Twilight Town. Zena had been here for as long as she could recall. It was a beautiful place at times, with kind people. She preferred solitude however, often taken to learning from her books. Discovering magic on her own was something she studied. It was also a well kept secret. No one was to know of it.

Her solitude often brought unwanted attention from Seifer and his gang. They were thugs, in her opinion; even if they could have their good moments. Regardless, she ignored them and favored Roxas and his friends over the others. They weren't close, but they still considered her as a member of their 'gang'.

Things started to change however. Little by little, she took notice to odd creatures. At first, she believed her eyes were playing tricks on her. She discovered later that this was not true. These creatures were real and they intended to bring havoc in their wake.

Zena wasn't sure of what to do. She wasn't sure if she could do anything. She laid low and waited, however. Maybe someone else would take notice too. Maybe she wasn't the only one...

MiMi let out a small sigh as she walked down the road, her arms sour and her back aching. The most strangest of things occurred in her life some time ago. A mysterious object appeared onto her arm that seemed heavier than a cement stone. Just from trying to drag the very circular object up seemed to cause immense pain onto her arm and back. Now she was cursing in her mind how that 'thing' shouldn't have appeared the way it did. That wasn't even the beginning to the strange events happening in her life.

Strange white creatures would appear for moments at a time before disappearing from eyesight. It would startle her every time she caught sight of the strange apparitions and still leave her shaken after they disappeared. The brown haired girl shoved her hands in her jacket pockets and shifted her shoulders up. A feeling was arising inside of her - something alerting her that things were beginning to become her own personal nightmare.

MiMi was hoping that she wasn't the only one that noticed things were growing strange. A sigh released from her lips as she wasn't even paying attention to where she was going. The girl was all alone in this town... she honestly had no one to talk to. Even if she did, she still wouldn't come out of her shell.

Her heart jumped as she looked up. A flash of white dashed around the corner. "H--Huh...?" she whispered to herself, her brown irises widening in surprise.

Zena had been walking around town when she saw the white creature fly by. It had startled her, causing her to jump. Her thoughts broken, she stared in the direction it had gone. Slowly, her gaze had come. What was it after? She wasn't sure. She'd been seeing more and more of them lately. She tried to push it out of her mind, but it was always looming over head, like a dark storm.

Lingering for a moment, she watched, wondering if she'd see the thing again; or perhaps she would see another. She had left them be before. Now she wanted to know where they were going, what they wanted. It was a mystery she, for some reason, felt she needed to solve.

MiMi stood there for a moment, her heart hesitant and her thoughts unsure. She the girl follow after the strange creature or should she walk on - to pretend that she never had seen it? After much inner conflict the young girl gulped and released her hands out of her pocket. The young girl began to run the direction the strange creature went curiosity now becoming the best of her. Little had she known that she would cross paths with an unlikely beginning to a story she never thought would unfold.

Her footsteps halted in place as the white creature was out of her eyesight. MiMi's body turned in different directions unknown to the presence and dangerous aura lingering around the town. Brown irises scanned the area hastily before the young girl seemed to catch sight of a white flash turning around yet another corner leading down a flight of stairs to a cornered area surrounded by walls. "There... R--Right..." she whispered to herself a hand coming to her chest to stop the beating of her heart. MiMi wanted to run away in fear of finding out what exactly this creature was.

Would it hurt her? Or worse? What if this thing could hurt someone? What if she hadn't said a thing and the creature started to wreak havoc?

Many questions danced across the caverns of her mind, her body slightly shaking in the feeling of hesitation and fear.

Zena was about to give up waiting around, simply follow the thing and see if she could pick up the trail. She had her doubts but it never stopped her from trying. As she was just about to head in the direction the creature went, another girl raced by her. Zena stared as she watched the other female disappear, her eyes wide with confusion.

"Hey, wait!" She called after her, quickly taking to running as well.

