Leo wasn't sure what to make of it all. At least now they had her name, as simple as it was. At least Elliot wouldn't risk forgetting it later.

"Iris then," Leo said softly. He was half-afraid that speaking any louder would frighten her or put her own edge.

The way she spoke, sounding so defeated did not help matters. Leo felt heavy, a weight on his chest. How could they hope to help Iris? He wasn't even sure if a Leena would be around these parts.

His frown deepened as Elliot pushed for more information. The lack of anything was distressing enough. Had she forgotten? Iris had no head injury but what if whatever had happened was traumatic enough for her to block it out?

"Perhaps we can piece it together when you feel a little better," Leo offered. "Maybe we can even keep an eye out for this Leena."

If nothing else he could try to reassure her, to let her relax in some way. It probably wouldn't do too much good but something was better than nothing.

"Do you remember anything before you got here?" he offered gently.

----[x]----
Sharon watched Break and the newcomer, Leena, carefully. It didn't seem as if Break had gotten off on the right foot with this one. Again, Sharon couldn't help but to note. She supposed that as long as Leena didn't lash out things would be fine. If Break got too obnoxious she could always send him away for a short time and sort things out herself.

"Now, now, Break," Sharon interrupted. "If you keep this up she might withhold information just to spite you!"

The teasing was light though it held some truth to it. Leena did looks stubborn and with the oddity that her appearance had been itself they couldn't let that information remain hidden away.

Sharon resisted shaking her head. Instead she smiled kindly at Leena, noting the look of wariness there. She hoped that it wouldn't be long before Leena would open up.

Leena studied the two of them for a long moment as they spoke to one another. It seemed they acted as complements to the other. At least one of them was level-headed, Leena reasoned.

When Break spoke again she turned to him brow raised. "I can't trust you as far as I can throw you, why would I tell you anything?"

"Perhaps we can help each other out," Sharon offered. "In exchange for whatever information you have we might be able to aid in whatever is troubling you."

Leena took a moment to mull over that option. It was far more reasonable than what Break had been. Before she agreed or denied it, however, she first turned to break.

"Now, see, that's how you get information," she said.

Iris paused, mulling it all over. What did she remember? There was the door and then nothing. She'd woken up in the dark place barely able to walk. Her head throbbed in protest at that.

She shook those thoughts. She was more concerned about Leena. What if she was worse off? At least Iris had been found and taken care of. What if Leena was not? Her frowned deepened at that, worry apparent on her features.

Elliot ruffled his own hair, a little unsure of what to make of this girl named Iris. If they were dealing with someone who had amnesia, they were stuck. Trying to trigger memories wasn't exactly their best bet.

"Well, this is promising," he muttered to himself.

Leo seemed to be doing the talking for both of them. Elliot felt it was best. He'd adopted a softer tone, if only to ease Iris out of her worries.

Iris lifted her head, sparring a small nod in their direction. She drew patterns into the comforter, feeling too hot but knowing that it was the best method to break the fever.

"There was a door," she answered quietly. "I remember a large stone door and...we managed to open it. The next thing I knew, I woke up in that...place and started walking."

It might not have been much but it was the only significant thing she could recall. It was difficult to concentrate as it was.

----[✩]----

Break scoffed lightly in response to Sharon's words. Of course Leena would withhold information. Most of them did and she was no different. Break wasn't the best with people, after all.

He rolled his eyes, turning his attention back toward Leena for a brief moment. He grinned widely, throwing his arms out. He couldn't help but remain playful. It was often he adopted this kind of behavior.

"Now, now, we're just too alike!" He reasoned. "Hard headed! That's what's keeping her from saying anything! At least, to me."

He turned his attention to Sharon, a pout overtaking his features soon after. Leena seemed to have responded better to Sharon's suggestion than his own. He puffed out his cheeks at that.

"Well that's not fair." He noted in response, prodding Leena's shoulder lightly. "But I suppose if it helps, we can go along with Sharon's suggestion~."

If anything, it would help them both in the end. For him, it would ease his curiosity and nothing more. Whatever was on her mind could lead to bigger things. He simply hoped it wasn't a false lead in the end.

Elliot was keeping his distance, though Leo supposed it might be because of any impatience he was feeling. Delicate situations were not his forte, after all. Perhaps that was why he grew quiet, allowing Leo to ask many of the questions and prod Iris for information.

Leo shot a look at Elliot, as if trying to get him to stay silent. His muttering wasn't going to help anything if Iris took offense to them.

Turning back to Iris, he waited. Perhaps they'd find her some dry clothes to wear. She had to be soaked through, even with no rain when she'd been found. It had rained earlier, leaving puddles all over the place, after all and the fog didn't help matters.

"A door?" Leo echoed. "Well... do you remember where you came from, at least?"

It was no secret she was foreign. The clothes alone gave that away and her accent was unlike anything Leo had ever heard before. Would she want to try to get home or did she not even remember where that was?

----[x]----
Sharon was giggling, thought why Leena couldn't be sure. She seemed entirely too happy about the idea of Leena and Break being alike in anyway for Leena to be comfortable about such things. She didn't mention it, however. Sharon was the preferable one to speak to out of the pair, after all. It was best not to step on the young girl's toes.

"Quite the match we have here!" Sharon seemed to cheer. A glance her way proved that her eyes were alight again. "Perhaps there's hope for you yet, Break!"

Leena said nothing on this matter, merely glanced between the two and shook her head. There was no need to get into the middle of the conversation. It was vague but with what Sharon had initially assumed Leena could figure out what she'd meant easily enough.

The smile on Sharon's face seemed to grow as Break all but pouted. What had he expected? He had been a brute in comparison to Sharon's method.

"Well, before Break so kindly kidnapped me I was searching for someone," Leena mentioned. The look Sharon shot Break's way did not go unnoticed though Leena kept quiet about.

"There was another with you?"

"In a manner of speaking, yes."

Iris swallowed hard, trying it ignore the blonds muttering. She was glad that whatever comment was said was under his breath. She wasn't sure if she could handle anything emotionally at the moment.

She glanced up, if only a little, to get a better look of them. They both looked to be about in their teens and their clothing was rather Victorian aged, like out of a book.

Iris blinked, trying to make heads or tails of it. This wasn't home or even the correct time. The place was lit with candles, there were no modern lamps or modern devices. She gnawed at her lip.

She shook her head after a moment. How was she supposed to explain that she was possibly from another timeline entirely? She pressed the heel of her palm to her forehead.

