way.

She shook her head, a sigh escaping her as Il Lupo spoke up. Aries had half-hoped he'd just leave. It was a silly hope, when she reflected on it, however. Jaw set, she shot another withering glare his way, though it seemed to do little to effect him.

"Why?" she shot back, unable to keep her hands still. She gestured and pointed and on more then one occasion she would let them drop hard enough to slap against her thighs. "Just yesterday you weren't above harassing me and the day before that you were quite clear on your thoughts of me!"

Aries was unable to figure out just what he wanted. One moment he was working to portray her as a traitor and the next he was attempting to be friends? Why the sudden change of pace? Perhaps in hr anger she was missing something, a piece to connect the two. As it stood it only left her more frustrated.

Elda folded her hands, shaking her head. She didn't want to give too much information. If she did, Angelica could be under threat. She glanced outside again, if only for a moment.

"It's hard to explain and I can only give so much." She answered. "I fear for both of us."

She knew nothing of the doctor other then he was a murder. The slight prods had left her mood sour and he seemed to enjoy that fact. From what she could see, he was a sadist. Elda could only assume.

"Good," she answered after a few moments. "It's best to stay that way. I don't want him causing problems for you as well."

It was enough that Elda was already stuck in all of this. If Angelica got mixed up as well, she would feel nothing but guilt. If she could avoid that, she would.

Il Lupo followed behind. She was silent again, perhaps mulling it all over. He tried not to let that bother him. It was enough that he was bothered this much anyways. He didn't need anymore.

He puffed out another sigh, shaking his head. Things hadn't gone well. His ploy would only work if he could get closer to her. If he had to be her friend and alley to do so, he would.

That was if she would allow it now. Il Lupo mentally cursed himself for prodding too much. At this rate, he would simply have to lay in wait to see her slip up.

"Perhaps I should leave you to your thoughts?" He suggested after a few long moments. "It very well seems I am not doing much to help you here."

If she wanted to go off on her own, she would. Il Lupo would pull back, for the moment. He didn't want to push too much now. He had to be careful.

Angelica took to clasping her hands, shifting from foot to foot as Elda spoke. It was all so worrisome! Was this doctor reasonable at all or was Elda trapped? Whatever was the case it seemed Angelica wasn't going to learn anymore.

"I'm more worried for you," Angelica admitted. "You're the one he's latched onto, right?"

If anything that was more cause for worry than anything else. What did this delivery he was making Elda pick up for him have in it? Angelica was afraid to know.

She bobbed her head from one side to the next, her eyes fixated on her hands. Angelica didn't know what else to say on the matter. Was there any way for Elda to speak to this doctor was he simply too intimidating or dangerous? Angelica didn't want to suggest anything that got her into trouble with someone who might hurt her.

"Is there no way to speak to him?" The look on Elda's face caused Angelica's to shake her head. "Not me! But you. Couldn't you try to reason with him somehow...?"

Aries didn't have to look behind her before she'd whirled around to have known Il Lupo had been following her. Even before she'd whirled around again it had been obvious. Why would he wander off? He was arrogant-no, cocky and he felt entitled to everything. At least, that was the way he'd come across to Aries.

It took everything she had not to storm off when Il Lupo sighed. If he thought this was troublesome how did he think she felt? She was stressed enough as it was, even after only a few days in the Templar fold, sniffing around for potential information.

The look of disbelief was back on her face when Il Lupo finally did speak up. Her jaw was clenched, and a gusty sigh escaped her in place of any sort of answer for a long moment.

"Now you fucking care-!!"

She stopped before she said more, eyes closed for a brief moment as she covered her mouth. A deep breath later Aries would speak up, still riled up.

"Do whatever you want! I don't care! I have more important things than you to stress about right now!"

Whether her words would leave any sort of effect on Il Lupo Aries didn't wait to see. Instead she'd already spun on the ball of her foot and headed off again. She had no patience as it was with him and the way he'd so calmly come about like everything was alright only pushed it all further.

Elda gave a simple shake of her head at the suggestion. She spared another glance outside. He could be anywhere. She feared that the most.

"It's...not that simple." She answered after a few moments. "Essentially, I believe this man thinks of me as a toy. Something to be used and discarded when I've broken."