She wondered if this girl was chasing after the same thing. Had she seen it, could there be someone else? If that was the case, maybe she knew more about them than Zena did. Or perhaps not. Regardless, if someone else could see them as she did, she wanted to know. She didn't want to be the only one. She felt as if it was a burden on her shoulders. Sharing this burden, it would make her feel lighter.

So she followed the female, in hopes that she was chasing the same white creature as Zena was.

"Hey, wait!" a voice yelled. MiMi turned her head to find another girl running to her. It was a rather surprising discovery to find this stranger calling to her. The young girl looked to the secluded area where the mysterious white creature had disappeared into and to Zena. The young girl shoved her hands in her pockets and spoke, waiting a moment or two after the girl caught up to her.

"U--Um..."

She spoke up before letting her thoughts wander. Did she see that creature as well? Was she just like her? Would it hurt to ask? "Did you... perhaps... see anything strange?" she asked brushing a foot against the ground.

MiMi stretched out the word strange to perhaps get the message across. Strands of brown hair shifted as she once again brushed her foot against the ground. Her shoulders shrugged upwards as she looked to the ground, her hands swaying back and forth.

Zena panted, taking a moment to catch her breath. She listened to MiMi speak, a small shy voice. What she had said lifted Zena slightly.

"You've seen them too, than?" She responded with a smile. "I'm not the only ones who's seen those things."

Zena placed her hand over her heart, breathing a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank goodness, I'm not the only one. I was beginning to think I'd lost it with those white creatures running about."

One question had been answered. One still remained, however. "Do you know what those things are?

The fact still remained. She didn't know what they were or why they were here. All she knew was they were beings that were disrupting her home somehow. The sense of normality had drifted away. Zena felt like this ever since the creatures appeared. It was unnerving and she wanted answers.

"You've seen them too, than?" At this MiMi nodded her head. Her heart was slowly becoming at ease. "I'm not the only ones who's seen those things." A smile had dawned upon her lips. The girl didn't give off any hostile behavior and she seemed friendly enough. Plus, this girl was just like her - them both seeing the same strange creatures. "Oh, thank goodness, I'm not the only one. I was beginning to think I'd lost it with those white creatures running about." A soft chuckle escaped from the brown haired girl's lips.

"Nope. I--I'm thankful that someone else can see them, too."

MiMi took a quick glance to the small square area before back to Zena.

"Do you know what those things are?"

MiMi frowned and shook her head to the question. "Sorry... I don't know what they are myself. I--I saw one go into that secluded area and followed it, but then I heard you and stopped." she explained. "I'm... a bit scared to go there." she added on with a nervous expression overtaking her features.

Zena nodded in silent response. MiMi had the right mind set to be afraid of them. Neither knew what they were or what they were capable of in the first place. It was taking a chance simply by following the creatures.

"Have you tried to follow them further though?" She inquired again. "Maybe things would become clearer if we did..."

The suggestion hung in the air for a moment. Zena knew she was taking a risk - she had by simply following one this far. She wanted to know what they were however; why they were here. The mystery hung over her head and it only seemed to deepen as time went on.

What this elder girl - or so she assumed - had said before her surprised her. "Have you tried to follow them further though?" MiMi felt her heart jump in fear of the suggestion. "Maybe things would become clearer if we did..."

What if she was right? Was it in her right mind to go any further? MiMi was a cowardly type of person and timid none at that. She looked to the ground and began to think, her eyes shifting in random directions as she began to ponder on the idea. After much deliberation with herself, the brown haired girl spoke up with a stutter or two.

"Y--Your right. It seems like the most logical thing w--we can do about it. S--So... um... Let's go down there then." she replied with a point of the small flight of stairs that led to the square secluded area. MiMi gulped, a sound being emitted slightly and she began to take small steps toward the staircase, stopping a moment to wait for Zena to see if she would follow.

"Hey," Zena began. "Don't worry too much. We'll be alright."

With that said, she began toward the stairs. Admittedly, she was a little afraid herself. That voice inside her head told her this was a bad idea. It probably was, in all honestly. But she had seen these things too often to care at the moment.