"I don't remember," she responded. "Just the door...and Leena."

She let her hand fall back into her lap, mulling it all over. She shook her head again. "Where is this, anyways?" She inquired after a few quiet moments.

----[✩]----

Break offered a chuckle in response to Sharon's words. Always looking for someone to hook him up with, much like he joked around about men for her. She seemed more embarrassed about it through the times however.

"Perhaps," he answered lightly in response. "And perhaps when you find yourself a man, we'll have this conversation again~."

For the most part, Leena remained silent through the conversation. She might have felt awkward or had no reason to step into it. She didn't know either one of them, after all. The way they acted could have easily come off as odd.

Eventually, he turned his attention back to her again. She had started speaking. Break blinked, waiting for her to finish her words. His curiosity only seemed to grow at the mention of another.

"Ah, well, if you had merely listened, I wouldn't have had to use force, hmm?" He shot back, his tone light. "Regardless, if there is someone else you're looking for, perhaps you can give a description and we can start searching?"

If this other person looked like Leena, she wouldn't be hard to pick out among the people. He had to wonder if that one was injured as well or lost. They would have to act quickly if that was the case.

"I assume they're much like you, yes~?" He further questioned. "If that's the case, they shouldn't be terribly hard to track down."

Leo waited patiently, still smiling gently for Iris' sake. She'd taken to watching them, perhaps getting a good look at them for the first time. If that was the case then Leo would allow her to do so. It was only fair, after all, now that they were able to get a good look at her as well.

Eventually she blinked, a thoughtful look crossing her face. It didn't escape Leo's notice how she looked around the room. Leo didn't bother to follow where she looked but perhaps Elliot was. Leo could ask him what he noticed later on.

After some time and a troubled look on her face, Iris finally answered. Leo hummed, pushing his glasses back up the bridge of his nose.

"We're at the orphanage near the ruins of Sablier," Leo answered.

The look on Iris' face was one of confusion. Yet again, Leo spared a glance with Elliot. Neither seemed to know what to make of this girl. Still, they had to help her in some way. Just leaving her on her own seemed cruel and Elliot alone didn't seem like he'd let that happen.

----[x]----
Leena didn't let it show but the way Sharon blushed and coughed into her hand was a little amusing. She was otherwise so confident and yet just the idea of hooking up with someone herself left her shy. Leena shook her head at that.

"Y-yes, well," Sharon began. "Why don't we get back to business?"

With that Leena spoke up, able to properly fit herself back into the conversation. The last thing she wanted to do was to get on Sharon's bad side. Perhaps it was this that had kept her so quiet moments before.

Shaking her head, Leena tossed a withering look at Break. It seemed he was intent on doing everything he could to instill that it was her fault alone.

"Her name's Iris. Couple years younger than I am," Leena started, perhaps a little reluctantly. "Blonde, short hair." She indicated as such on herself, her own hair much longer.

"I will be sure to spread word as soon as I can" Sharon answered. "Break, I believe you had your questions?"

Iris let her hand fall back into her lap. It felt too hot. She tried not to fidget. The pain in her side kept her from doing so. It was hard to ignore the dread in her. Leena was gone. Iris had no idea where she was nor could she find Leena, as injured as she was.

She tried to consider herself lucky. The way they had fussed with her earlier, she had to wonder if she was near death or not. Iris tried to shove that thought away as quickly as it had come.

She blinked, furrowing her eyebrows at the answer. She'd never heard of a place called 'Sablier'.

"What's Sablier?" She further questioned, glancing in between the two.

"It's a dangerous place," Elliot answered simply, tapping his index finger against his arm. He appeared impatient. "And not one you'll be needing to head back to."

Iris shook her head slightly. It throbbed in protest with the movement. She screwed her eyes shut for a moment, willing the pain away.

"But what if..."

"Your friend wasn't there." He quickly cut her off, a little more bite in his tone. He ruffled his hair as if frustrated. "We're gonna keep an eye out. You should worry  a little more about yourself here."

He scoffed slightly when she shuffled again, ignoring whatever pain assailed her. He heaved a heavy sigh, perhaps doing more harm than good.

----[✩]----

Break waited on the description of her friend. He ignored the look she'd sent his way. These things rarely bothered him. Her withering looks were treated like every other one he received.

The description was blunt enough. Someone like that, especially in attire Leena was wearing, would be easy to find. Part of him held out hopes that one wasn't hurt. He had many questions and if they had them both, he might gain more answers.

"Welllllll~, hopefully that will be enough." He answered after a short moment. "Can't guarantee everything though~!"

He glanced back to Sharon as she carried on. Break gave a simple nod in response to her words. A sly grin spread across his lips.

"Of course~." He answered lightly. "Mostly, I'd like to ask what you remember." He prodded. "Where you came from, how you got here. Things like that."

It was a start in the end. If she withheld any information, that was her decision. Until the other was found and he could match up stories, he could only assume the story she might tell.

PostSubject: Re: [PH] Life is Like a Boat [Reserved]   [PH] Life is Like a Boat [Reserved] - Page 2 Icon_minitimeSun Aug 11, 2013 5:50 pm

It didn't surprise him that Iris had not heard of Sablier. There was no way she came from a neighboring country that might have heard, after all. Perhaps she was so far away that word of Sablier had never reached. Which brought up the question as to how she'd gotten here in the first place.

Elliot had beaten him to the punch, an agitated tone to his voice. Leo shook his head. If he had to he'd act on it to make sure Elliot didn't put Iris on edge.

"People aren't allowed to run around the ruins as is," Leo mentioned. "I'm sure if there was any sort of evidence that someone was they'd be found."

In a way, that was how they found Iris in the first place. Leo didn't believe that this Leena was in Sablier, anyways. Why would she have wandered away from her friend if that was the case?

"Do you need anything?" Leo offered. "We could get you a change of clothes or something to eat if you're up for it."

Perhaps something of comfort would help her along. Leo could only assume, however. They knew little of Iris as it was. He entertained hopes that that would change as she healed. It could very well end the opposite way, however.

So he waited, keeping his distance. Who knew how she might react if they stepped close. Iris very well could be wary of them and lash out if she felt threatened.

----[x]----
Leena didn't spare another glance Break's way. It did little as it was, anyways. Perhaps he merely liked getting a reaction out of people. What a troll, she scoffed to herself.

"Oh, gee, don't get my hopes up or anything there," she said dryly.