She puffed out a small sigh, unsure of how far she should go about it. It was enough with what she had said. Anymore might put Angelica in danger as well.

"I can only deal with his presence." She carried on after a moment. "Nothing more then that."

Fear was what left her doing so. If he had any intention of harming her, he lorded it above her head. As long as she cooperated, she would be safe. At least, she prayed she would be.

Il Lupo folded his arms behind his back again. He waited for her to do or say something. It was quiet between them for quite some time. He tried to watch her expression and demeanor.

Finally, she heaved a heavy sigh, catching his attention once more. He waited for her to speak again, trying to prepare himself for whatever reaction he might receive. The last few had shown she was clearly angry with the change of pace.

The words shouted at him left him a tad unsure of what to think. One moment she was telling him to leave her be, the next, to do as he pleased. It seemed neither could make up their mind.

He put it in the back of his head, halting as she stalked off. Glancing at the rooftops, he heaved a heavy sigh. It looked like, for a long while, he would have to do this the hard way.

Discreetly, he wandered off himself. He would watch from the rooftops. It would be the most he could manage for the time.

Angelica wasn't sure what to say or do. Everything she suggested seemed to be the wrong thing. Was there even a right thing to do? Angelica shook her head, uncertain of even that.

"I don't know," Angelica said after a moment. "It seems an awful lot like you've lost your spark."

She'd noticed it, the new arrangements out for sale not as pretty or interesting than those Elda had made before. Was it because of this doctor's presence looming over her? Angelica wouldn't have been surprised if that was very well the case. Perhaps it had seeped into Elda as well, leaving her this shell of herself.

After a moment, Angelica motioned for the streets. "Why don't we go for that walk? It'll help clear your head."

Whatever this doctor's goal was with Elda, Angelica could only hope it did not mean she'd lose her friend.

Aries wasn't sure where she was headed now. Plans for the day had been put on hold as they were. Just because she'd shouted at Il Lupo didn't mean he wouldn't possibly keep an eye on her anyways. Her feet had a mind of their own, taking her down this street and that.

People left her be, perhaps due to the look on her face. All the better for Aries. She wasn't sure if she could keep her cool if someone else decided to confront her at the moment.

The walk did little to cool her head. Nothing to distract her with, Aries found herself seething over the same thing over and over. It left her unable to think clearly, to watch her surroundings. In the end it didn't matter much, considering she wasn't aiming to do anything.

Eventually she came to a bench, empty of anyone. Aries took the opportunity to sit, arms folded over her chest and her leg bobbing up and down. She'd never been able to sit still when she was mad. This was no exception.

She'd spend time here, attempting to ignore the thoughts that flew through her head. It was difficult, even as she watched those around her.

Elda frowned, hanging her head slightly. She knew it was true enough. The doctor lingering about left her nerves shot. Because of this, she suffered and her work suffered. If it kept up like this, who knew what would happen.

She couldn't find much to say in return to that however. She was right, that was all there was to it. If it was obvious to her, it was obvious to anyone else who moved down this way.

Elda glanced out into the crowd again. The doctor was still not there. Perhaps leaving for a short time would be a good idea. What was the worst he could do?

"Sure," she finally answered. "I think I need that much."

Elda let her hands fall back to her sides, hesitating before she'd start forward. Closing the stand for a while wouldn't hurt anyone. It wasn't like she was making many sales anyways.

Savio had observed a distance. The Templar, Il Lupo had been following Aries for quite some time. It wasn't until she had snapped at him several times over did the Templar finally relent and move on.

He shook his head at this, carefully moving through the crowds. Running his hand through his dark hair, he puffed out a sigh. Aries was annoyed, no doubt angry with the position she was in.

Following for quite some time after, she had finally seated herself on a bench. Savio spared a glance around before he approached her. Sitting down beside her, he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.

"I take it things are going well?" He inquired quietly.

By the look of her face, it was the opposite. Savio knew that this was a tough job. She had to kill one of their own just to keep trust. Who knew how many others would have to meet that fate as well.

"What was the Templar doing with you just now?" He inquired further. "He looked as if he was a lost puppy!"

The least he could do was attempt to lighten her mood. The worst thing that could happen was she could snap at him. That wasn't so much of a problem for him to deal with.