Taking small steps, one stair at a time, she looked about. She turned her head to see if MiMi was following. Thankfully, she was. Zena worried that she'd be left alone, get ditched when things got too loud, so to speak. If MiMi were to run, Zena wasn't sure what she would do. She panicked easily, despite her calm appearance.

Inhaling deeply, she attempted to calm herself, ward away thoughts that would slow her down.

MiMi wasn't sure what to think. What would be awaiting beyond that secluded area? "Hey," Zena had began, causing MiMi to shrug her shoulders upwards as her muscles tensed. "Don't worry too much. We'll be alright."

MiMi followed behind Zena closely, not wanting her to go down all by herself. It would be unfair if she were to run now. Plus, she could see these strange creatures as well. She couldn't turn back now. If she left Zena behind, that would be unfaithful, and worst of all, she could get hurt.

The brown haired girl's system tensed as she neared the ending of the stairs and took careful observations as they neared the small secluded clearing. There it was - the white mysterious creature with its body swaying as it stood there. It seemed to be awaiting their arrival, this creature's patience unbelievable. MiMi felt chills slide down her very spine as she caught sight of the creature.

Unusual sounds of it's swaying echoed through her eardrums as it flinched once. A voice then seemed to echo through the small area as if she and Zena could only hear it.

The darkness awaits you.

More then appeared in flashes of white, their bodies swaying in different directions. "Oh no..." MiMi let out as a circle was formed by the creatures known as Nobodies - trapping them.

Zena's stomach lurched at the sudden change of events. Surrounded by these white creatures, she suddenly became very afraid for her safety and for the safety of her acquaintance. These creatures, for whatever reason, had suddenly taken the offence rather than running as they normally would have. Zena didn't know what to make of this.

She stepped backward, her gaze shifting about quickly. "Think this might have been a bad idea." She attempted to jest with a nervous smile on her lips. "Curiosity killed the cat, right?"

She paused at the sound of whispered words. Something about the darkness. She didn't quite understand what this monster had meant. She wasn't going to worry about it; not now at least. What was important was getting herself and MiMi out of harms way.

Gritting her teeth, she grabbed onto MiMi's wrist firmly. She made a mad dash to get passed the monsters. Several swayed in such a fast motion, Zena lost sight of them. They were fast, moving more like air.

Weaving around them, she tried not to get hit or allow MiMi to get hit either.

"We've got to get out of here!" She shouted back to MiMi, glancing toward the female.

Attempting to follow the path they had taken, Zena glanced back to their pursuers only once. Her stomach twisted in knots when she saw how many were still following. She made a hard turn, trying to shake them but the white creatures did not seem to falter.

"How are you supposed to escape from something that moves like the wind?!" She shouted in frustration.

MiMi didn't know what to do in this situation. She was too startled - too boggled - to process the proper thinking pattern in this situation. Her heart was leaping inside of her chest at the danger she and her acquaintance were in. Her head turned to Zena as she spoke not being able to come up with a reliable response. A nod of her head was instead the only response a lump sliding down her throat indicating a gulp she had made.

MiMi had let out a small gasp as her wrist was grabbed and did her best to follow after Zena and match the speed and pacing of her footsteps. The creatures swirled to escape the direction Zena had made the dash for before recovering, and soon enough following the two girls.

Glad they made it unscathed for a moment and out into the open area of Twilight Town the brown haired girl sighed for a moment before turning her head and meeting the many swerving bodies of the Dusks that were pursuing them.

"We've got to get out of here!" Zena shouted which caused MiMi to turn her head and meet her acquaintances eyes for a moment nodding her head.

Following the girl to the best of her ability, MiMi was panting and keeping up with Zena to the best of her ability. She had never thought this would happen to her or anyone else. It was horrible no matter how someone looked at it. The girl didn't even want to think about what would happen if those strange creatures caught up with them.

"How are you supposed to escape from something that moves like the wind?!"

The brown haired girl turned back once more and felt her throat tighten in fear before turning back and starting to run a bit faster now beside Zena. "H--How about we go up that slope?" she hollered pointing a finger at the slope that would lead them to a district of Twilight Town that inhabited more shops. The area would then lead them to the Clock Tower or even an alleyway they could hide in.