It was only a moment or so later that the questions came. Leena had been expecting something more though what he asked for was rather easy. Much of it she couldn't even explain anyways. Regardless, she had to try to put something into words.

Sharon and Break seemed to wait patiently, their eyes on her. It did little to bother Leena. Instead she mulled over how best to answer.

"Where I'm from; not here. How I got here; fuck if I know. What I remember; a door in the woods."

Sharon shook her head, resisting a sigh. Whether Leena was being difficult because of Break or not it was hard to get a clear answer. Leena could very well be withholding information. Still, something was better than nothing. Perhaps she might cooperate better in the future, she wondered.

"A door in the woods?" Sharon echoed, hoping for elaboration.

"Sounds strange to me, too," Leena admitted. "Opened it up and kablam! I'm waking up on a street in backwater, nowhere."

Iris glanced between them again. Elliot seemed a bit annoyed. As to why, she couldn't say. She tried not to dwell on it. She knew neither of them and they didn't know her. For the moment, both parties seemed to be walking on eggshells.

She listened, trying to make heads or tails of it. Why was it dangerous? Was it because of that door or something else? She couldn't being to imagine what it was.

Iris finally nodded shortly in response. She didn't like the news but at least it was something. If Leena wasn't in that place, perhaps she stood a chance, wherever she was.

She blinked, lifting her gaze again. She had barely noticed that her clothing was drenched through. Her hair was still damp, aiding in leaving her cold.

"A change of clothes would be nice," she answered after a few moments. "If you have anything to spare."

"Of course we'll have something!" Elliot shouted back. "And don't sound so modest about it! You're the one who's injured and sick! Push us around if you have to! You've got the right to!"

With that, he stalked off to find her a change of clothing. If they had to settle on a mans clothes, it was better then nothing. He would try to ask about, see what they had on hand.

Iris cleared her throat, a little unsure of what to make of Elliot's words. Be selfish? It wasn't something she was taught to do.

"Is he...always like that?" She inquired instead, shifting uncomfortably. It was better then nothing, if only to break the silence between them.

----[✩]----

Break chuckled in response to her words. Indeed, it wasn't a cheery subject but he knew it was true. People disappeared all of the time, especially when the Abyss was involved. He had quite a hunch that this might have dealt with that strange place.

He didn't mention that however. He already knew enough that she had a lot on her shoulders. Despite her disposition, that was quite a bit to handle.

Her answer to him left him frowning. He snorted, the smile returning after a few moments. He shrugged his shoulders animatedly afterward.

"Well, that's certainly quite a bit to work with!" He joked, glancing at her again. "The door however, that is of interest."

Break glanced back toward her, watching her carefully as she further explained. It seemed that that door might have brought her here. If that was the case, she very well might have been involved.

"Do you recall what it looked like?" He inquired further. "Or anything inside before you were pulled in? Even a glimpse?"

If anything, it would give them an idea. If the Abyss was involved, this girl would be of great interested. He sparred a glance back to Sharon, wondering if she realized the same.

Leo's offer seemed to drag Iris out of her thoughts. He found himself grateful for this. What if thinking too hard about what she couldn't recall was the wrong thing? Something triggering could be just as bad. They'd have to be careful with how they handled Iris, at least for the time being.

He'd had enough time to open his mouth before Elliot spoke up. Rather it was more like shouting, even if his voice was quieter than usual. Perhaps that was only because of Iris' poor condition.

"Elliot! That's no way to act with girls!" Leo shouted back after him, even after he'd already left.

Shaking his head, Leo turned back to Iris. He smiled again, hoping she hadn't been offended by Elliot. They still had so much to learn about her. Who she was and where she was from. Whatever had happened to her must have been traumatic.

"Don't mind him! He's rather rude for someone born a noble!" Leo answered. "Sometimes I worry what he'd be like without me around."

That was something of a joke, though Leo knew it would fly over her head. Only Elliot and those in the orphanage at the time he'd first come around were well aware of his temper. It was only due to Elliot beating him to the punch that Leo appeared as the calmer of the pair.

----[x]----
Sharon merely smiled, waiting for Leena to answer. She and Break seemed quite content in picking at one another. As long as it didn't get too out of hand than Sharon would not interfere. Besides, someone needed to come along to keep Break on his toes.

So she waited, her smile waning as Leena spoke. It was a succinct answer though the mention of a door in the middle of nowhere drew her attention. Was it some door leading to the Abyss?

"Anything you might be able to tell us about this door would be a great help," she said, sparing a glance Break's way.

They had glanced at each other, perhaps coming to some conclusion Leena couldn't begin to guess at. It wasn't like she knew much about this place or what they even wanted.

With a sigh she leaned forward, leaning her elbows on her knees. She was doing her best to ignore how cold she felt, her clothes and hair still sticking to her. It helped to think back, or to try to. The details were fuzzy, though Leena wasn't sure if it was because of her head injury or not.

"It was big and stone," she started shortly. "If there was anything on it I wasn't paying any attention to it at the time."

"I see," Sharon said, bringing a hand to her mouth in though. "And you remember nothing afterwards? No sounds or anything you might have seen?"

Leena shook her head. It was a poor choice, her head spinning in response.

Iris blinked, watching as Elliot left the room. Leo was quick to shout after him. She didn't care for the noise--it made her head throb unbearably so. She didn't mention these things. She didn't want to appear rude to the people who had helped her.

When he turned back to her, he made quiet work of answering her question. She gave a small nod toward his reassurance.

"I...I don't really mind." She answered. "He reminded me of Leena, is all. I-it seems like he has a big heart."

She wasn't sure what to say toward the fact that that blond was a 'noble'. She didn't grow up in a country where such a thing existed. Overseas, that was very true.

"I wouldn't have guessed." She answered quietly. "And you? You're friends?"

She could only guess. Why else would they be together? Why else would this one reprimand the other for a mistake? Iris could only wait on an answer to confirm it.

----[✩]----

Break had waited patiently for her to speak up again. All the while, he noticed her trying to repress shivers and trembles. She really needed new clothing but she refused to accept them. She'd grow sick if she remained in them.

Sharon took the incentive to press Leena for answers. She was far more patient, gentle even, then he was. Break wasn't so much like this. He simply let people know where they stood with him.

He rubbed his jaw when she finally responded. A large stone door? He'd have to look into it but it did sound as if it was tied to the Abyss. If that was the case, both she and her friend would be playing quite a role here.

"It's quite a shame you can't remember anything more," he started lightly in return. "But I suppose that will be enough for now!"