Angelica sighed, patting Elda's shoulder. The way she looked so defeated was hard to see. Unless they could come up with some idea to make her safer than what else could be done? Angelica was drawing blanks as it was.

She spared a strained smile at Elda, leading the way back out. She worried about this doctor. Would Elda leave a note behind or not? Angelica supposed it was none of her business, though she worried greatly.

"Then let's be off!" she said, pushing herself to be chipper. Elda needed it.

"Why don't we go towards the main square? We can at least see the fountains there," Angelica offered.

Really, she'd leave it up for Elda to decide. She was the one who needed a pick-me-up, after all.

Aries had spared little thought to the one seated next to her. It wasn't as if it was someone in the robes of an Assassin, after all. When he did speak up, Aries had to fight to keep from reacting right away, the voice familiar.

A quick discreet glance his way told Aries enough. So one of her own was wandering the crowds at the time. At least it was a familiar face. Savio was at least someone to talk to.

Arms folded over her chest, leg still bobbing up and down, Aries would speak up, keeping her voice down. Her head remained bowed, as if glaring at the ground. "It would be better," she began, "if the mangy mutt would quite sniffing around."

Savio was quick to speak again. Aries never thought she'd appreciate the conversation so much, even if the topic was about the one who'd soured her mood so badly. It at least let her vent in some way, a way that wouldn't rat out her true allegiance.

Her lip quirked up in a half-smirk, a scoff escaping her. The idea of the famed Il Lupo looking like a lost puppy was amusing in itself.

"He's being a thorn in my side," Aries admitted. "Now he claims to want to be friends."

She was silent for a moment more. With Savio to talk with it was easier to clear her head. Even still, it was hard to tell what Il Lupo's game might be.

"He has made it more than clear that he does not trust me," Aries said softly. "Unless I'm missing something obvious I can't figure out what he hopes to gain."

Elda tried to spare a small smile in response to her words. Angelica tried to keep herself chipper, surely for Elda's sake. She couldn't help but be worried however, and that left her own mood down trodden.

She motioned toward her to take the lead. If the doctor was bothered that she didn't leave a note, she would deal with it later. If he needed her so terribly, he would come looking.

Elda figured a risk or two might show his true intentions, after all. She just hoped it wouldn't end badly.

"The main square would be nice." She answered after a few moments. "I haven't sat around the fountains in a while. Of course, perhaps you merely want to stay there to look at a few cute men, hmm?"

Elda would try to remain a little chipper, if anything, to ease her friends worries. She couldn't have her worrying herself sick over something Elda had gotten into herself.

Savio listened carefully. At least he'd managed to get some kind of smile back on her face, as small as it was. She had always been quite a cheerful type. He always felt that when she wasn't in a good mood, it wasn't right.

He hummed in response, a thoughtful expression on his face. So Il Lupo had taken up suspicions on her. Why wouldn't he? He just hoped there wouldn't be too many others.

"Perhaps he's making attempts to get close to you." He answered. "Looking for ways to get you to slip up."

He leaned back, letting his hands fall onto his knees. He shook his head a moment later.

"If he's suspicious, there will be others." He added. "I'm sure you know that much already. Clever girl."

Savio tilted his head slightly, thinking it over. A small smile tugged at his lips, glancing back toward her. It could easily work for the both of them, he figured, as long as she played her cards right.

"Have you considered doing the same?" He inquired. "Get close to him and gather the information we need, hmmm?"

It was an idea in the end. Aries would have to use all she could to gather this information. It was simply a matter of using what she had.

Angelica took to leading, only after Elda motioned for her to. A frown lined her lips at this. That hadn't been her plan! She'd even waited for Elda to start forward. So much for that.

The way Elda was trying hard to keep Angelica happy did little to ease her worry. Still, she smiled and tried to play along. Perhaps it could do them both some good now.

"Well, perhaps you could do with a strapping young man yourself!" Angelica teased.

It was a nice change of conversation, though the worries still lingered. Angelica was sure they were worse for Elda. Little could be done about it unless the doctor lost interest or Elda chose to act out. Until then Angelica could only try to lighten the mood.

She gestured to a few around them as they walked. There were all sorts of men in Roma to be found. Angelica liked to think that eventually Elda would find someone eventually. Perhaps then something could be done about this doctor!