Zena sucked in a breath, her lungs burning. She lifted her gaze toward the place Mimi had pointed out. It was a shot, but it was better than nothing. There was no telling how long these creatures would follow. Worrying about it didn't do them much. She shook it from her mind and started toward the area though her legs protested as she pushed them.

Zena pulled Mimi up the hill only halting when they were at the top. She allowed herself time to catch her breath, her lungs burning with the action. The creatures, whatever they were, were no where to be seen. Zena scanned the area, searching them out but found nothing in response.

Only than did she let herself flop onto the ground, releasing a heavy sigh afterward. She wiped sweat from her brow, her body trembling with both the effort and adrenaline that pumped through her veins.

"Okay," she began, glancing up at the younger woman beside her. "I think we can both say that curiosity might have nearly gotten us killed..."

Regardless, Zena did her best to reign herself in. She pushed her thick framed glasses to the brim of her nose, attempting to calm her breath and pounding heart. She still scanned the area, unwanting to trust that they had lost those strange creatures.

"One things for sure," she broke the silence again. "We certainly didn't get any other answers aside from these things are hostile..."

What courage MiMi contained slipped away as she ran not being able to bear to look back at the creatures that were chasing the two. Their slippy white forms glided through the air as they kept to their targets flawlessly moving without question.

The ascent up the hill began. MiMi's legs pushed as they climbed the slope as fast as her body allowed her to. Her lungs burned with each step as she followed behind Zena closely. After what seemed like moments of running to safety the creatures disappeared from their sight. Catching up on breaths she looked to Zena whom fell to the ground with a heaved sigh.

Adrenaline pumped through her blood as she gazed back to the direction from whence they just game. Not a disturbance could be made out nor seen. Finally looking down to Zena MiMi released her own sigh before plopping down onto the ground herself.

"Okay. I think we can both say that curiosity might have nearly gotten us killed..."

With a nod of her head the young woman replied. "Y-Yeah. I don't know what those things were but..." She halted in her sentence as she stared off into the distance once more. "I-I just don't want to face those creatures again..."

Silence soon followed the two as MiMi was trying to regain her strength. All the young woman could do was simply catch her breath and sit on the cold cobble stone ground. The sunset gleamed from a distance it's soft, blanketing light enveloping the town. All was quiet once more in the town, and the Nobodies didn't seem to appear to taint it.

"One things for sure. We certainly didn't get any other answers aside from these things are hostile..."

With a simple nod MiMi pushed herself slowly off the ground. "Well... I-I can certainly say that we both need to be careful." she said to Zena offering a hand to the woman to help her off the ground.

Soft clicks echoed through the dead area of the town square of Twilight Town. Shifting Axel crossed his arms as his eyes led him to the slope that led to the markets. The Nobody had taken quite the surprise when the two were affected by Twilight's Town sudden change. The fake town built for him seems to be affecting more people than he thought.

With a smirk crossing his lips, Axel seemed to have more to his mission than he assumed. One way or the other he had to take care of this problem. "Looks like I don't have one, but three mice to lead on."

Beginning to walk upon the slops he didn't mind what was around the corner. This illusion of a world had reached its end. He simply needed to take some loose pieces to the puzzle away. Keeping in mind he still needed to find Roxas, yet these two had come along. Heaving a sigh the fiery man shook his head almost reach the slope before entering the markets himself.

"Why do I always get stuck with the icky jobs?"

Zena heaved another sigh. It seemed they both needed to take time to regain their composure and she couldn't complain about that fact. She worried a little that she shouldn't have been so panicked. Being a little older then Mimi, she knew she should have at least considered her emotions as well. If she had panicked, it was more than likely that Mimi had responded in the same way, if not worse, because Zena had lost her cool.

Despite those thoughts, she attempted to shake it away. She was simply glad that they made it out alive. There was no telling what those creatures had in mind and Zena found that she didn't want to find out.