Break motioned to her, noticing a tremor pass through her. She was scrawny. No doubt, whatever body heat she had was sapped by her wet clothing and damp hair.

"You really should consider dry clothing." He suggested. "Perhaps some warm tea, hmm?"

He glanced at Sharon, knowing that she could arrange that quickly. Leena needed something warm in her and he knew it would help. Still, he worried that she would get sick if she remained in those clothes. She was already in a bad enough state as it was.

Carefully, Leo moved a chair to sit in, placing his hands on his lap. It wasn't as if he had anything to do with them. Still, it felt odd when he didn't hold a book in his hands anymore.

"Your friend is like Elliot, huh?" Leo said. "Well if that's the case then she'd be easy to find!"

It was true enough. Wherever Elliot when his pushy and almost abrasive behavior and attitude got him noticed. If Leena had the same sort of temper then it would narrow things down. Leo could only hope it would be that easy, however.

"Yes, we're friends," Leo answered with a smile. "Though I'm also his servant so I help to keep him in line when he's being obnoxious."

Leo waited for Iris to say something afterwards. She seemed so slow to get moving. Or perhaps that was only because she was wary, taking in all of her surroundings as best she could. Leo hoped she wouldn't strain herself if she ended up getting restless, however.

He hoped Elliot would return soon with something for her. Perhaps he was even getting picky with whatever he found. Elliot might surprise him like that, after all. Leo didn't think that was the case, however, but he wouldn't rule it out.

"I'm sure he'll be back soon with something," Leo finally noted after several minutes had passed.

----[x]----
After she had answered Leena could only wait and hear what either had to say on the matter. Sharon seemed to be taking a more diplomatic and softer approach than Break. Perhaps it was because of this that Break had grown quiet and allowed Sharon to take the lead with any questions they had.

In the brief silence that followed it was harder for Leena to ignore how cold she was growing, however. There was no air conditioning but it wasn't exactly warm out either.

Leena glanced between Break and Sharon as they finally spoke up again.

"If you remember anything more you can always speak up about it," Sharon offered.

Leena nodded, unsure if she would be sharing anything more. She was traveling through time or so it seemed. Something like that being said and they'd all only think of her as insane. Leena would rather avoid that.

"It really would help if you would agree to a change of clothes!" Sharon agreed. Leena only pinched the bridge of her nose, her head still throbbing horribly. "I'll get some tea started and you can both meet with me when you're ready."

By the time Leena lifted her head Sharon had already disappeared, the door clicking shut behind her. Break had remained though Leena wasn't sure how to feel about this. In fact, it was still odd to be sitting in a place where everything looked like it cost more than she did.

"Find me something that possibly has leggings and then we'll see," Leena finally said.

Iris tried to take in what she could around the room while she waited on Leo to speak up again. He pulled a chair around to sit and wait on his friend. Iris would have been rather glad for the company if it hadn't been for the headache. She didn't let that show.

She glanced back to him, taking in his appearance. Despite what he'd said, he looked a tad wild to be considered a 'servant'. His hair was long and shaggy. His bangs alone would have covered the majority of his face if it hadn't been for those rather large glasses.

"Leena is blunt," she finally answered. "He is very much the same. I'm used to those kinds of things now. I just don't care for yelling or loud tones."

Elliot seemed to take care in not causing that, at least for the moment. Who knew how long that might last. If he had an ill temper, then she might see it at some point in time.

"That must be difficult sometimes." She answered. "He very well seems rather opinionated himself."

Iris wasn't sure how to add to the conversation other then a comment or two. Her stomach was already twisted in knots as it was and her side throbbed, let alone her head. She worried immensely for Leena's whereabouts, if she was safe. Where had that door sent them?

She folded her hands then, her thumb drawing nonsensical patterns over her hand. It was only in a bid to keep her distracted while they waited.

----[✩]----

Break waited on her answer. She still seemed to stubbornly deny a change of clothing, even when pressed to change. At least they'd gotten something out of her and some reassurance that she would bring something up again, if she remembered anything.

When Break had the time, he would make attempts to dive into some research. Whatever this door was that Leena and her friend stumbled upon, he had an idea that it was tied to the Abyss.

Eventually, Sharon managed to pester the woman into changing clothing. She went off after, to start some tea. Break himself would more then likely indulge in sweet treats at that time.

His gaze wandered back to her when she finally spoke up. Break grinned, patting her head lightly.

"Ah, not one for overly fancy, hmm?" He teased lightly. "I will find something that will suit your tastes than."

With that said, he wandered out of the room himself, leaving Leena to her own devices for a time. It would be a short trip and back, carrying something that he believed she might like. Regardless, he felt she shouldn't have been picky. She could take ill in such wet clothes as it was.

Leo waited as Iris looked around, observing it all. There wasn't much but perhaps she felt better knowing what all was in reach. He certainly would if he had woken up in a strange place. Leo said nothing about it, however. No need to worry Iris further.

As he said what he was to Elliot he spied the way Iris took to studying him now. He smiled politely, tapping a nonsensical rhythm along his thighs as he waited. Perhaps Leo had even bobbed his head once or twice while he did so.

"It sounds like they're quite alike already," Leo agreed.

At the mention of Elliot again he glanced to the door. It certainly was taking a long time now. Did Elliot get lost or something? Leo wondered in good humor before shaking his head.

"He knows better than to fight back with me most times," admitted Leo with a broad grin.

He didn't look the type but he could throw a punch if he wanted. If not then a table or two flung at Elliot had a tendency to set the other boy straight. Most wouldn't have expected that of Leo, however. Perhaps that's what made him such a wild card when his temper was finally shown.

"Are you handling everything all right? I can fetch something for you while Elliot dawdles around," Leo offered.

----[x]----
Leena hadn't been planning on sparing another glance Break's way. He seemed to live off of riling people up, after all. It would only fuel the fire and that much Leena was positive of. However it seemed everything he did was designed to either attract attention or to bother somebody.

Feeling his hand on her head Leena's brow furrowed deeply. It was an almost patronizing action, even after he'd pulled it away and grinned brightly at her. Perhaps he was amused by the look on her face as it was.

"Ah-huh..." For another moment she was quiet, perhaps still wondering how best to react. It was only when Break had turned and strolled out of the door did she mutter under her breath. "I'll just... wait here then..."