Aries shook her head, a sigh escaping her at the suggestion. Why would he resort to such trickery when it would be simpler to just tail her had he must have been before? It all just seemed so needless!

"There are simpler ways than this!" she answered, her voice kept low.

Savio's mention of others who might be suspicious didn't surprise her. In fact, Aries was counting on it. There would always be suspicions. It was just combating them, avoiding the ones who suspected her for what she was. Aries was just glad that she was only dealing with one of them face to face.

Her brow rose as she watched Savio, a smile stretching over his lips. Aries knew that look well. Whatever idea he'd been struck with, she wouldn't wait long to hear it.

A distasteful expression crossed her face. She wasn't one for things like that!

"There are simpler ways than-than this!" Aries hissed yet again, unable to come up with a proper argument.

The look on Savio's face told her he was very for this idea of his. Another sigh escaped her, shoulders sagging. And here she'd hoped for a less stressful idea!

"I wouldn't even know how to start!"

Elda hummed in response, clasping her hands together. She had never been the type to look for a relationship, as lonely as she was. Too many used pretty words to charm a lady into a one night stand. She wanted something more then that. It often left her mistrustful and unsure of their intentions.

"They will see you more so than me." She answered, trying to keep her tone light. "I've not been looking however."

She spared a glance around though, nothing more then that. A few rather handsome men passed by, the ones Angelica had already pointed out. Elda spared a smile and nothing more.

Despite trying to quash her worries, she still felt sick to her stomach. She wondered if it would ever be normal again.

Savio offered a chuckle in response to her words. When she became worked up, she got rather animated. This was no different. The mere suggestion of getting close to that man brought out this attitude in her.

He offered a shrug of his shoulders in response. Motioning to her, he carried on. "Truth be told. Still, perhaps playing the same game in it's own way is simple."

It was obvious this man was already extending a hand of friendship to her. He felt she should take the chance while she had it.

"You may not have another opening later on," he said lightly. "I'd suggest making the move. Of course, that is merely what I think."

He couldn't speak for the both of them. Aries had her own thoughts and feelings. She very well might not be comfortable with the idea in a whole. Savio simply wanted to make her time in enemy territory a tad easier.

"Nonsense!" Angelica cried. "You've had your fair share of admirers in the past!"

It was true though Elda had denied many of them. Either that or she had not been seeing what Angelica had from the sidelines. She shook her head. Perhaps now Angelica might be able to find someone for Elda to speak to!

Elda had already spared a look around and though there was a polite smile shared with one of them there was no interest otherwise. Angelica sniffed. She'd just have to find someone when they got to the main square!

"Perhaps you just need a helping hand," she noted, smiling brightly at Elda. "Leave it to me!"

Picking up her pace she lead them off. She'd even be sure to keep an eye out for any guys that Elda might spare a passing glance at. Perhaps that would be the key to it!

Savio chuckling and shrugging as he was did little to ease her mind. Il Lupo was digging under her skin and it was obvious. Having to put that side in favor of playing this game of his? Aries wasn't sure if she'd even be able to set aside her distaste to do so.

She heaved a sigh, running a hand through her hair. She couldn't deny that Savio had a point, begrudgingly as she might be about it.

"You sound like Demitri," Aries muttered. A pause. "Tell me, has anyone been found to replace Gino?"

If nothing else she could find out from Savio, though she would be surprised if that was the case. If there were others running about and sticking their nose into Templar business as she was then they could ease the suspicions off of each other. Until then, Aries was on her own.

She was quiet for a moment, debating on what to do. Aries had hoped that speaking with a friendly face would ease things. Instead, it only left her with more to mull over.

Finally, she shook her head, heaving herself up onto her feet. "You owe me a drink after this!" she said, and with that she was off to go find Il Lupo.

Elda blinked, trying to think back to the others that had taken interest in her. She couldn't help but scoff lightly in amusement, shaking her head. When all was said and done, the moves they had made told her enough.

"They had many pretty words to use." She responded. "But they had no intention in love."

She blinked as Angelica picked up her pace. Her heart seemed to jump to her throat, trying to follow after. She was tired and still felt a bit sluggish. Knowing her, she already had something in mind.

"That's quite alright!" Elda responded quickly. "There's no need for that, really, it's alright!"