"Let's hope we won't have to," she responded, running a hand through her dark hair.

Zena didn't like the thought of it. In fact, she had no intention of chasing after those things again. Whatever they were, she figured it might be best to simply leave it be. They had no means of defense as it was, even with her knowledge on some spells. It wasn't like she had mastered or could even use them correctly. More times than not, they backfired on her anyways.

Zena offered a smile as she took Mimi's hand, pulling herself to her feet. After a moment, she patted her shoulder reassuringly. At least it seemed things were alright now. Or at least, she had thought so.

She stiffened at the sound of a voice, her gaze drifting toward someone entering the market as well. Zena pushed Mimi behind her, her heart suddenly racing again. This wasn't a familiar face at all. She furrowed her eyebrows, watching him carefully.

"Who are you?" she inquired carefully.

Neither could be sure of this man much less what his intentions were. He mentioned a 'job' but what had he meant by that? Zena found herself growing nervous at the thought of it.

Zena being older MiMi admitted that she reacted the same way the woman had. The situation was quite the epidemic. To her it would be simply a great idea if she didn't see those creatures again. Almost unable to lift the mysterious weapon that was acclaimed to her she wouldn't have been much help to Zena. The shield she acquired felt heavier than what she was accustomed to.

Shaking the thoughts away for now the young woman helped Zena to her feet looking up to the woman with a hint of worry in her gaze. Though with a reassuring pat from the woman she seemed to smile beginning to feel more comfortable as of the moment. All seemed to relax, but soon that was short lived.

The sound of a voice pierced her ear drums causing the brown haired woman to stiffen and shoot her gaze in the direction of the source. MiMi let out a slight gasp as she was pushed behind Zena, yet she did not move. Placing a grip on Zena's shoulder she gazed over to the mysterious figure approaching the two.

He didn't seem friendly at all. He carried a dark aura around him, and the gaze he held in his eyes was one of mixed intent. Whether it was one of good or ill intent she couldn't be sure. Gazing to Zena for but a moment she kept close to the woman staying behind her, and ready to make a break for it if the opportunity called for it.

Axel on the other hand was interested in the two women. With a smirk played onto his lips he seemed to not care at the moment for the demand of who he was. This only intrigued him, and it was definitely making his goal easier to complete as far as he was concerned. He had them both right here. He just needed only one of them for what he had in store.

Halting mere feet away from the two he tapped an index finger against the side of his head as he introduced himself. "The name's Axel," he presumed before spelling out his name to make sure it was indented in their memories. "A-X-E-L. Got it memorized?"

Inspecting the two he watched for their reactions crossing his arms as he simply smirked at the two. Though his eyes soon drifted to Zena the woman mainly capturing his attention for the way she was simply acting. Judging by her movements she seemed brave to protecting the other, and that in a way proved she indeed had a strong heart. All the more reason to make his choice easier.

"You shouldn't be out this late, you know? Certain things could happen if you're out late."

He emphasized his words purposely stretching them so one or the other could walk into his trap.

Zena swallowed hard, even as the man had introduced himself in a seemingly comical way. It was confident and he was making their position clear in her mind. At least, this was what she was reading from him. There was no telling in her mind.

She glanced back toward Mimi, steering the younger woman backward a little. Zena took a few steps back, her eyes darting from him to her quite often. She knew she couldn't afford to look away from him. She could be putting both their lives in danger if she did.

"I want you to run," she informed softly. "Get out of here. As far as you can manage. I'll take care of this."

Zena wandered how true those words would be. She wasn't exactly skilled, despite wanting to think that in a way she was. She was still learning, studying and hardly had a wrap on her skills. If it meant going up against this man, she doubted that she would last a fight.

Still, she had to at least attempt to distract him.

"Axel than," she answered, only in a bid to indulge the rather forced way he had spelled it out for them. "What is it you want?"

Zena mulled over the question and even his words. It had been a subtle warning and one that she grew ever more concerned over. She shot a glance back toward Mimi again, hoping that she would decide to run. If she stayed, it was very possible that they both could get hurt much less worse.