Leena wrapped her arms around herself then, hunched over for a bit more warmth. As she waited the silence seemed to ring in her ears. She didn't want to get up and walk around. She still felt so dirty compared to everything that was nice in the place. Either that, she thought, [/i]or I'd just end up breaking something.[/i]

It felt like an agonizingly long wait, if only because Leena felt out of place here. Her hair was starting to dry at least, even if it stuck out at odd angles and had grown wavy in the process. Briefly she wondered if there was any sort of method to straighten unruly hair in this 'time'.

Iris was rather glad he hadn't been put off by her staring. For the most part, she found the act rude. Doing it herself only made her uncomfortable, knowing that she didn't quite care for it. He said nothing on the matter, simply smiled pleasantly.

His words left her a little confused however. Despite his pleasant appearance, was the more buried under the smile? If that was the case, he certainly hid it well.

"You...seem so pleasant though." She answered.

Iris couldn't judge however. Despite his appearance, he very well could have a temper of his own. Who was she to judge by his appearance alone. She didn't quite know him.

She shook her head in silent response. "I'm just...trying to make sense of it all, I suppose."

She lifted her head as the door opened again. Elliot was walking in, telling some children lingering behind to leave. In his arms was a bundle of clothing in his arms. The door was quickly shut after.

"I couldn't find much,"he explained."But I hope this will work for you."

Iris sparred a small smile. At least they were dry clothes. She couldn't complain, whatever they were. "I appreciate it."

She watched as he snorted, seemingly brushing off her words. For the moment, he didn't say anything more, just set the pretty clothes on the bed before stepping back.

----[✩]----

Break wasn't a fussy person but he had trouble finding something for Leena. She seemed so much like a 'tom boy' of sorts that it was difficult to pick through dresses. Most women were content with these things, mostly prim and proper. Leena herself, seemed the opposite, if her current attire said anything about it.

Eventually, he did find something that might suit her. It had taken time. Break brooded over where this girl might have been from while walking back to the room. She and her friend. They seemed so foreign yet both were here.

If the door they'd stumbled upon led to the Abyss, what did that mean? And how did they get out so simply?

It left several questions for him. Most didn't escape the Abyss. It was near impossible and aside from himself, he hadn't heard of many who had achieved it. Of course, there were clues that pointed toward it.

If these two could do it, somehow, then did that mean that Oz Vessalius could escape the Abyss as well? It left a little hope for this goose chase.

Break quashed these thoughts for the moment, pushing his way back into the room. Leena seemed to be brooding, a serious expression overtaking her features. He grinned widely at that, throwing a hand into the air.

"I believe I might have found something that will suit you~!" He chimed. "I certainly hope it helps! We can't have you freezing on us, now~."

With that said, he simply placed the clothing beside her before he would dismiss himself so she might change.

"I'll be waiting for you in the hall." He informed. "When you're ready, we may go and have some tea and cake~. Sounds lovely, hmmm~?"

He didn't wait on an answer, exiting the room again. Until she'd finished, he brood a little himself, trying to figure the situation out.

Leo could see the confusion that flashed across her face. Even the way she spoke gave away the things she'd thought. He merely waved a hand at her, well aware of how he appeared. Many mistook him for being completely docile, after all.

"Most of the time I can be," Leo answered lightly.

He continued to pat his thighs on and off, between the times Iris spoke. It helped to pass the time as they waited for Elliot. Outside the door Leo could occasionally hear the sounds of feet or a few loud whispers. He wouldn't have been surprised if some of the younger children were listening in.

Nodding, Leo mulled over what he might say next. Iris seemed well-adjusted already for someone in her situation and condition. Perhaps she was level-headed like Leo liked to be.

He didn't get the chance to answer, however. The door had opened and in arrived Elliot. From around him he could spy a few curious faces in the distance. They'd most likely scattered from the door when Elliot had approached.

"Ah, didn't have any troubles did you?" Leo wondered. "You were gone awhile!"

----[x]----
Leena had been lost in thought while Break had gone away to find her something to wear. Where Iris might be, how she was and even her own situation were all at the forefront of her mind. Merely figuring out how best to deal with the change in culture to match the time period weighed heavily on Leena.

So lost in thought she hadn't quite noticed the door opening again. Leena blinked up at Break when the clothes were set next to her. Even before he finished speaking she'd taken to inspecting them carefully.

"Well," she started, pausing a moment, "thanks."

Leena spared Break a glance as he traipsed back out of the room. And really, that was the only way to describe his gait as it was now. Break had to be going through great pains to be that carefree!

Shaking her head she turned back to the new clothes, perhaps appearing almost wary of them. Even after she heard the click of the door latching Leena didn't get up right away. After a moment or two she finally rose to her feet, peeling off the damp clothes. It was a slow process, if only because Leena felt no rush.

The clothing wasn't exactly what she'd expected though it would do. At least there were a pair of leggings to go along with the rather dressy outfit. Leena was glad for the change, even if it wasn't exactly what she was used to. Even as dressed down as she was compared to Sharon it was still far fancier than anything Leena was used to wearing.

Picking at the sleeves she finally pushed herself out of the room, feeling self-conscious. As promised Break was there, waiting and with that weird doll still on his shoulder.

"Lead the way," she said, gesturing to him.

Iris sparred a small smile in his direction. It very well seemed they were bit of the same, though, she had little idea how short his fuse was. For all she knew, he could have a quick temper.

The conversation slowed after that. Elliot returning brought their attention on him for the moment. He crossed his arms over his chest, his expression seemingly annoyed.

"The kids wouldn't stop asking questions."He informed."I doubt they'll be satisfied until they get to see Iris themselves."

Elliot could understand why the kids were excited or at least, curious. They always were when someone new came about. It was rather rare that someone was brought here at such an age, however. As far as he knew, Leo had always been the oldest within the orphanage itself.

"Maybe we should wait outside." He suggested. "Let Iris get changed. We can fetch Mary, if you need help."

That wound would keep her from doing quite a few things normally. If there was any way they could ease the burden, they would. At least she'd given a nod to that much. Elliot hated it when some stubbornly refused help when it was needed.

----[✩]----

Break had waved away her thanks. In the end, it was all for his own gain. He wanted to learn about her and her friend. Both might have ties to the Abyss. He couldn't allow either to slip away. Ones whereabouts was already a mystery as it was.

He waited outside quietly, brooding over it all. Whatever was going on, he wished he'd had more information. If she had forgotten the majority of the events, it might be difficult to gain answers.