Angelica didn't stop, despite her words. When she set her mind to it, there was no stopping her. Elda wasn't sure what she'd do this time. Her stomach was already twisting in knots, trying to figure it out.

Savio spared her a gentle smile. He reached out and ruffled her hair. She was distressed as it was. His prodding probably didn't help. Still, he hoped she realized he had a bit of a point. They had to get moving on this as soon as they could.

He chuckled in response to her words. It wasn't the first time that comparison had come up.

"Yes well, I'm sure you'd rather deal with me." He joked lightly in answer.

The topic quickly changed. Savio cleared his throat, shaking his head. Normally it would have been a quick affair to find a replacement. For the moment, they were taking their time.

"Not yet." He said. "But I'm sure we won't have to wait for long."

He leaned forward again, waiting on her to speak up again. She was mulling over something or other. He didn't mind. The most he could do at the moment was offer advice and listen to her frustrations.

Several minutes passed before she would finally speak again. Savio blinked at her, taken aback for a moment, before a grin spread across his lips.

"It'll be on me." He answered lightly in response. "Do what you must, Aries. It should not be so difficult for you."

Angelica waved Elda's words off. She was always so cynical!

"Sometimes you just need to start cold!" she said matter-of-factly. "You don't get love right away!"

She couldn't stop the grin from spreading over her face as Elda trailed after her. It hadn't been her intention but it seemed to have pushed the rest of her worries away for the time being. At least for the moment they could have a normal time of it.

Angelica's gaze darted here and there, keeping an eye out for any potential men to push Elda to speak with. Angelica would hang by, ready to step in if things did not turn out right, however. Elda was stressed enough as is, she just wanted hr to have something to look forward to now.

Up ahead she could spy the main roads. It wouldn't be long now, a quick turn and another street away and Angelica could spy the fountains that they liked to sit by. Many people milled around over there as it was, coming and going or just taking a moment out of their day to rest and converse.

"I think I see some you'd like already, Elda!" Angelica crowed, grinning over her shoulder at the other woman.

Aries sighed as Savio ruffled her hair. It seemed to be a common occurrence with many she knew. In the end Aries had long since stopped trying to get them to quit it. In a way it was something of comfort now.

She nodded slowly, wondering who the next one would be. Aries supposed there was no time to dwell on it, not when she had her own batch of troubles. It was much harder to play the part of double agent then to remain solely on one side, after all.

"Keep in touch, alright?" Aries said. "It's blinding being on this side."

As she left, Aries tossed a look of her shoulder at Savio. She wasn't sure what he meant by it not being difficult for her though if Aries lingered she'd lose what little resolve she had. Savio had a point, even if she hated to admit it. Now the only thing was to track down Il Lupo.

Aries wasn't sure where to start. She had little inkling of where he lived or the places he preferred to stop by. It would either be a long day tracking him down or she'd catch a lucky break.

Elda pushed her hair from her face, gnawing at her lip. She wasn't quite sure of this, never had been. She wasn't one to interact with many people, especially men. She was shy and rather modest.

She understood love didn't happen right away. Elda simply didn't want to give anyone her feelings if they didn't share them in return. It seemed a waste, just to get crushed in the end.

The square was coming up now. Elda shook her head, ducking her head slightly. What was more, what if the doctor found out? A significant other might be just as easily a target as she was.

"I-it really is okay, Angelica." She tried to press. "I don't know if this is a good idea."

She spared a glance around. Both men and women milled about the square, too many of them. She swallowed her nervousness or at least, made attempts to. A lump seemed to remain lodged in her throat, regardless.

Il Lupo had kept an eye on Aries. A man had stopped near her, sat down and started to speak. Their words were hushed. Il Lupo couldn't hear them. Still, he sat and wait, watching the pair.

His head tilted to one side, the obvious affection shared leaving him with the clue they knew each other. Still, who was he and how well did she know him? He'd have to find out at some point.

Lingering for quite some time, he would start forward on the rooftops before descending to the ground. He puffed out a sigh, rubbing his chin. There was much to ponder over.

Aries was up to something, he knew it. What connection did this man have to her? He scowled, unable to put the pieces together. Until he had more evidence, he couldn't present anything to the others.

Eventually, he shook his head, moving with the crowds. It would remain in the forefront of his mind, despite attempts to quash it all.