"You seem rather confident in yourself." she noted, turning her attention back toward the fiery haired male. Indeed he did, a slight smirk not yet leaving his lips. "I suppose you've some business with us?"

That much had been obvious. She could only hope that her slight distractions would help Mimi get away. If she had to put herself between this man and her, she would do so. She didn't want Mimi hurt over her curiosity. It had been her idea to chase after the creatures anyways. She could only assume they had something to do with this.

As the minutes dragged on Mimi grew more nervous. From what she could collect Axel he seemed to have more in mind than this simple greeting. Something was foul in the air, and that something drifted by awfully slow.

Her footsteps scratched the stone surface of the road as Zena began steering her farther away from the man. Unsure of how to react Mimi simply cooperated putting her trust into Zena. "Zena..." Mimi whispered the nervousness clear in her voice as she kept her gaze on Axel.

It wasn't a surprise that the two backed away slowly. He wasn't expecting them to listen so easily. He could decide to let one get away, and have the other in the palm of his hand. Then the smirk on his lips seemed to grow at the sudden thought. This was becoming easier than he had hoped it seems.

Edging closer to the two he waited for Mimi to make a run for it, eyeing the younger woman for her movements.

"I want you to run. Get out of here. As far as you can manage. I'll take care of this." Mimi looked to Zena in shock at her words unsure of how to react or what to do. Though Axel seemed to be edging closer his gaze fixated on her alone at the moment. "W-What about you...? I-I mean he's..." she hesitated her words unable to cooperate with her any longer as Axel kept edging closer to the two.

Finally Mimi pulled herself away and turned to run praying in her heart that Zena's words held true to what she said. With fear running through her veins locks of hair swayed against her features as she pushed up the hill and towards the clock tower unsure of what would await her when she reached the top.

As she ran she could hear Axel's words faintly as they were lastly directed to her from what she could gather.

Just as he presumed his gaze followed Mimi's retreated figure. "A young lady like you better watch yourself!" he hollered at her direction before turning to Zena. "You never know what might come at you suddenly." he hinted a certain gleam in his eyes that hinted about the events the two faced before.

White creatures then dashed out of the many ally way's and started climbing the slope of the hill chasing after her retreating figure. "She shouldn't have run..." he hinted looking up the slope. "Your friend seems to catch our Dusks attention." he presumed.

"Let me just say that you both are in for quite the ride."

Raising his arm his fingers twitched. The strands of red hair swayed in the wind the singing sound of fire began ringing. A swirl of orange and red began encircling at a rapid rate before finally taking a form and shape forming two individual chakrams fit for his comfort. Positioning himself into his stance Axel swiftly shifted his weapon repeatedly his gaze fixated on Zena. The red head planned to have a little fun before dragging said woman away from this world.

"Let me see though if you can... handle that ride."

Zena swallowed hard as Mimi took off only to be followed but what she assumed he had called 'Dusks'. Whatever they were, he seemed to know quite a bit about them. Was it possible that he controlled them or did they have their own mind? It seemed far too convenient that they would simply chase after her without a thought of there own. Than again, Zena was still questioning what they were entirely much less what this man named Axel knew of them.

She turned back toward him, her heart pounding in her chest loudly. He expected some kind of fight? Zena couldn't provide one, even if she had wanted to. She had left her staff behind that day. A stupid decision on her part after all that had happened. She hadn't quite expected those 'Dusks' to be as hostile as they were.

"Can you call them off?" She inquired a moment later, attempting to keep a calm head. Inside was a torrent of fear and questions. It was difficult to quash them. "What do I have to do for you to call them off?" She pointed toward where Mimi had gone. "She has nothing to do with this. I was the one who pestered her into coming with me."

Zena thought the words to be true. Mimi had gone with her out of curiosity as well. Despite that fact, she knew that Mimi didn't have to come along. If she hadn't, Zena might have been the only one who seemed to be in some form of danger.

She desperately wished that she could turn back time and make that possible.