Though, that wasn't an unusual occurrence either. Gilbert had lost his memories, tied to the Abyss as he was. Perhaps these girls were much like him.

He blinked, glancing back to the door as it finally opened. Leena finally appeared, tugging at the sleeves of the dress he'd chosen. It was dressed down, all things considered. She appeared a tad awkward in the attire as well.

"Well, don't you look lovely~." He commented lightly. "I do hope what I've choose doesn't bother you."

With that said, he started down the hallway, waiting on her to follow. It wouldn't be a long walk but the time it took, he hoped to gain a little more knowledge about her.

Leo chuckled, rising from his seat. That certainly sounded like the children around here. Many had insatiable curiosities, after all. It was partly why Leo had long since grown used to being around people after so long.

"I'm sure they can wait a little longer," he assured, nodding to Iris.

His smile slipped a little as Elliot spoke up. Of course they would need to let Iris settle in. Perhaps they could even find her something to eat, even if it was just a little. She had to have something to recover, after all.

"Ah, of course!" Leo said. "Would you like anything to eat while we wait for you to change, Iris?"

The least they could do was to offer. Leo would rather not just assume things, especially with someone so foreign. Even still he headed towards the door, his hand around the knob.

Leo would wait for her to answer before letting himself out. Perhaps Elliot would stay behind and make sure none of the kids sneaked in to see Iris just yet. That was if she wanted something to eat, after all.

----[x]----
Leena wasn't so sure about how easily Break had waved away her thanks. He'd made it more than clear the intent was merely to 'use each other' but that didn't mean that Leena couldn't at least express a smidgen of gratitude. She supposed she'd just leave it at that, however. There was no sense in arguing about it.

When she'd stepped out into the hall, leaving her damp clothes behind somewhere she figured wouldn't ruin anything, Break looked to be in thought. He'd even looked mildly surprised to see her. Leena didn't say anything on the matter.

When he spoke, that smile of his spreading over his lips again, Leena glanced down at herself. Rich colors greeted her, a far cry from the faded blue jeans and gray muscle shirt she'd had on. Leena briefly tugged lightly at the skirts, short as they were.

"If you say so," Leena answered. Though I feel a little ridiculous...

Her gaze lifted and she trotted after him. For each step he made it felt like Leena had to take two just to keep at his side. Was he even aware of just how quick he was?

Iris watched the pair. Leo pushed himself from his seat, easily agreeing that the children were rather curious. She was a tad nervous about that. Despite some kids warming up to her, she was always a tad nervous with them.

She didn't dwell on it for long. For the moment, it seemed as if they were taking care of keeping the children at bay. She was finding herself grateful for what they were doing. They didn't need to do anything at all, if they choose not to.

Iris blinked up at the pair. She hadn't though much about food though, focusing on it now she did feel a little hungry. Leo lingered at the door, waiting on her answer.

"Ah, umm, just something easy to keep down." She said. "If that's not too much."

She caught Elliot opening his mouth to speak up again. Leo was quick to quash whatever he was about to say. She was a tad glad for that. She gave a small smile in return to what was said before Leo would leave the room.

"I'll wait outside. Let me know when you've finished or if you need help, got it?"Elliot said."Trust me, if Leo thinks you're afraid of bothering me, I won't hear the end of it."

"I'll keep it in mind." She answered after a few moments. The answer seemed enough for him. He exited the room quietly, leaving her to her own devices for a short time. Getting out of the bed was a feat, her side burning in protest.

Working her clothing off and into the frilly looking clothing would be difficult. She would try to manage, as slow as the process would be.

----[✩]----

Break didn't gain much of a response from Leena. He didn't so much mind it. In fact, given what he'd seen before, he expected it. Leena didn't seem the 'open book' type. That made things a tad more interesting for the both of them in the end.

She had to pick up her own pace just to keep up with his. Break was always a little quicker then most other people. This never bothered him. To many, he was very inconsiderate. That was simply their view on him. Break had long since stopped being bothered.

"Well, you seem like a bundle full of confidence!" He commented lightly in return. "Don't quite care for frilly things, hmmm~?"

Break had to wonder just where this young woman was from. Most women didn't wear such things. Some had different tastes and dressed down, all things considered, but Leena was vehement against this attire.

"I suppose it'll just have to be something to get used to~." He answered playfully. "Might boost that confidence, I think!"

It wasn't hard to notice she didn't have much of it when it came to these things. He caught her flinching when they passed certain things, no doubt paranoid that she might break them. Break leaned over a little.

"Don't worry, truthfully, I think I've broken more things here then anyone knows. I allllwwwwwaaaayyss have a place to hide them."

He grinned at her, if only to bring her around. She seemed so nervous about it. There was no need. There were worse things, after all.

Iris seemed content to watch everybody, perhaps learning who was who and how they reacted would help her better later on. It certainly did with Elliot. Leo couldn't count the times that Elliot grew flustered or angry because something caught him off guard.

"I'll be sure to find some soup for you," Leo promised.

It was an easy thing to cut Elliot off. He was easy to prevent from saying something stupid, at least if Leo was inclined to.

With everything attended to Leo slipped out, keeping the door open just long enough for Elliot to follow him out. It would be a quick trip to the kitchen but a harder situation to find a clean dish. Anna hadn't done her chores today, after all.

If Elliot grew impatient with Leo taking his time he had not come to seek Leo out. It was hard to make Leo rush, however, if no one was in any serious situation. For now he could take his time and allow Iris a moment to herself.

----[x]----
Leena debated on asking (or demanding really, who knew if he'd listen to anything) if Break would slow his pace down. She supposed it was a moot point. Leena was usually the one frustrated when people walked too slowly for her own liking, after all. It seemed almost hypocritical to complain about moving too fast now.

She scoffed when Break spoke up. It seemed he had a penchant for pointing out the obvious. Maybe it was just another way that he'd learned to get on people's nerves.

"No, I just like making strangers' lives difficult," Leena rebutted dryly.

The way Break seemed so outgoing about the idea of Leena in dresses was strange to her. If it was any other situation Leena would have been highly put off and creeped out by it. Here it was merely an annoyance, though she tried to keep from snapping at him about it.

"We'll see."

Instead of really watching Break, Leena found herself observing the decorations around the way. All of it just looked so damn expensive that Leena felt out of place. There was no way someone like her, who'd always been in a low income family, could feel comfortable here.

Her gaze drifted briefly to Break. It certainly wasn't surprising that he'd be the type to go out of his way to break things. It was even in his name!