Still, there was no telling. Whatever Axel wanted, it might have very well involved the both of them from the start. Zena hated that thought.

With each step the climb up the slopes grew more taxing. Adrenaline pumping, heart pounding; she just wanted this day to end. The open space of the plaza greeted her gaze as Mimi pushed herself into the open space. Finally stopping in her tracks Mimi rested her hands on her knees clutching them as she breathed heavily.

Soft gusts of wind brushed against her form the sunset shining as it blanketed the town. Her lungs burned for air each breath sucking in as much as it would allow her. For now she hoped that she was safe - that Zena was hopefully alright.

The moment was short lived as the white creature from before flashed in front of her eyesight. A yell escaping her lips Mimi straightened desperately inspecting the Dusks whereabouts. One after another touched the ground with ease and began shifting their bodies in an abnormal manner as they edged closer to her.

On instinct the young woman began backing away with each step the creatures took forward unsure of what to do in her predicament. Zena was still back there with that strange man, and maybe even worse. Questions crossed her mind as to what to do, what was going on, and many other questions that were unanswered.

This was all too much.

"W-What do I do...?"

Questioning herself Mimi's body touched the ledge that allowed one to gaze to the sunset. With hands slowly raising the brown haired woman felt that this was going to end horribly if she hadn't acted soon.

Axel sighed disappointment clearly shown on his features. "Can you call them off?" It seemed this would all end quicker than he had hoped. It seemed that he wouldn't receive his share of fun. When he was about to reply Zena's offer brightened his mood.

"What do I have to do for you to call them off?"

Shaking his head he raised his arm and slung his chakram over his left shoulder tapping the weapon against his back in thought. The same smug smirk was played on his lips as be began pacing himself. "I can't call them off. I don't have that kind of power." he informed the woman pointing a finger to the slope himself.

His gaze then turned to Zena as he stopped in his tracks. "Then again... I might." he jested with a playful smirk on his features. The chakrams that were once in his possession faded away into the air disappearing from eyesight. Nearing towards the woman he abruptly grabbed her wrist.

"If you want you're friend to escape unharmed all you need to do is come with me," Staring down at Zena his emerald green eyes pierced into hers as he gave his offer. "And it needs to stay that way for a little while." he added on tearing his gaze away to the clock tower for a short moment before down to Zena once more.

The smirk that he had on his features had all but slipped away into a frown.

Zena's heart thudded in her chest at that answer. His grip on her wrist might have been loose but she knew that would change if she attempted to pull away. She wasn't planning on it in the end anyways. Zena had every intention of helping Mimi. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if Mimi was hurt or in danger.

She lifted her head, gazing at him for a moment. His attention was on the clock tower, the smirk on his lips disappeared. What was he thinking about? Part of him seemed rather solemn about it. Perhaps she was just over thinking it. She shook the thoughts from her mind, her jaw clenched.

Zena shook her head a moment later. She had to help Mimi. If it hadn't been for her prodding the younger woman to come out with her, she might not very well had to deal with this. She hated that thought and wouldn't be able to live with it if she didn't do something.

"I'll go with you," she finally answered despite the fear and doubt swirling in her chest. "But you have to promise me she'll be safe."

She wasn't sure what she could do if he didn't keep this promise. Still, it was some confirmation that she would not be easy to deal with if the promise was not kept. Despite her appearance and her inward conflict, she could become incredibly stubborn and even rebellious if she had the chance.

Zena did her best to resist asking questions at this point as well. What he needed her for, where he would take her, why it needed to 'stay that way for a while', as he said; these and many other questions swirled in her mind. She did her best to quash them for a time. She had little doubt they would be answered soon if at all.

"That's all I ask," she plowed on. "I'll do whatever you ask. As long as she's safe."

Axel's quick recollection of memories when he gazed to the tower was a short lived moment. It all seemed not too long ago that he was sitting up there, and enjoying the sunset view with those that he considered friends. The many good memories of those days still stayed with him, and it made him ache despite the fact that he didn't have a heart to call his own.

His grip on Zena wasn't tight on her, and he wanted things to go smoothly without any disastrous trouble. After moments of silence an answer finally risen to his offer, and it all seemed to work in his favor. Though he wasn't surprised at the request that the woman from earlier be kept safe.

Just one extra task he had to keep.

"... It's a deal. She'll be safe, and will stay safe..."

Despite the short mull of his reply Axel would keep his word. He needed one of them at for what he had planned. Though Zena was proving to be much more of a challenge than he bargained for. With a returning smirk he snapped his fingers simply gazing to the clock tower once more before gazing to Zena.

"There. They're gone!"

With his reassurance that the Dusks had disappeared from Mimi's area he began dragging Zena a black portal soon appearing with a swift gesture of the red head's hand. A swirling mix of purple and black signified the darkness that the portal carried. The abyss seemed never ending in the doorway, and only Axel knew where the two were going.

He wasn't going to be surprised if Zena was hesitant to go through. All the more reason he gripped her wrist before.

The swish and swirls of the Dusks' bodies pounded against Mimi's eardrums. It was as if she could almost be touched by the creatures, and dragged away to the darkest depths of her fears. The beating of her heart quickened as fear began to take place in her system, and shutting her eyes the woman braced for what was to come.

She had regretted not bringing her shield that day despite how heavy it was. After all of today's events she just wanted it to end, and if she had brought her shield she might have been able to stay with Zena to protect her, and herself. The muscles in her body tightened as fear hugged her. Mimi could still hear the creatures inching towards her.

Then silence abruptly greeted the environment. After a moment Mimi gathered up the courage to open her eyes to find nothing but the plaza itself untainted by the Dusks that were here before her just moments ago. Knees slamming onto the ground Mimi shivered as she tried to calm herself down. It was hard to think about what could have happened if they hadn't disappeared.

Then Zena bolted into her memory. Clumsily rising to her feet Mimi dashed down the slope as fast as her body would allow her to only have her gaze meet Axel dragging Zena into a dark portal of sorts. The swirling dark pool of a doorway caused the woman to halt, but not before she shouted.

"Zena!"

Axel only halted just before entering the portal turning his head to gaze to Mimi with the playful smirk he greeted her with before. "Sorry but she's coming with me!" he yelled before pushing through the portal ignoring what movements and words Zena had in store as he pushed through.

Zena furrowed her eyebrows, gazing at the fiery haired male. Was it really that simple? She had her doubts. In fact, they swirled through her quite strongly. How could she trust that this man would simply snap his fingers and those creatures would be gone? Was that possible? With the opening of the dark colored portal behind him, she began to figure it might have been true.

She hesitated in moving and had to be prodded by Axel to take a step. Zena wasn't too keen on the idea of getting pulled through this portal but she had a deal to uphold. She gnawed on the inside of her mouth, allowing the man to prod her forward.

Her gaze shifted back onto once, catching sight of Mimi. Her heart pounded in her chest but she still felt a need to reassure the young woman. She inhaled deeply, trying to settle herself. She found it very hard to breath within the portal and whether that was because of her own nervousness or the darkness itself, she wasn't sure. Regardless of the reason, she couldn't take too big of a breath.

"Don't worry about me!" She managed to call after. "I'll be okay!"

Zena trailed off afterward, losing sight of Mimi in a matter of moments. She ignored Axel's own call toward the younger woman. It was what it was. She simply hoped Mimi really would be safe as Axel had promised. She wasn't sure what she would do if the promise was broken.

She found herself a little dizzy as, screwing her eyes shut for a moment. They were there and gone in a moment. When she next opened her eyes, she was nearly blinded by white. The room around her was large and blinding white. How anyone could stand looking at this for so long, she could only image.

Zena feel silent, the questions in her mind still swirling. Now she wanted to know where they were much less what he needed her for. She glanced up at Axel, her voice dying a moment after. Whatever questions she had seemed in vain now.

She felt she could only wait and see what happened until she regained the confidence to speak again.