"Don't you have any hobbies?" Leena shot back.

Iris wasn't sure of the clothing. She'd never been one to wear dresses or frilly clothing. It was hard to put on as well, leaving her feeling a little more uncomfortable. They were dry and warm, at least. Her shivers had ceased.

She sat back down on the bed afterward, folding her hand sin her lap for a moment. She needed to take a moment to herself to think.

Iris was terrified. She had no idea where Leena might be, much less where she was. It didn't seem like it was her time. There were no electronics or electricity. Not that she could see. What of this servant talk as well? And nobles? That wasn't something she grew up with. No, this was all a very foreign place.

She ran a hand through her hair, her side complaining with the moment. She resisted a cringe though, failed in doing so. For a brief moment, she'd forgotten about Elliot sitting outside the room. She lifted her head when someone rapped their knuckles on the door.

"You alright?" Elliot inquired.

"Ah, yes. You can come back in." She quickly answered.

She tried to shift a little though, her side complained. It only take a moment for him to slip back in, glancing at her. He smiled rather widely, looking proud of himself.

"You look nice." He mused, albeit a little bashfully.

She snorted in amusement. Despite that pride and confidence, he still appeared shy. It was a little endearing in a way. Still, she shifted a little nervously, offering a short 'thank you'. With that, they waited on Leo's return, leaving her to brood a bit more.

----[✩]----

Break offered a chuckle in response. Despite her ill mood, she was able to joke about. It was dry but it was still an effort. He wondered if she was always like this or if she'd lighten up, given time.

Everyone had their reasons to act the way they did. Even he did. That was a secret that remained close to him, however. Perhaps she would figure him out in time. Who knew.

"Ah, well, we've something more in common then." He answered lightly. "Isn't it delightful to make a strangers life difficult?"

It was mostly a joke though, at times, that's what appeared what happened. He got on many people's nerves this way. For the most part, people were tools for him. Most didn't grow so close and he never minded that fact.

His smiled didn't slip at her words, though, he deflated a little. It very well seemed she'd brush off anything he said.

"You are a veerrryyy difficult person to talk to!" He mused. "Chip on your shoulder, hmmm?"

He was one to talk, though, she didn't need to know that much. For all he knew, she was simply worried. If that was the case, she showed it in a different manner.

Break blinked, a little surprised by the question shot his way. The grin didn't leave his lips however. He shrugged, lifting his arms lightly to exaggerate it.

"I've some hobbies, yes." He answered. "But it would be too easy to simply let you know what they are~."

Leo wasn't sure how much time had passed. Between digging out a pan to warm up a bit of soup and finding and cleaning a bowl and a spoon several minutes must have passed. He spotted one of the younger boys digging around for a snack and dashing off at some point.

Leo waited patiently, making sure not to get it too cold. He was a little eager to learn more about Iris, he found. Whether this interest was misplaced or not, well, he would deal with that as it came.

Eventually, however, he deemed the soup done and carefully poured it into the bowl. It was simple to grab a piece of bread for her to dunk or eat. She might very well decided she want something with more substance afterwards, after all.

With that he was out of the kitchen, balancing the bowl in his hands and making his way to the room Iris was in. Elliot must have slipped inside as he was not waiting outside. Leo merely tapped his foot against the door loud enough to be heard. It wasn't like he could let go of the bowl, it was a little too hot to do that.

When it was opened and he slipped inside he smiled brightly to Iris, placing the soup on the table near her.

"Looks like Elliot found something nice after all!" Leo noted, studying Iris in the dress she was in. She at least looked warmer in it, even if she shifted self-consciously.

----[x]----
Leena didn't think much of Break's laughter. It was quieter than she'd expected though perhaps he wasn't always this boastful and obnoxious. It was only a brief hope, however.

She did glance at him when he spoke up, a peculiar look on her face. "I'm still convinced you're high as a kite," she said bluntly. In truth, she wasn't sure she wanted anything in common with Break, with what she'd seen of him already.

Leena had to keep trotting along at Break's side. It made her head throb though she kept quiet about it. Who knew what Break might use against her. He seemed the type to use whatever he could to annoy or bother someone.

The scoff that escaped her was one she couldn't bite back. Break wasn't the first to say as such, after all.

"If I do it's not much business of yours," Leena shot back simply.

She grumbled something under her breath at Break's next words. Nothing was easy with him, it seemed. Perhaps he merely did it for his own amusement at this point. She'd try not to let it get to her.

Instead, Leena wondered how far they were going. Wherever Sharon had gotten off to Leena would much rather talk with the soft-spoken girl. At least she had some manners and didn't push so much.

Iris was more or less quiet for some time. She had to think and Elliot seemed to allow her that time. He kept an eye on the door, as if to make sure that no child attempted to come in. For that, she was grateful.

It was difficult, trying to figure it all out. Her thoughts were jumbled enough. In time, perhaps she could sort them out. For now, she simply tried to find a way to deal with so many questions.

Her attention turned to the door after the wait. Leo slipped back in, setting a bowl on a nearby desk.

"Well, it's about time." Elliot commented.

Iris shifted when Leo complimented the clothing. It was a strange sensation and one she wasn't so used to. Elliot seemed to take the incentive to speak up.

"Why do you sound so surprised?" He asked, annoyance written on his expression. Something told her he was merely joking. "Didn't think I could pick something nice out for a girl to wear?"

Iris bit at her lip, trying to resist a snicker or two. Already, these two remained her so much of herself and Leena. In a way, it left her both sad and happy at the same time. It was familiar, a comfort in a way.

"Cute," she finally commented with a smile. "You're both cute."

The expression that took over Elliot's features left her laughing a little. It was soon subdued as her side throbbed in protest. That was something she'd have to get used to for a while. Until it healed, there was nothing more she could do but wait it out.

----[✩]----

Break wasn't getting much of a response out of this one. She seemed easily annoyed and ill tempered. Perhaps it was the situation or perhaps it was merely how she always acted. He couldn't imagine. Not now at least. He didn't so much know her.

Still, he couldn't deny the similarities. He was much the same when escaped the Abyss. He had a hunch this was much of the same.

"My, my," he started. "You are not all that fun."

He knew that she would counter that. She didn't want to have 'fun'. Her mind must have been on other things. Where she was, where he friend might have been. Break could understand.

"Come now~." He pressed. "A distraction can always be a good thing~!"

Coming from him, it was an odd thing to say. He wasn't all rough around the edges however. Perhaps she'd learn that in time. Regardless, he could only manage so much. If she didn't wish to change her mood, she didn't have to.

It might have been amusing to see what she'd do next, after all.

Eventually, he would find the area that Sharon had set up. They wouldn't be outside today, given how damp everything was. It was a shame. A brighter day might have helped lift the mood.

"Hello~." He greeted, directing Leena into the room. "I've brought our new grump~. Some tea and cake might do her good!"

Leo didn't reply to Elliot. It didn't surprise him that Elliot had gotten impatient, after all. It was often that such a feeling came from Elliot anyways and as such Leo didn't indulge.

His attention was pulled from Iris, however. Leo shrugged, smiling widely. Elliot was already taking offense, though it had been a bit of a prod by Leo anyways. It would have been weird if Elliot hadn't risen to the bait.

"The only girl you have experience with is Vanessa," Leo defended lightly. "I don't think you knowing what your sister might pick or not would help!"

Whatever Elliot might have to say to that was cut off. Iris had spoken, complimenting them both. Elliot's face had flushed already though Leo smiled brightly. It wasn't often he was complimented as cute. Rat's nest for hair and wide glasses tended to thwart that image for most girls, it seemed.

"Well thank you," Leo said. "You're quite cute, too!"

----[x]----
Leena didn't have to look at Break to know he must have been pouting. He was doing everything in his power to annoy her as it was, surely he'd go the extra mile and look the part as well. Leena didn't want to fuel the fire any further than it already was.

She waved a dismissive hand at the comment. The sleeves even felt weird, so used to her sleeveless tops. Leena figured she couldn't complain, however. At least it was something dry. She'd already been picky enough as it was.

"A distraction from you is just a headache," Leena scoffed. It wasn't like her head had stopped throbbing from earlier after all.

Whatever he might have said was pushed to the side. Already he lead them into another room, Sharon already seated at a large round table. All sorts of matching china adorned it, and Sharon already seemed to have her cup of tea, cradling it in her hands. Her attention turned to them as Break spoke up.

Leena rolled her eyes, sighing through her nose. "Bah humbug," she scoffed.

"I'm sure some tea might help settle things down," Sharon said with a smile. She gestured to the empty chairs then.

Leena slipped into one, glancing at the pink and white china. Already there was a bit of tea in the cup before her, steam rolling off of it. Leena thought she smelled a faint peach scent though she couldn't be sure.

"Break didn't give you any trouble now, did he?" Sharon wondered before she took a sip of her tea. The pout on Break's face didn't seem to be noticed by her.

"Not in the traditional sense, I suppose," Leena muttered.

Iris blinked, watching the two. She couldn't help but smile a little as Leo countered Elliot. She wasn't sure who this Vanessa was but it was obvious the person was important to one or the other. She guessed Elliot the most, the way he sputtered for words.

It didn't take long for either of them to react to her words. Elliot, again, at a loss for words. He merely turned his head, his face flushed lightly. She had half expected him to raise his voice, seeming to be that type.

She found herself just as bashful however, when the compliment was shot back her way. She shifted slightly, feeling her cheeks warm a little.

"Thank you," she responded lightly.

Iris heard Elliot snort, watched as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Least I'm not the only one." he muttered.

She assumed it was at best his bashful behavior. It was a little odd, seeing a guy seemingly so shy. Between the two, Leo seemed to have more confidence in being able to handle a compliment or two. She offered a small smile in response.

Eventually, she did her best to move toward the table. Her side throbbed but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle at this point. At least she could try to eat.
"Would you...be able to tell me anything more about this place?" She inquired to the pair. "Just...out of curiosity."

----[✩]----

Break pouted slightly at her words. She wasn't quite the cheery type. What could he do? The more he pushed, the more she withdrew. If he had to change his tactic, he would. At the moment, his norm just didn't seem to be doing it for her.

Coming into the room, he wore a brood grin. It only took him a moment to walk to the table, taking a seat himself. He wasted no time in indulging in some cake. He had quite a sweet tooth that never seemed satisfied.

When Leena finally sat, he studied her expression. She was apprehensive. He guessed she wasn't used to this kind of thing. Those who weren't used to nobles or their homes normally were quite uncomfortable.

"Now, why do you act like I would be such a bother?" Break inquired, faking offence. "I've only tried to lift the mood."

With that said, he picked at his cake with his fork before finally taking a bite. Tea, for the moment, could wait. He glanced in between the two girls again, wondering what either were thinking.

"Traditional would be too boring~." He countered lightly, pointing at her with the fork. "I do like to stir things up a bit!"

Leo pride swell in his chest at the way Iris responded to the little compliment. He wasn't one to go out of his way to talk to cute or pretty girls, after all. Even those that he did weren't ones to be impressed by him. Leo supposed that was the way it was, however, and left it at that.

He didn't get a chance to reply to her thanks, however. Elliot was speaking up, perhaps about the way that he was not the only bashful one in the room. Leo chuckled, shaking his head.

"Ah, but confidence is supposed to be attractive isn't it?" Leo pointed out. "Sooo..."

A bright smile was given in return to the look Elliot shot him. Elliot wouldn't do anything, however. Leo could beat him if he lost his temper, after all. There was a reason Leo wasn't called "shorty" by Elliot anymore.

His attention was back on Iris, blinking behind the large glasses on his nose. It would help if she had narrowed it down, to ask specific questions. As such, Leo was at a loss of where to start.

"What would you want to know in specific?" he pressed.

----[x]----
Leena took everything in on the table, wondering if she'd be expected to adhere to any sort of conduct. It wasn't like she was well-versed in it. For a moment she merely took in the china spread over the table.

"That's because you're an instigator, Break," Sharon answered simply.

Whatever look Break tossed her way was ignored. Leena caught him glancing between Sharon and her from the corner of her eye, after all. Instead she'd reached for the sugar cup, unsure about the cubes inside. It wasn't like this was common in her time anymore.

"There's stirring things up and then there's being annoying," Leena shot back, dropping three sugar cubes into her tea. She hoped that it wouldn't be long before they dissolved. The steam rolling off of it was enough of an indicator that it was still hot, at least.

Sharon chuckled, a soft sound. It seemed she was a soft spoken type of person to begin with.

"It doesn't look like you'll be winning any friends just yet," Sharon said.

Leena scoffed at the idea. She wasn't one to be a people person, after all. Usually she just kept to herself. Leena had the feeling that it wouldn't be the same here, however.
